// This is to detail my character ,who is now dead as you will read why, Kristina Butcher.
My name is Kristina Butcher, I've been looking for a suitable ledger to write this in for some time now. I am the leader of a small group of resistance members most notably found in a secret location. In our 1 month long life we have progressed from normal citizens into hardened resistance troopers. I am the one responsible for many of the current Unit's deaths and so are a few of my colleagues. I will not list their names for reasons of my own accord. I just hope that the people who read this are the right people, and they will spread the word that the Combine are not unstoppable. Today, will be the day I die, I recently got in an engagement where I was previously wounded, and with that wound I will die. Therefore today, I will walk into the plaza, and die, I do not know from what, but it will happen. These next few sentences will be my last for the rest of my life. I will need to thank everyone that supported me and aided me in my journey over the last month. Those few people know who they are, and I just hope that they meet a fate easier then mine. I will sign off now as I did in my previous years as a woman. Please, pass this ledger on to everyone, and tell them of my struggle, and that resistance is not futile, hope never dies.
