Title: Can't start up GMOD
Post by: Last Rank on July 29, 2013, 04:36:40 PM: This issue has been happening with me recently, and have usually found ways to fix it. However, this time I have tried everything there is and GMOD still won't start up.

The problem is, whenever I try to start up GMOD, it has the "Preparing to launch Garry's Mod...". After about a second, the small box disappears and nothing happens. In the past, I have re-installed GMOD then restarted my laptop and then it would work fine. The thing that would fix it is a Steam update. But sadly, it won't work now. Is anyone else having this problem?

The easiest way is just delete the garrysmod root folder and be like STEAM DOWNLOAD ALL THIS JAZZ AGAIN.

I would suggest keeping all your game files and just reinstalling the steam program. It will be clever enough to identify what games you have installed, mine does when I reinstall my partitions anyway..

It was a joke from when everyone just recommended deleting the blob file back at OC at any steam problem. Doesn't matter heh. Steam is a buggy little thing at times, but I think we've covered most of it. If you have any more problems then I think we need more informations.
