Half-Life Two Roleplay

The Half-Life Two Roleplay city server is back.
Before joining, download:


Bare in mind that the current version of server is the first public one.
There may be and most likely will be bugs. Please be patient while we fix them.


We are aware of problems with loading forum usergroups. We are attempting to fix it. Do NOT message us about tooltrust's and about your VIP/Gold benefits being broken. We are working on it.

Not true, I first downloaded it through Garrysmod.org, they may download it from the link if they want to install it manually.

I did. Didn't work for me either.
For most people it hasn't worked, and yes, those people have gotten part two as well. The workshop download has worked for everyone thus far. You should probably just put that in there, instead.

This is the Clockwork gamemode that needs installing to fix some missing textures, and should be put in the original post for people to see too.

Also it is recommended to download these, as our HL2RP server is using them. The Metropolice pack is included as well. Just subscribe to everything, the Clockwork gamemode Abbott gave, and you are good to go mostly.

I don't think most of what is in that collection is being used anymore since it isn't RTLK who is developing now.

I don't think most of what is in that collection is being used anymore since it isn't RTLK who is developing now.
As abbott says, the only two things of use there is metrocops v5 and ineu pass, I would advise not to get that as its a waste of space.

Our copy of Clockwork was outdated. Our version attempts to connect to old CloudAuth servers, which were moved to different location. As CloudAuth fails to verify our serial key, the HL2RP server doesn't boot. We will put it back up once we get the updated version, possibly along with a new (small) update.

There's a reason Grist didn't want CW out yet, this is why. Customers whining constantly sort of forced him to release it in an alpha/beta state, this is the result

Aka kids whining constantly, he should've just constantly said no and continued working on it until it was in a playable state and was out of alpha/beta then release it.

There may be bugs, I can deal with it. Roleplay is more based around our imagination, if you wanted a flawless experience then you would expect animated movements with /me's and other completely ridiculous things. If there are bugs we can deal with it. OA had it's own share of bugs for all it's years of service and little-to-no-one cared. Things will be fixed but right now CW is playable.

The map in addon format won't work for me. Keeps saying I'm missing some sort of source material despite the fact I click download, save the file and leave the web page I downloaded it from open... :(

No cause it won't even fully download. It keeps saying "C:\Users\****\Desktop\rp_city45_catalyst_x1f final addon.rar.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.". :/
