Title: Need Assitance with Gmod, it will not start

Whenever I try and start gmod, it will pop up an error reading "SteamStartup() failed: SteamStartup(0xf,0x0035E0C0) failed with error 1: The registry is in use by another process, timeout expired".  Anyone know what I can do to fix it?

Have you restarted steam?
Have you verified cache integrity?
Have you deleted the two .blobs
Have you restarted your computer?

What OS are you on?
What graphics card?

But I fixed the problem by uninstalling and reinstalling gmod twice
