Huge map, lots of detail, road and canal network, many buildings, large skybox. Hopefully we can use this.

Download and check it out, if you haven't already.
What do you guys think?

YES. Just explored in SP. Large, and a big skybox enough to fit a hunter-chopper.

It looks amazing, and with the large skybox we could have all sorts of content.

Awesome. Am I able to use my flare OTA on Outlands and City? Or do I need separates?

Too linear compared to this beast. This thing has a high enough skybox for air machines and they can fly to each area.

Problem with outercanals is there isnt really an OTA base or even a building fit to have it, unless you corner off a couple of buildings and permaprop it in.

The skybox is bigish on city8 canals, and it also fits in with the city map also, keeping it a little more together styleswise

We were aware of this from the start. After a lot of consideration, we decided that OTA won't have a permanent base to speak of. They have a semi-hidden spawn point, but no designated building.
We don't want to take away from refugee roleplay by restricting buildings and areas. Overwatch should rarely need a building anyway. If units are online, they're expected to be on patrol, not lounging around. If a situation requires, OTA can in-characterly take over a building to use as a foward base of operations. But again, OTA doesn't have a designated, permanent "base building."

Seems fair enough.

Btw, just so i know. There are no CCA on the outlands unless for a rp reason its all just COTA right. And what do they do, just find, amputate/fight resistance and citizens or what. Not much information has been given on the outlands aside from the map before its release. Would be nice to have a post saying whats going to happen :D
