How does the ban point system work? so when goes my ban point away?

You will lose 1 Ban Point for every month of your original ban. If you receive your 5th ban point you are permanently banned from that specific server.

Channy got it right, but you have to go a full month from your previous ban(31 days) without getting banned again to get the point removed. You get a point for each ban 12 hours or longer.

Isn't 75% of bans more than 12 hours anyways.

Typically.  However, some admins would issue 6 hour bans in an attempt to let new players off.  I personally don't do that as I belong to the school of thought that says, "If you have told them the rules and forced them to read, they have no excuse."
