So I'm playing some Halo 4, while waiting for my Garry's Mod to download Catalyst-Gaming's HL2RP maps, so I wait, but it keeps making exact copies of itself, I check my addons folder and there's the map with (7) on the side, it downloaded several of them while I waited, I manually put it in there from the downloads section, tried the game out, and it still does the same thing. Help?

Sounds to me you downloaded a 7-zip file that is split up into parts so it fits on small storage parts.
If you have 7-zip, you should be able to unzip the file into whatever you need.
Though, for better understanding of your problem, could you link us which download you used?
