Yeah, remove it. Its completely stupid, and should not be there.

I already suggested this to waffle and rtlk - as far as i know you could do it carp head you may as well, AT LEAST remove it from VIP/Gold members

iirc it's under settings for each usergroup, might be myBB that i'm remembering though
