Anyone notice how the world has kind taken a turn for the worst? The economy is crashing, America is fighting several pointless wars in the middle east, it's not even safe to walk the streets at night in some cities...

oddly enough I joke about this.

Economic boom followed by a depression

Growing tensions between nations Primarily U.S. and China (if you haven't kept up on news)

I joke about it because it sounds exactly like how WWII started in the pacific.
