After confirming my age and sending an email, I got this back. Only to find out it's during school.
It's my last Year and I need to study for exams.
At the same time, it could be my only chance to star in a film.
School would count it as unauthorized absence unless we payed them.
But I could try and get it and an educational visit.
Advice ppl?

Fucking do it. This could in fact be your only chance.

I would but how do I convince my school that a film named "Kick-Ass 2" is an educational visit? I've asked mum to count me as ill but she says 4 days is too many.

"pay" your school for time off? lol sounds like bribing
plus stop saying star :c if you're an extra you'll literally be walking around in the background lol, it would be cool but it's really not worth derping on an exam just to walk around and get on screen for 5-10 seconds

It's a 10 minute brawl scene acully. You get a bit longer to fight a stranger.

Edit: Me and 2 friends have a plan to get in. Our school let 2 kids be in Waterloo Road anyway so we should be able to go.

Dude, this is a once in a lifetime opurtunity. You should not even be asking what should I do. If you really want to be in this film then go for it, school can wait bro :P
-
As people said, once in a lifetime. You should do it, 4 days really isnt going to hurt you that much, heck you could use one weekend to catch up if it really is that important.
Of course, this is only once in a lifetime unless you're going to become an actor one day.

Actually planning on being a screenwriter/director so this could really influence me to connect with the actors.

use the future career experience ploy.
-
Its the fact my mum is not letting me skip school for 4 days because we have exams in May/January and something important could come up that we could miss. Oh well, we're getting the drama department from school on our side to count as an educational leave.
-
I would just say fuck school, exams can wait for Idgaf how long.
That's just me though.
-
Just ask your school to give you the work or lessons you'll be learning those days that you would be absent so you would have a physical copy and you wouldn't miss anything!
-
Seriously if this is going to be a POTENTIAL Career Opportunity then your school are OBLIGED to allow you to do this, also you should most likely consider this a place to get contacts and connections, not only to do your scenes. TALK TO PEOPLE THERE, if you can get numbers, business cards and all sorts of other things that is a step in the right direction.
If you dont have an exam timetable yet then they aren't for another month or two so don't worry, a good way to convince your mom is if you manage to claim the time off for this is too ask for the coursework you will be doing on those specific days and gather up that all to do after for your extra curricular time and your mother will come around to it.
P.S. If you're American, disregard all of this.
-
Shool just started again, so you REALLY shouldn't be worrying about exames yet. And if you miss any, you always have 1 or 2 retries.
Besides, why even bother with absense? Just report yourself sick...

That depends on what grade/age you are in and are. You can always take the test online.

You can't do that.
-
You're an extra, you won't be a top shot super star.
The only reason I would go to it is because you would see the scene and how they do it a sort of behind the scenes real perspective.
Also, nice spoilers they made, they could want you to wear a super hero costume? :o
-
Here's an update on things. I got school to agree that if I get through the application, I'm allowed off, if not, obviously I won't be in the film, hence I stay in school.

This is so cynical, this isn't just a part for a movie it's a place to gain connections. Stop the useless comments of 'oOo u r superhero oxox'
