The first time I put up a vort app it was for a slave. I later on found out that you were and are currently not allowd to apply for vort slaves.
First off: Why is this?
Secondly: Will vort slave apps ever be re-opened?
The reason I ask is because I have seen absolutely NO slave vorts in the city AT ALL. Same question for stalkers.
Thanks

I don't think stalkers work for technical reasons. Player models and animations and shit.
As for the vort slaves, it's just because there's no formal system set up yet.
-
What do you exactly mean by "formal System"?
-
No class has been coded in. Animations are still buggy and Playing as it has a really annoying bug because of the Vortigaunt's head placement.
-
I see. Well I have a vort in the outlands. Its fine when I play with him. Yes I can see part of his head when I play and yes there is no weapon animations or jump or crouch animation but... Oh wow... Yeah you have a point.

-Resist I do remember seeing a Vort Slave in C18 I think it was Teh Penguin one time it was interesting but it looked like he was bored since all he had to do was chores which to me doesn't seem like very fun RP

That would be Chunkyemonkeys vortigaunt slave character, his vortigaunt does tasks for the CWU/CCA.
-
@Monkey I know and that's why I want a slave character. It seems like some actually interesting RP. Not for all but I would probably like it.

I am administrator on a number of servers that run HL2RP and I found that if you allow slaves it does somewhat increase role-play. If you get a swep for a broom it can be done properly with all the animations. But yes it is boring it's like being a citizen who is trying to get loyalist points but for no cause other than being told to. But anyway it draws people in nonetheless I would apply for it if available.
Also it composed of just actions and no talking.

@ Teh Penguin, I totally agree with you and yes, I know that tit's all actions and no talking. I like that because I play a supportive role in the RP. My roll IS (would be) passive but will encourage better 'mainRP'

All you need are sweeping animations and thats about it.
