Dear diary,
The city is great, Fred said it would suck but I never believed him, he likes to lie. Sally wanted me to stay with her, but the old city was too... Everything. Luckily Fred came with me, but he was never much of a companion. I saw a cat today, I have no idea how it got in the city, but there it was. I pointed it out to people but they must have been blind because they didn't see it. What else? I know there was something else... Oh yeah. I met a girl, her name is Lucy, and she is beautiful. I met her at the ration place. We talked after, and we had a lot in common, we're hanging out tomorrow. I hope things go well, it's been a while since I've had a friend, and yes, Fred doesn't count.

Yep, but the person writing in the diary has no idea he is schizophrenic, so you get to see him have a mental breakdown. What's real? what isn't? how can we know?
