Title: BASS refuses to work
Post by: Pielolz on September 10, 2012, 10:58:50 PM
I have done everything, SVN check out in gmod/gmod, the bass file itself, I have hit download, install and all that bullocks for bass, gone ingame press F1 in my car, and nothing, got nothing, no sound, not even an error message. I have done everything Darthwill has said. Please, help.

Where did you put the .dll files that are required at? I have bass.dll along with Awesomium.dll in my C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\username\garrysmod  folder.

I am not 100% but, i thought that one time when i had the bass.dll and not the Awesomium.dll in there it was not functional.

Edit: I will be on tomorrow if you still need help but as for now I am going to bed. Good Luck, if you look when I get off.

I've had an issue with it sometimes just not working at all, although I'd say 95% of the time it's fine. Not sure what your problem is, it could be installing to a different user's steamapps folder if you have more than one on your computer.

Check to make sure you have gm_bass.dll in:
C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\STEAM_NAME\garrysmod\garrysmod\lua\includes\modules

If not, then download this and put it there:

Everyone who had the problem of it not working did this and it worked.

Try and type ocrp_max_radios 5 in console and see if this works. If not, did you run the Install_Bass_Modules.bat in the SVN folder?

Below is a guide I had spare on my pc (Not sure if it overwrites existing files which might corrupt it.)
How to install Bass Module Application --.exe --
This is how to install the Bass Module for used on OCRP [exe Version] - It is exactly the same as the guide crap-head posted previously but it's simpler for those who don't understand folder placement and SVN's.

Download Link (http://filesmelt.com/dl/bass2.exe)

So after you have downloaded open the application on your desktop or wherever you downloaded it.

Then simply check the destination folder is correct

Click to see the original size.
It Should be c:\program files \steam\SteamApps\Steam User\garrysmod\  (Only first garrysmod folder, not second it's important)
Or for 64bit OS
c:\program files (x86)\steam\SteamApps\User\garrysmod\

Then Click Install
Click to see the original size.

Now you are ready to listen to the radio on OCRP!

Hope this helped!

Do you not get a lua message/error on the side of your screen or in console when you push f1 to trigger the bass module?
