My character would like to join the Combine Civil Authority because he wants to maintain sociostability. Without sociostability there would be crime ridden streets. He wants to help maintain sociostability.
He also wants to join the Combine Civil Authority because he respects them. They guide your life down the right path and help you get where you need to get to. They also are the people who give you your rations. Without these rations Including food and water and money, you would not be able to live.
Finally, he would like to join the Combine Civil Authority because he likes to be in a position of authority. Telling people what to do, completely the opposite of a civilian life. This will also be a whole new world of RP and opportunities. It adds a lot more variety to the RP experience.

Nick and I are expecting there to be times in the RP as a Combine Civil Authority unit to be hard. There will be a lot of judgments to be made. This will require a lot of thinking of what is right and wrong (In the eyes of a combine, not a citizen)
Nick and I also expect being commanded by higher ranking officers. We will follow all orders with no questions asked and no hesitation. This will make him a trustworthy Combine Civil Protection unit.

Nick was a kind, fun loving, smart 23 year old. He was a computer repair specialist in Miami, Florida. One day when he was repairing a computer that one of his customers asked him to fix, he saw a kind of weird shaped missile. He noticed that his surrounding area was being attacked with them. Nick ran out the door of the computer repair shop and ran to his motorcycle in the parking lot. As he was getting on his motorcycle, he fumbled for his keys. “Ah here they are!” He said. Heart thumping like a drum, he drove all the way to his home, adrenaline pumping all throughout his body while riding on his motorcycle. But he was too late. As he neared his neighborhood he saw the wreckage and carnage of the surround neighborhood. He was too late. Suddenly a sack goes over his head. Fast forward, you’re in one of the Combine’s residential blocks living your everyday life. Nick decided to go for a stroll. He went through an alley just to see what people throw out when suddenly he was jumped. Beating him with bare hands, 3 muggers took all of his rations and money. 2 Civil Protection units were passing on through the sidewalk near the alley and saw what was happening in the alleyway. They did not like it at all. They came in with stun batons on, emitting electrical sparks, and beat the 3 muggers and detained them. One of the Civil Protection units came up to him and gave him some band aids for his wounds. He said ”Try not to walk down dark alley ways anymore. Here are your rations, tokens, and your suitcase.” The Civil protection unit requested for assistance to drag the muggers to the nexus. From that point onward Nick realized that he HAD to become a Civil Protection unit someday to help the citizens in need.

My character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority for better meals and general treatment. The danger of simply walking down the streets, or talk to a citizen is really tearing on his nerves. But the Union, the Union provides safety and glory! Joining the Universal Union will grant him immortality and peace. This is what he believes due to memory-loss, propaganda and general sympathy for the Universal Unions cause. Joining the Combine Civil Authority would offer so many new opportunities, a better life, and a reason for living it.
2) Please detail your characters traits. (Eg, Pure, Lawful, Trustworthy)
Loyal - Memory-loss and propaganda made him sympathize and "understand" the rules and punishments.
Restless - Having a hard time just sitting in a couch, or looking out the window.
Empathic - Finds it hard to hurt anyone, or watch a person getting damaged or killed.

I expect the Combine Civil Authority, for me, to be fun and interesting. It will allow me new roleplaying opportunities and experiences. I hope, by joining the Combine Civil Authority i'll be able to provide fun and interesting roleplay situtations and experiences for myself and other players. For my character however, it will be harsh and brutal. The treatment will be unexpected and the challenges will hurt mentally and physicly, however. He is now helping the Universal Union, helping the citizens, helping humanity into a new era! The struggle is hard, but life has changed now. Now his life is worth living. Comfortable clothes, better food and drink, and now he's supporting the Union wich is the reason he is here!

Before the portal storms / Seven hour war:
Ryan Norms was born in Detroit living an average life, he was the only child in the family together with his mom and dad, as a child he was very energic. He never used any of the toys his parents bought for him, instead he preferred to be mainly outside running around and playing in the snow/exploring his surroundings. Ryan kept his energy as he grew up, often participating in sport-contests at school. He always managed to get on the top-three. And had won several times, depending on the sport. When Ryan became 20, he went in the military. He stayed for about 5 years before he decided to get a calmer job. He applied for a night guard job at a popular museum in Detroit. He was accepted and worked there for 7 years, having to deal with intruders several times.
During the portal storms:
At the night when Ryan was patrolling in the museum, a large explosion in the roof knocked him over, and he started hearing screams and gunfire outside the museum. He got up quickly and saw a terrifying creature in the front of the exit that seemed to be a head with legs, he grabbed his gun and killed the creature after several tries. He then ran outside and saw the city in chaos. Building were crushed and burning. Citizens were running around the streets with the strange creatures on their heads screaming and bleeding. Other citizens seemed unaffected by the creatures on their heads, and were instead attacking the police that were scattered across the city. Ryan helped the cops shoot the creatures but coulden't make himself shoot the attacking citizens, he avoided them instead. After a while Ryan ran out of bullets, and sprinted to his car. He drove out of the city and turned on the radio. He heard about the military securing certain cities from the strange creatures. When he arrived to the closest defended city he asked for his parents. They were dead.
Ryan was crushed, and was depressed a long time, until he got over it and started joining the other citizens rebuilding and helping with the city's general state. Until something even worse happened...
The seven hour war / after the seven hour war
As the combine invaded earth and attacked all secured cities, it didn't take long before they were conquered and Wallace Breen surrendered earth. All military forces and defenses of earth were destroyed or surrendered. And all citizens had the same job: none. Ryan was transferred to City 2. Where he didn't stay for long, he barely lived there for a month before getting transferred to City 18. Here he was getting less food and worse treatment. Because of this reason, and because of memory loss and propaganda he decided to applicate to the Combine Civil Authority. To help the "nice" aliens that ensured him safety and survival.

My Character wishes to join the CCA because he deeply wishes to better himself from the small role that has been cast for him in society. Also he feels his deep knowledge in medicine may be of use to the combine, And that he will find a place amongst the Combine Civil Authority. Also, he feels he could be one of the best in the Civil Authority and hope to become an Officer if he is accepted. Also, he wants revenge upon the rebel that slayed his brothers, Aaron and John. He believes his deep hatred towards the rebels will help him in his line of duty with the combine.
He had been thinking about joining for a large portion of time, but when the rebel slayed his brothers was the event that put it in stone. If he doesn't make it, he will stop at nothing to help the CCA destroy the Resistance. Furthermore, he has always respected the laws set in place; Unfortunately, he has seen to many people dis obey them, and wishes to enforce them alongside the brave men and women who uphold these laws.
My character loves structured authority and set in stone way of things, being a citizen is exstremely unstructured, a thing my character hates. My character has only been detained once, for being outside during a lock down, because he could not afford a home. Wandering the streets without a place to be is upsetting, no were to go, no true purpose to live, being in the CCA would give him a sense of purpose, something deeply desired by my character.

I believe The Combine Civil Authority will be an extremely structured environment, My character exspects it to be orderly, structured, and efficient. From what my character has observer it is all of these things, another reason to join. My character will highly enjoy the sense of purpose and structure, I will highly enjoy being in a Military styled environment.
My has always wanted to enforce and withhold justice, but only now has the opportunity arisen. My character expects the CCA to be a very military type life style, and is excited to do that. He knows it wont be fun and games, It will be serous and worth all sacrifice necessary to join.
My character is an Italian doctor for Rome, Before the take over he consider joining the Italian Infantry as a field medic, His dream was crushed when the portal opened. But when the Combine Civil Authority was so military like, it brought hope to his dream. His brothers were butchered by a Rebel, this fueled his desire to join the Combine Civil Authority. Never able to find love in the dark city 45 he had nothing to stay worthless for. He had always lived alone, but loved a team environment, Team work is a second language to him. Pre-war he lead a re-known Italian airsoft Club, they always won because of teamwork. When he lived in C18 he was saved from a fatal wound by a member of Adrenaline Division, That's another reason he wants to join, to help those in need. During his stay in C18 he was robbed by Rebels multiple times, fueling his intense hatred. While at a construction site in Rome, checking up on a patient, an electrified crane cable snapped and lashed towards the ground and hit him; Electrocuting him and and breaking several ribs, this is why he can related to a stunstick. On his way to modern day C45 the combine invaded, he ran and hid in the Italian countryside when the fighting seemed to cease, he when to Venice which was over run, he hadn't realized it was possible, Earth, Even Italy to be taken over in 7 hours. But even with Italy no longer being Italy, he still respects the Combine, and wants to join the ranks of the most powerful military organization in Earth's history. At first, he blamed the Combine for the death of his parents, but when the Rebel killed his brothers, he realized the Combine isn't the bad guy, its the Resistance. Everything in his life lead to this, he wants to utilize the opportunity.

Waking up in the morning, thinking it would be a normal day, was completely opposite. In fact, it was the beginning of the end. Or so I thought. Soon after I was captured to be placed into a city, constantly learning my lesson, I began to understand.
As I gazed at the posters, it lead me to understand there was no chance to fight them away.
There seemed to be no purpose for rebellions.
I decided it was a bad idea. After all, if I was a rebel, I'd end up as a corpse sooner or later. Sooner. I decided to lean toward the CCA, so I applied.

Trustworthy - Known to keep information from others knowledge.
Loyal - Finally deciding, I can report rebels and many wrong doings that are against the CCA.

A crack rocked the sky, causing the cereal box to fall over out of my hand and spill a few Cheerios.
I bolted to the glass door the house had, my feet thudding across tile and rustling the white carpet. What I saw was horrible. A black, writhing spot in the sky had appeared,
sending out pear-shaped objects with two purple oval-shaped parts on the side, a blade whirling on the back, camoflauge-like dropships with black containers on the bottom, and some tripod-like huge things, legs folded up into it's bottom. lol dirty joke
The next thing I saw was a white flash of light and blue, a horrible wood cracking sound, and then a loud thump which sends everything into darkness.
Next, I woke up among rubble with black-armored figures standing around me. I black out again, and wake up somewhere. I floated in and out of consciousness for a while.
Later, a long time later, I saw the CCA. I was constantly pushed around, still having scars. After some time, I began to look at the posters. I didn't think there was a purpose for fighting the CCA and Combine away. Just a reaction, but it was dumb.
I didn't notice it at first, but I soon became able to obey, but still scared. After some time of things happening this way, I
kept obeying, reporting people. I seemed trustworthy, and soon began to think of applying.
I worked up the nerve to do it, and finally decided to get an application in.

Combine Soldiers suddenly invaded, and we were pinned down. It was a long range S2M, and we were pinned down. I was firing and explosions were heard. Gunshots were everywhere. I was shouting, even fought a bit before I ran. Needless to say, I had music blasting.

My character sees that as a mere citizen, his survival is not very likely. He is of the view that should be become a CCA Officer, his standard of living will improve significantly. His life of living in fear has reduced him to caring about only his own survival and thus he is willing to pursue the route of a CCA Officer, whilst potentially having to harm his once fellow citizens.
Hayes has always seen himself as a rather imposing figure, given his height of 6'5, much like his brother, Isaac. Despite his height, his severe lack of nutrition due to the occupation by the Combine has diminished his once powerful build. Hayes sees this as an opportunity to return his old ability of, simply put, scaring people shitless with his mere presence.
Finally, Hayes has the misguided view that, should he manage to join the CCA, he can protect his older brother Isaac, returning the favour. Isaac saved his life on numerous occasions, fulfilling the role of a protective older brother very well and Zac is keen to repay him for this.

I expect the CCA to be a very different experience from playing as a citizen. Whilst I expect fearRP to still play a large part of it for me, after all there are powerful and scary high-ranking members of the CCA, I also expect that I will develop my oppressive RP styles. That is, pressuring citizens and enforcing strict rules and regulations.
I also expect that this will allow me to develop Zac's character a lot more and that it will allow me to explore an aspect of his character in which he is involved in an inner war between using his position to let his fellow citizens off easily and giving in to the whims of the Universal Union.
4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.
When the invasion struck, Zac was only beginning to come to grips with being a responsible adult; still getting used to legal beer. Almost dying in the second hour, Isaac saved him from falling into a river after a missile blew up a bridge and sent him careering into the flowing water. Zac was at first openly resentful of the invaders, using any opportunity to berate or humiliate them. Every time he would be beaten, but this did not stop him. Eventually, he assaulted a lone CCA officer and was, in turn, detained for 1 week and beaten several times. During this detainment, he was kept in solitary confinement and beaten at random times, severely. This had the effect of psychological torture and upon his release, Zac became a model citizen.
This continued for a number of months until Zac was forced out of a rations line for no good reason and left hungry. This angered Zac, who then tried to attack the CCA Officer in a secluded area. The CCA got the better of him and attempted to shoot Zac, but Isaac, who had come looking for Zac, saved him in just in time, bludgeoning the CCA Officer to death with a large block of wood. They were never caught.
Zac and Isaac continued to live within CCA regulations, also joining the CWU for a number of years. Eventually, they were evacuated to City 45 following a large-scale exogen breach. It was here that they quickly set up a business selling non-CCA approved food. However, it was quickly assessed that they were not making enough profit to feed themselves with this food and thus, Zac took the decision to join up to the CCA. Isaac was initially furious, citing that Zac was betraying him and would become a monster. After a few long nights of bitter arguments and heated discussion, it was decided that Zac would leave the CCA after a few months, though he knew himself that such a scenario would not occur. Deep down, Isaac probably knew this too, but he saw no other option. It was emotional - what a sad sight to see two grown men cry one each other's shoulders - but Zac had no options left, and filed his application.

Casano was first relocated to City 97, about 1/2 the size of City 17, and was located in Northern Britain. At the time before the war he was a simple college student making an attempt to enter medical school. During the war he made no attempt to resist against the Combine forces as he was unsure of what really was happening and decided to turn himself over because he found no point in fighting. The Civil Protection relocated Casano to City 97, a medium security city.
He lived a very simple citizen's life working for the CWU following the strict laws of the combine. He slowly started losing all means of anti-citizen behavior he had left through his rations. His life was never really that great in the world before the war so the Combine invasion didn't affect him as much as others would expect. The only family Casano had was both his parent's who he lost during relocation. Casano had a deep passion for entering the medical field and was unable to continue his education for obvious reasons. He is confident that his parent's are still alive but he doesn't have a deep concern for finding them because of his absence at college.
After working for the CWU for a solid amount of time Casano started to have a want to get back into the medical field. The Combine offered to recruit out of the CWU. He understood that the Combine had a medical branch and that is what led him to apply for the Combine. He is in hopes of continuing his passion for the medical field within the Combine.

Casano is a very plain being and has never had anything to great happen to him, within his mind he is still looking for a dedicated purpose he can latch onto. He will go through a very rough stage of gaining physical strength and learning how to use most, if not all, equipment the Combine use. He has never used a gun or purposely hurt someone. The transformation Casano will go through in order to be an efficient Combine unit will physically and mentally change and challenge who Casano is. The roleplay that will be required in order for Casano to successfully rank will require persistence from the command and possibly heavy brainwashing.
I have had an alright amount of experience roleplaying a Civil Protection unit so getting Casano through the recruitment ranks can easily be done, it really depends on how I portray his character and the higher ranks response to that. For the most part I have most of the technical stuff down as far as what to do during certain situations, contraband levels, and breaching. The Civil Protection will defiantly pull my full roleplaying potential out of me and create a better roleplayer within myself.

Casano was born in Memphis, Tennessee on November 5th, 1994. He was an average Elementary school student K-5, he didn’t have too much friends but his teachers always thought of him as a bright kid. After his fifth grade year Casanos family moved to Fontana, California. Fontana was a suburb of the great city of Los Angeles and was about forty five minutes out. He started his sixth grade year at Summit Intermediate school, the local public middle school. Casano was an awkward kid especially during his middle school years. He didn’t take middle school to well because of the tough physiologic problems most middle school children go through. He started enjoying school a little more at the end of his seventh grade and all through his eighth grade year considering he started gaining more friends’ overtime.
During high school Casano mostly got a 3.7-4.0 average. He had somewhat of a social life but nothing worth mentioning. He decided to start playing tennis and was pretty natural at it. This time in his life really defined who he was going to be. Casano’s parents were very tough on him during High School to get the grades for success. He mostly had a good relationship with his parents except from the few disagreements that happened during ones youth. After graduation he ended up attending Notre Dame University, a very good school. He decided he wanted to enter into the medical field because he had both the brain and the wits to do so. For the most part, he did alright as far as grades go at the university. He was a few years away from beginning medical school that is if he were to be accepted. He also gained some weight because of the late night school work and the late night parties.
At the time of the Combine invasion Casano was working on a human anatomy paper in his dorm. He was very confused about what exactly was going on when the Combine invaded. He wasn’t sure who was exactly invading or what he should do about it. During those eight hours he decided to stay within his dorm for his own safety. He turned himself over to the Combine after the news broadcast came up with Dr. Breen.

The most memorable RP experience I've had took play about five years ago in a small community called, "Steves Fun Roleplay". This server was a serious HL2 roleplay server using TacoScript. The Combine was organized into squads of eight. There was an 01,02,03,04,05,06, and 07 which ranked the units in each squad. I was an 04 with in a really good squad. The specific time I remember was when about twenty units lined up to see the promotion/demotion ceremony. All squads would present there promotions and executions. In this community, I was considered a troll as well and I was about 13 years old. I was still I very legit combine unit but I just sometimes didn't get things. My squad leader called me up to the stage during his turn for promotions/demotions. He told me to get to my knees and turn around. At that time he put a 9mm gun to my head and started saying how I needed to be executed and was a disgrace to the Combine force. When there was dead silence awaiting the gun shot he told me to quickly stand up and promoted me to 01. An 01 was the second commander of the squad, he had lots of power. This moment stood out in my head very well because of the great epicenes.

When the 7 hour war took place, my character wanted to fight. First, he saw the sheer power of the Universal Union forces, and was very afraid for his life. Next, he saw the brutality of the Universal Union as they killed all of the disabled and the young. Lastly, he saw the CCA. The CCA made him fearful, but he also respected them.
My character is a believer that the strongest man is the best man. In my character's mind, the Universal Union is the strongest, because of their sheer power and the CCA. Therefore my character thinks that they are the best to lead Earth and make decisions.
These factors lead my character to determine that he must join the Universal Union to survive and become strong. He also has started to believe Universal Union propaganda. He noticed the CCA applications and was instantly interested.

I mainly want to get on the CCA to add some variety to my RP. As previously said by many, the Resistance is almost impossible to get into. The CCA sounds like a fun way to spice things up.
I also have heard some radio chatter and the organization amazes me. It would feel pretty cool to be a part of that huge machine, functioning flawlessly. I expect it to be both fun and appeal to my wargamer (tabletop gamer) side. I also want to teach some lolrebels, punchwhores, mingebags and propkillers a lesson or two.

Origins
My character comes from a large crime family from Los Angeles, called the Leones. The parents were the main participants of the crime, but the children learned skills, and had their personalities shaped by this life. There were many children, Larry, Sarah, Rhianna, a few others (future characters) and this sibling, Joshua, and they all had different personalities.
The Seven Hour War
During the Seven Hour war, the family was attacked by Universal Union forces. Rockets and explosives bombarded the house, killing the parents and a few siblings. The attack and the loss of parents had different effects on the different young adults. For Sarah and Joshua, it struck fear. For Larry, it caused sadness and despair. For Rhianna, the oldest, it caused complete detachment from reality. They were then processed by the combine and assigned to cities.
The Siblings' Stories
When the siblings were split up and registered, they all changed names, since they had never had passports or any sort of ID. Rhianna Leone became Rhianna Frost. Larry Leone became Larry Jones. Sarah was the only one to keep her name. Joshua changed his name to Bradley. Rhianna was the first to die. She used to be a good daughter, in line to take care of the home. Her entire life was shattered when the combine came. She became a wreck, bunny hopping around, hugging CCA officers. She was beaten constantly and died one night from starvation and abuse. The next to go was Larry. He went wandering in the subways, looking for food. He was caught by the CCA and put in detainment. While in the Nexus detainment area he licked blood off the floor and knawed his pinky finger off. When the CCA officers found out they decided to play a game with him. They gave him laxatives. Then they put him on a box. He woke up and crapped himself, but only water came out, because he was so dehydrated. Then they told him to eat it. He was hallucinating, and ate it all up. Then they took him to the top of the Nexus, and he jumped off, thinking it was a slide. Both of these deaths contributed to Joshua's fear of the Universal Union. Sarah Leone also became a loyalist and received benefits, strengthening Joshua's belief that the Universal Union will reward loyalty.
Joshua's Life
Joshua has been having a normal citizen's life. He regularly eats rations, and reads Universal Union propaganda. He is not a complete loyalist, because he is too afraid to offend CCA officers by chatting with them. He has started to get fuzzy, and his focus is fading. He wants to join the CCA and become strong, not have to fear anything and help the Universal Union.

What leads my character to join the Combine Civil Authority is for a better life, more comfort and general treatment, living as a oppressed citizen being beaten for coughing is unbareable. Joining the Union will get him better treatment, respect, glory and honour. Or, according to the broadcasts, posters and propaganda. The brainwashing also plays an important role in this choice, because that again leads to sympathy for the Universal Unions cause, within the Union he will find peace, and die but still remain immortal... as an important pawn for the evolution of mankind.

Loyal - Memory-loss and propaganda made him sympathize and "understand" the rules and punishments.
Restless - Having a hard time just sitting in a couch, or looking out the window.

For me, i think, i know it will be a very interesting and hard roleplay at the start, hence earlier experience. It will provide me the opportunity to provide interesting and memoriable roleplaying experiences for myself and other players. I will have to read guides and learn the codes, but still roleplay my stupidity...
However, IC it will be strict and brutal. The punishment for doing something wrong or how i would have to deal with criminal citizens will leave mental marks. But i am now helping the Universal Union, the Combine Civil Authority, even humanity itself! The struggle is hard, but it's definitly worth it.

Before the portal storms / Seven hour war:
Ryan Norms was born in Detroit living an average life, he was the only child in the family together with his mom and dad, as a child he was very energic. He never used any of the toys his parents bought for him, instead he preferred to be mainly outside running around and playing in the snow/exploring his surroundings. Ryan kept his energy as he grew up, often participating in sport-contests at school. He always managed to get on the top-three. And had won several times, depending on the sport. When Ryan became 20, he went in the military. He stayed for about 5 years before he decided to get a calmer job. He applied for a night guard job at a popular museum in Detroit. He was accepted and worked there for 7 years, having to deal with intruders several times.
During the portal storms:
At the night when Ryan was patrolling in the museum, a large explosion in the roof knocked him over, and he started hearing screams and gunfire outside the museum. He got up quickly and saw a terrifying creature in the front of the exit that seemed to be a head with legs, he grabbed his gun and killed the creature after several tries. He then ran outside and saw the city in chaos. Building were crushed and burning. Citizens were running around the streets with the strange creatures on their heads screaming and bleeding. Other citizens seemed unaffected by the creatures on their heads, and were instead attacking the police that were scattered across the city. Ryan helped the cops shoot the creatures but coulden't make himself shoot the attacking citizens, he avoided them instead. After a while Ryan ran out of bullets, and sprinted to his car. He drove out of the city and turned on the radio. He heard about the military securing certain cities from the strange creatures. When he arrived to the closest defended city he asked for his parents. They were dead.
Ryan was crushed, and was depressed a long time, until he got over it and started joining the other citizens rebuilding and helping with the city's general state. Until something even worse happened...
The seven hour war / after the seven hour war
As the combine invaded earth and attacked all secured cities, it didn't take long before they were conquered and Wallace Breen surrendered earth. All military forces and defenses of earth were destroyed or surrendered. And all citizens had the same job: none. Ryan was transferred to City 2. Where he didn't stay for long, he barely lived there for a month before getting transferred to City 18. Here he was getting less food and worse treatment. Because of this reason, and because of memory loss and propaganda he decided to applicate to the Combine Civil Authority. To help the "nice" aliens that ensured him safety and survival.

Anna was living the life of a loyist but not fully wanting to join the CCA. She liked that life, she reported a few people, tried to help out the CCA the best she could. Then the city had a massive exogen breach and every one left for City 45.
When she got to the city she fell in love with it and she felt a need to protect it. But she went back to her old life of reporting and helping the combine.
Then one day she stepped in to the apartment complex and was greated by a CP holding a gun, telling to get against the wall.
She assumed it was just a raid. But it wasn't some one was in there with a shotgun, and she found out when she heard a shot then the sound of a CP dying and it broke her heart.
During the raid she just stood there facing the wall, tied up as she heard Combine dying left and right then she broke.
She decided that she had had it. That the rebels had to pay.
She knew what she must do she must do, whatever she could to stay out of shit untill the next application cycle.

I expect it to be hard as hell. I expect to be picked on because I will be a croot. I also think I will have fun, that I will get to meet new people and learn/make more RP.
On OCRP I always played cop and I really like being cop also I think this will be taking it VERY far. Its like jumping from a kid to a full blown cop in a matter of minutes.
I think Its going to be fun mostly getting to learn new people, new Characters.

Anna grew up in Seattle, Washington. Her parents where into Real Estate and made a whole bunch of money off of it.
When Anna was growing up she had everything she wanted, her parents had it all: Money, Cars, everything. When she started school she was a brat, she was bossy, she demanded things like better seats, better food and she got it.
But when she hit middle school she started calming down and started being nice and making friends and enjoying life as it was. Come the start of high school she was blindsided with bad news; Her brother died from Cancer. Her heart broke and she became a mean bitch. Any one that got in her way was punished. She hated everyone and every one hated her. But come the end of high school she met someone and he changed her. She became better, she was in love, but the love didn't last. they went their ways, he went to Texas A&M and she went elsewhere.
At the start of the portal storms she was in collage but she couldn't quite pick what she wanted to major in. Then one day something horrid happened. there was a shooting on the campus and she decided she wanted to be a cop. But before she could start at the police academy The seven hour war started.
During the war she spent the whole seven hours running, hiding, hoping that they didn't kill her. Come the end of it, she ended up staying alive and somewhat unharmed. She was moved to City 17 where she started a new life, tried what she could to help the CCA. But in the end she decided to transfer to City 18 because she was tired of everything in City 17. She wanted some quite times and peace.
But there really isn't ever any “Real” Peace is there?

He decided to join the Civil protection because he was sickend from the way people died. People half dead from starvation begging for food, and others waiting around him to die so they can take what little that he had. It sickened him. He knew that he couldn't die like that, and the only other way he would get half-decent food was to join the CCA
I think he's pursuing this ''job'' because he wants to get away from it, it's not a good feeling knowing that it could be you next who's going to die from starvation. He didn't want to join the CWU, because he didn't really think he'd get anywhere with them, always at the bottom just slightly better than citizens. He knew that you had to get FAR in the CWU for anything of luxury to come their way, and although the CCA wasn't the most luxurious place if he kept at it he knew that he would get a better standing of respect and authority.
The amount of prestige this job can offer if you work for it did persuade him to apply for it. Although at the start he would be at the bottom of the food chain, with time and pacience I think that he would move up eventually so he can really start making a difference for the Universal Union. One of the good things about my character's view is that he didn't have that many friends and no relatives where he lived, as they were all in Ireland. But he's happy with the things he's given and doesn't try and go behind peoples backs and suck up to people, Easy going basically.

I'm gonna assume that I don't have any special orders or nothing like that on a routine day. Well, if It's needed I'll patrol and radio in anything I see as important, even slightly. I think I'm ready to take the next step, which is joining the CCA. I've been away for a while, and I never took the chance to join the CCA, even though I thought I would be more than able for it. I always will regret not joining any faction, or even applying. As for this CCA, I think this'd be a good step in the right direction. Maybe I'll join the CWU or something similar in a while, as this community seems to be flourishing.
The CCA provides so much better role play, well, depending on who you're with. But people with white lists usually are chosen carefully and that usually means being a good role player. I'm aware what my duties would be, although maybe this server has slightly different guides and objectives, I think I can read up and get up to date of most of what I know.

Karl Romburgh was born in Dublin, Ireland. Nothing special about him, the most notable thing being that his family was poor. His mam and dad didn't have to look after him, as they had enough trouble looking after his other brothers and sisters, there was six of them, including him. He was kicked out of his house at an early age, as his mama and dad had trouble looking after all of his siblings and it was a welcome relief to be rid of one more. When he wasn't looking for work in one of the many inns and taverns where he lived-on the waterfront- he was out fishing to get food for himself or looking for a new place to sleep, as the city was horribly over crowded.
Eventually, he found a job as a sailor delivering packages to and from Dublin, it paid well and he liked sailing and swimming. This was at the time when people started calling him ''Scruffy'' because of his rough beard and ragged clothes. He soon got bored of the monotony of sailing, and longed for something new and exciting. When they sailed over to America, he quietly snuck out, as the captain was never to fond of deserters. Having no job and nowhere to live, he knew he would get a job as a bartender. He knew that many Irish people worked there and always welcomed the Irish. Americans especially liked them.
He applied and got it, it was tedious work and he soon got bored of it, more than once he snuck away to go to another bar. Scruffy was happy with his life, although he was bored he was earning what he thought was good wages, and stored it away to give to his family when he would go over to see them. But, like all good things Scruffy soon discovered after coming back from a bar and reading a newspaper, that ''Beings'' had come and were setting up cities all over the world. Seeing as he couldn't do anything else, he stayed put and eventually a city was erected in the city he lived in.
His food was lasting him, for he was swapping his old cash for tokens to survive, swapping with the greedy who still thought that old Earth's money would come in handy. But eventually his money ran out and he had to apply for the ''Civil Protection''. He never really liked being a bartender, but he figured he'd make lemonade out of lemons. He applied and was accepted, though he soon realized he wouldn't be allowed to skulk away like he would've done before. He had to shape up and realize things were different. He accepted that.

Well, I'm not sure if you'd heard about Severance, you probably had. I hung around there and Hl2rp servers as well. One server I loved was ages ago, and me and my three friends were there. We were just exploring' and stuff and suddenly a girl was attacked by zombies, we told her to run and follow us. So be brought her to the back of an abandoned garage car park, and put her inside. She then fainted. One of my friends had whiskey so he used that to help the cut and we looked after her. Two of my friends left to get a CEDA medic, while I stayed back. I heard zombie screams and eventually she awoke and I looked after her. Then, finally only ONE of my friends and a medic come back. I watch outside just incase while her and the other guy take care of the girl. Sadly I had to go off so I missed whatever happened next...

My character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority because he wishes to better himself from the small unimportant role cast for him in the ideal society the combine has created. Another reason he wants to be a member of the CCA is because the Rebels butchered his brothers, Aaron and John. This event has fueled his desire to become a Civil Protection unit, and also threw kerosine on a forest fire for his hatred towards the Rebels, In my characters mind the only good rebel is a dead rebel;the Combine seems to agree with that. And, a woman broke his heart. Now he has nothing standing in his way.
During a raid on the CCH four people were arrested, a woman, in possession of a handgun, a man with Crossbow bolts and a Crossbow. Another man with a handheld radio, a crowbar, and ammo, The last guy was just a punch whore who was locked in detainment for three hours. While watching this go down he realized how much anti-citizen activity he's seen, and how many times they weren't arrested, or over looked, Another reason for his passion to join the CCA.
Joining the CCA will complete his dream, his destiny. My character highly enjoys a structured team environment that he would experience in the CCA, Also a sense of fulfillment. The Combine Civil authority will be the best decision he's ever made, It'll also be a way to get revenge upon the faceless bastard whom slayed his brothers. He believes his deep hatred in the resistance will aid him in the line of duty. Furthermore, joining the CCA will take one more worthless citizen off the streets, and put one more man into the ranks of the UU.

I expect the Combine Civil Authority to be a highly structured, no room for error, team environment. Where hard work and sacrifice will be a daily part of life. I know it wont be fun and games, that it'll be difficult, I am prepared for the work that will come with duty. Also, the Combine Civil Authority wont a relationship of equals, My character knows that, and expects to be at the bottom of the totem pole for a long time.
Being a croot will be well worth it, My character knows that. Hard work, Team work, sacrifice, and possible excruciating pain will be a part of the job. My character has seen Members of the CCA die in the line of duty, severally injured, and punch whored to oblivion, Another reason I want to join, to apprehend those whom inflicted such abominations upon the CCA. Additionally, I believe that the Combine Civil Authority could use another Medic, seeming there isn't many already. I hope that I can finally have a home, With the Combine Civil Authority.

My character is an Italian dottore (Italian for doctor) from Rome. My character used to be the owner of a re-known Italian airsoft club, whom won most of the tournaments they entered, not because of one thousand dollar Systemas, because of team work. Team work is a second language for my character, and knows of the value of that in a military set environment, such as the Combine Civil Authority. On the way to Venice, to work at his job at Murano, the Combine invaded. He hid in the Italian country side for seven hours, he went to a near by village. Seeing it swarmed by soldiers of a kind wielding weapons he'd never seen before. They were called the Combine; he couldn't believe it, He couldn't imagine Earth, let alone Italy, be conquered in seven hours. It just wasn't possible. During the fighting in the short seven hours, his father and mothered died, just he and his brothers remained, Aaron and John, He could still survive and be happy with them, although his dream of being in the Italian infantry was crushed. When he and his brothers moved to City 45, they were happy; Markus, My character aspired to join the Combine Civil Authority, His brother Aaron, aspired to become the City Administrator, Whilst John, wanted to join the Civil Workers Union. While on a date (Yes I know this was illegal, Aaron was a dumb ass) Aaron was shot to death by a Rebel, John was near by and came to help, he was murdered too. Once news was brought to Markus his intense hatred towards the resistance was borderline postal, Joining the CCA will be a nice safe, legal way to get that scum bag, (Note, this isn't the whole reason I want to join.) My character has always lived alone, but always loved working together, This will aid him in the line of duty, and hopes that he can join the ranks of the Combine Civil Authority, To protect the peoples of City 45, to fight the Resistance, and to maintain order. While checking up on a patient at a construction site in Rome an electrified crane cable snapped and lashed towards the ground, my character was hit and was nearly killed by the shock, and the broken ribs, so he can relate to a stunstick.

My character wishes to join the CCA because he believes that he could assist in making the streets safer, aswell as serving the benefactors, as they are our saviours. Throughout his time in City 18 he has witnessed harassment, robbery, and citizens exploiting the city aswell as the benefactors gifts to the general populace. My character is tired of struggle that he has to go through and if he is to be accepted into the CCA then that struggle would end for him, and he will no longer have to live in fear.
My character is a loyalist and from being a loyalist wishes to live throughout the rest of his life helping with the Universal Unions cause. He would respect his leaders and follow orders stricktly and seriously. He hopes to be excepted into the CCA and become a respected leader himself.
What lead him to joining the CCA was because all the things he had witnessed in City 18, and one of his most trusted friends being excepted into the CCA. He respects the Universal Union aswell as the CCA because of their superiority. Zack was and independent person, getting rations every day and going back home. Zack wishes to stop this constant cycle, and start a new, more productive cycle in the CCA.

I expect it to be serious and for it to be hard work because of all the patrolling and other things. But my character has done nothing most of his life and will enjoy this new experience to his life. He will be excited and will dedicate his life for it as it will become his duty. Myself and my character will put a lot of effort into this.
I find that being under a ranking system is fun, and I enjoy it a lot. My character will have a purpose in life if he is to be excepted into the CCA and it would give him a main purpose in life. My character would try his best to be respected and to become known in the CCA.

Zack was born Toronto and lived there with his mother and father.His father worked as an auto-dealer and his mother was a stay at home mom. Life was good for Zack as his father would be making a lot of money from his job and Zack almost got anything he wanted. Zack was a spoiled child until he turned 18 and had to move out, so he decided to live in an apartment and find a good job. He got a job at his local supermarket and also met a nice girl that worked at a flower shop across the street, he talked to the girl and they began dating not to long after they met. They dated for 2 years until Zack moved in with his girlfriend, they lived happily.
Then, it happened, the combine came and the war began, everyone was trying to get out of the city without getting caught. Zack and his girlfriend heard about what was happening on the news and were devastated, the superintedent of the building told everyone to get into the basement. Not much people were there as it was only a 4 story building, and most of the people living there already left. They stayed there and waited, but the war was only 7 hours. When the gun fire had stopped they decided to leave the building and get somewhere safer. They all agreed on leaving so they left the building but were caught not to long after. Unfotunetaly, Zack was seperated from everyone else, and transferred to City 18. In city 18 he survived as a loyalist, and lived a normal life until the exogen raid happened. He and every other cititzen were trying to get to the train station. When he reached there, he was told to sit in one of the trains and from there, he was transfered to city 45.

When me and a small squad had to infiltrate a base and cut the power connecting to some machine allowing us and the rest of our team to get past their defenses. Most of us died in the end forcing us to fall back because the enemies had better weapons. Coast 11 Rp server.

1) Joseph drew Was born in the mid 1960+. In the middle of what we call the portal storms. Joseph Drew hid with his friends and such. But his friends each tryed to fight and died. his life became a sad time and he was assigned to C45 after C18 to live in. Most people like him but he is rather shy and wishes for a better life in each and everybodys days. So he keeps quiet and usually keeps loyal. but one day he saw something terrible. A civil protection unit got hit in the face by a man with a pipe. He scared Joseph Drew and was told to keep in a blindfold and count to 200.As he did. he used a trusty request device and saved the civil protection unit as helix come. So he knew what had to be done. Join the civil protection units. But this isnt all done. Later that night. he was enjoying rations given from his benifactors. But a exogen breach came in. And nearly killed him. But he remained calm by the civil protection officers. He so thoughtly wished to be with. As he admired them. He would go to the recruitment cycle afterwards. But one day, rebels heard of the people who think bright of our benifactors. And shortly after Joseph was caught. The rebels said ''Cut the man. he deserves it'' in different ways. He was in some sort of bag in D6 held hostage. But the unkeen rebels didnt check Joseph Drew. And he requested help. The civil protection saved Joseph Drew. And showed him to the next recruitment office.

I expect it to be hard and uneasy adventure. But with my keen skills and training for many athletic activities. He would remain in with the officers and have a adventure with the other CCA. my thoughts of this would be hard but not impossible.
Myself would always prove as a good CCA member and remained loyal through all damage. He would love to help the benifactors sweep the streets of anti-citizens. The scum of each city. As I walk to be in the rec office. I was ready and prepared for CCA.
On CGHL2RP I always played on my RCT before I lost it And I loved the fun times rping with other RCT. I took basic events and or fights. But my CP is a good man and a good MPF. hard times but good friends.

Joseph Drew was a hard working kid and a lovable person. He was born in Washington D.C. He was a old police officer with basic firearms and coding training. As he grew up in washington his life was tough. He lives in the streets as a child and his parents were murdered by local thugs. Resembling the scum rebels in the dark future. As he was groing up he saw police arresting a local thug. The one who killed his parents. The kid gave a angry yell and punched the thug in the gut. But the police stopped the young 12 year old from assulting even more.
ADULT LIFE
As Joseph Drew became 19. Things were odd. Black mesa news hit with alien invasions and such. He though nothing of it. So he continued life and went to the police DEPT. he went to a local policement And asked a recruiter ''Need any people to join'' The man nodded and smiled. A week later he went to his training camp and took training for 1 month. He learned to use a firearm. Defense tactics and many other authority training. His life would soon turn for the worst. Shortly in camp. the inspection came. Only 4 people got in with health and training test. Joseph was one of them. He soon talked and talked with his new friends.
PORTAL STORM
A few weeks later. Joeseph drew heard news. Crazy news. He ran to a nearby shed with many others. He saw strange dropships and soldiers killing the nations citizens. Joseph was scared. and didnt know ANYTHING of whats happening. He wouldent be a idiot to go out and shoot. So he threw his weapons down and surrendered. The friends were shortly killed after they resisted. This leads to when he went to C18 and later city 45. His life changed. and then he thought of his newfound want of a job ''The combine civil Authority'' Before this. He was a well known loyal citizen but not a loyaltist. He loved his newfound city in strange ways. Mostly because the benifactors reduced death and crime. And protected us from portal storms. He met some friends and then later wanted to go to the recruitment office. Just like in D.C Except the greeting was much more....Different. He turned in his paper and this is how it got here.

Joining the CCA wasn't really what Haley first planned to do after the Seven Hour War and doesn't seem something she for her. She had contact with a few refugees for a while and was more leaning towards the resistance side. Not for long though.
After being confronted with the offensive side of the resistance and their brutal use of unnecessary violance against innocent citizens, she decided the resistance wasn't what it looked like. Being shocked by what happened, she started hating the resistance with a passion, refusing to use anything which came from them. Together with the influence of Combine propaganda she started to really lean towards the Combine side.
From the simple goal of doing everything to stop the resistance and their violence, more goals evolved as a result of all the propaganda. Now she doesn't just wants to stop the resistance, starting thoughtcriminals in the streets or the refugees in the slums if she has to, she also wants better society. On top of that she wants to show her gratitude to the UU for saving mankind from destroying itself by killing each other, as she witnessed that one day.

Haley is mainly socially isolated, keeping a certain distance between her and the rest of the world. Being of a silent and calm nature most people do not notice her or value her presence. Her main qualities go unnoticed most of the time as she isn’t the person to step up to the leader role herself. As of her experiences in the past, she is really trying to do what she thinks is right, And together with her stubbornness this often results on her trying to achieve what she wants no matter what. You can try but she ain’t going to quit.
3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character?
For me it stays a new experience every time. Basics stays the same but the creativity on how each system is worked out are the things I do it for. Although I do like doing AC roleplay every now and then, I consistently keep preferring taking the role of the Combine Civil Authority. Mainly because I am really interested in the way they act and the entire political system of the Combine on earth.
Therefore I’d say this is another chance for me to learn. Learn new ways of doing this, new ways of looking at the CCA and Combine and an overall new environment to roleplay in. I can start off from the bottom again without too many people expecting something from me or just pulling me up in the hierarchy. I’ll be able to actually earn my ranks once again instead of just being given my rank which I’ve missed for quite some time now.
As far as my character goes, this is what she’d want. The Combine Civil Authority will be the continuation of a story which started quite some time ago already. It’s another place for her to shine but also to find out her downsides. It’s another step in character development which I’d like to roleplay (properly this time).

Haley grew up in a small peaceful town somewhere in England. Although she almost doesn’t remember anything from her childhood, she grew up as a normal child. The average of the average as nothing special is about to be said. She’d be there most of the time, standing aside being silent and going unnoticed by most, not requiring or wanting attention. Haley really enjoyed being alone, often taking a walk by herself in the forest behind her backyard or playing whatever there was to play on her own
The only one she was ever to come into contact with except for her parents was her brother Cordell. As they grew up together, Haley always took responsibility for Cordell. She kept an eye on him, stopped him from doing stupid things and helped him doing other things. The strange thing here is that Cordell was actually a few years older than Haley. But Cordell never was the leading type, he’d rather be guided by someone else which Haley realized quick enough and of course, (ab)used plenty of times.
As time went way they grew up, still living together in the same old town. It is around this time the first portal storms happened. Leaving the area alone for most of the time, the only thing they knew about it was what was said about it on the television. That was only for the first years though. They once struck a small village nearby, ruining most of it but still, most people thought it wasn’t going to last very long.
It is around this time also that Haley started changing. She left the now almost grown up Cordell alone to take care of his own life and isolated herself even more from the world. It became clear she wasn’t ‘just’ an average girl. Her interests were completely different from her classmates and she almost seemed to believe some apocalypse was going to happen, as more started to think at that time. Wandering off into the forest pretty often not to return until late in the night, refusing to tell anything about what she did in there. And even now those who care get nothing more than a “That’s none of your business.”
A few years after Cordell had gone to College Haley prepared to follow him in his footsteps. After having taken a year off from school for personal reasons (again secret), she was preparing to start studying for civil engineer. It was around that time when fate decided to take another turn. The Combine were waiting on Earth’s doorstep and about to knock on the door.
It all happened during a weekend where Cordell visited his family at home. The town was mostly left untouched, being of no importance. Some news was received through television but with all damage done to the big cities, that didn’t last very long. Most of it stayed rumors until the actually showed up.
Everyone got quickly assembled, checked, identified, numbered and transported to the nearby city. It all went like it was just a daily routine for them, everything being timed perfectly as if it was one big oiled machine. Haley and Cordell got split from her parents in the crowd, not to see each other ever again.
Before they knew they were up in a big city called City 24 by the Combine. For the first years they were just citizens among citizens, hoping things would change but too afraid to try to do something. Cordell mainly spend his time trying to fix some scrap just to trash it later in case Civil Protection stormed in. Haley spend most of her days as she always did, silent and unnoticed.
It was around 2015 when things started to change for them. Being relocated to city 33 in the meantime, they somehow managed to find contact with some refugees smuggling in some food into the city. In exchange for Cordell fixing some things for them, they both got some extra food and water. Although it wasn’t much, the thought was enough for them to feed on. After all the years of oppression they started wondering if it ever was going to end, not when. This was a tiny spark of hope of every being able to have a normal live again, for as far as they could remember how it was.
Around the date Haley thought it was Cordell’s birthday she usually did something special. Most of the time being just a simple thing, she decided to try to do something special this time. The idea of what to do exactly only came up a few minutes late.
She just picked up the food from the refugees when she thought of it, quickly turning around hoping to be able to find them again as they usually do not stay very long. As she heads in the direction of where she thought they went to, Haley starts running slightly knowing there is not too much Civil Protection in the area. After a few minutes, being almost breathless already, she notices what’s happening in front of her.
The refugees got into a fight with some loyalist, the loyalist clearly having made an attempt to call Civil Protection, only pissing the refugees off more. The refugees were dragging the body into some dark alleyway with some cloth in his mouth preventing him from calling help. Red blood can clearly be seen on his white shirt showing they had some fight already. Haley walks up to the alleyway and peers around the corner only to be frozen into place by what she sees.
The loyalist being held tightly into a rusty chair by a refugee while another was cutting some vital parts off or out. Minutes pass although time almost seems frozen. Finally, after deciding the refugee is worthless, which is normal without eyes, ears, tongue, nose, fingers and toes, they quickly stab him in the chest a few times, before letting his body fall to the ground. And as the refugees turn around, one of them spots Haley, recognizing her from a good 15 minutes before.
Adrenaline is pumped around her body as Haley realizes she is in a bad position right now. The refugees are heading straight for her but still she feels unable to move. One of them pushes her against the wall, staring into her eyes. Haley, having the eyes of the refugee filled with anger printed in her memory forever, just stares at his face, remaining silent. After a few seconds they decide she is not worth it and quickly head off, leaving Haley behind.
Haley, having seen the fury and hate of mankind for the first time, refuses to eat anything coming from ‘them’ as she refers to them. Being one of the few citizens with a passionate hate against anything even related to the resistance for how they are nothing better than the Combine and maybe even worse, Haley most of the time stays inside preferring not to be seen in public. Most of the time she just sits in a corner, staring in front of her with her eyes set to infinity.
Another relocation was made, this time towards City 45. Haley still thinking about that one day changed into the thing she first thought she’d never become, a loyalist. Being influenced by her hate for the resistance she started to forget what she used to think and accept what is being told to her. Reflecting the ideas of the Combine on what happened she was only able to conclude they were right.
And as that change happened, she lost her only reason to live. Surviving the Combine had to become something else, she only didn’t know what. It wasn’t until a few weeks later that the idea of joining the CWU got into her mind. But the CWU was nothing for her. No future and the same old boring job. It’s only when the news spread the Combine Civil Authority had made a major victory by eliminating an outpost of the Resistance within the city that she knew what faith she’s choose.

That one would date back to somewhere March-April last year. It was on the Relentless Canals server right after I left the CCA to join the Resistance with a friend. We had about 10 good roleplayers online, all sitting in one CCH playing citizen. Some of them were members of the resistance, another guy was insane, we had a loyalist and me and my friend (playing brother and sister).
Although we had a lack of CCA units online, we were all playing as if we were really in the first chapters of HL2. It’s one of the few times I really had that feeling of being there in the game. Over a few hours nothing major actually happened and we had tons of PassiveRP. We got a chance to interact, tell some stories and develop our characters. Really everything I expect from roleplay.

The reason I want to join the CCA or MPF or whatever you want to call it is because I just love to server, It is almost like a army that is in control of everything, they try to make everything a perfect life. It would also help me build my RP skills in the military. I also thought that it would just be wonderful to be one of the good guys (lol i know a little cheesy)..But is just love the combine and how they work.
It is also just a great side in the half life 2 campaign. If you ask me I just think how the combine do everything seems to just be right. After killing of over half the world. Making cities for them and containing them into small homes was also good to teach people how to get a long. Also by cutting off all the motor power cars, and getting rid of fossil fuel helped a lot to.
The combine have just saved are world. Many people dont think this, they think we are here just to kill him off one by one. But if you look at it they saved are world they helped the human race survive. They are one of the greatest things that have ever happened to us. Long live the Civil Protection!

was born in 1987 August 17th at 2:14 in the afternoon in Ireland. After 7 Years his father was teaching him how to use weapons. When he turned 14 his mother was killed by some resistance members. Then his father tried to find the resistance members that killed his wife and Brendan's mother. But he failed and was killed by the leader of the resistance. After 11 years of training he finally joined the combine force. He decided that he would find everyone who was apart of this whole thing. So far he killed all the lower rank resistance members, now all that he need to do is find the leader and kill him. But before he could he was kicked out of the force for getting his whole squad killed. He still looks back when the times were good when he had his whole family and when they lived in Ireland. He still wonders why to this day, why did they kill his mother, why did this all happen, when he figures this out he will have finished his task. So now he is trying to get back into the force and become a CCA member once again in the year 2016 and then make sure that everyone is put into their place. He has been waiting for many years for this opertunity (fail spell <--) to join the force once again. He has also decided this time if he gets to join the force he will be getting augmented (or robotic body parts) He is not going to be messing around anymore, this time he will not being one of those slack of type of guys, he is going to make sure everything is done right and he will be making sure he finds the resistance leader, he will bring him in, torture him, then amputate him on the spot. Antonio wishes to join the combine civil authority because of personal reasons. At age 20 on the streets of city 6 he witnessed first hand crime on a disgustingly high level. The carnage of such high level crime was a traumatic experience, especially when he was subject to a hostage situation. Since then my character has somewhat sworn to end crime in all cities and make a safer future for everyone, no matter the cost.
After the mass rebellion on city 6, Antonio’s parents were murdered in a rebel attack on the combine, which led Antonio to flee the city at age 21 leaving almost everything behind. He took the best possible train to lead him out of the city, costing him a lot of his gathered tokens but allowing him escape from the war zone. When Antonio arrived at city 45 where he made his home for a while, an outcast he still had the burning desire to stop crime, and now had a sworn revenge to the rebels. His lust for justice and his deep hatred of criminals led him to apply for the civil authority today.
As said, Antonio has a deep hatred for crime, but he also has a caring attitude. His many friends from city 6 were very law abiding and he had witnessed first hand a criminal being stopped by the combine. While his friends didn’t approve of the violence, Antonio was proud to see his hostage taker beaten down for what he’d done. The idea of making criminals pay was a good thought for Antonio, but even more so the fact that he was protecting others. Antonio aims to stop criminals and make them pay, so that citizens may carry on their lives in peace and happily, and that is all the motivation Antonio needs.

(Eg, Pure, Lawful, Trustworthy)Antonio is very centred around working as a team when it is possible, he has teamwork in the highest regard and he will always work great in a team to solve problems. He is a very lawful citizen, he holds the rules and laws in the highest regard and will do all he can to see them upheld, he will see to it whatever the cost to himself. However, he will in no way put his comrades lives in danger, and if they are in danger he will get them out of it, he is very protective over friends of any kind, from work allies to true friends. He is a very pure person, his heart is un-swayed from his choice to join the combine and he will stick to this choice for as long as he’ll live.
3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character?
I expect the life as a civil authority personnel to be hard for my character. Antonio does not expect easy work in any way, shape or form. There will be hard choices to make and he will have to be careful to abide the rules and tackle problems correctly and carefully, a somewhat daunting task. There will be a lot of obstacles to overcome and it shall be a challenge to keep a level head as much as possible, but that is what he’s expecting, and that is why he’s ready for it. Antonio will be ready for anything that comes his way, and he shall remember at all times to carefully think through his decisions and actions.
I also expect to meet my characters desires, and be able to take down the criminals of the street. I also believe that joining will allow me to meet some good work comrades who share Antonio’s desires for justice to be delivered. The benefits of the civil authority are minor compared to the responsibility, but for Antonio the greatest benefit is to see his lust for justice come to fruition, wether he does it alone or with comrades by his side all the way. Antonio will stop at nothing to prove his worth to the full extent for his employers.

The somewhat ruined area of city 6 is where Antonio happily made his home at aged 20 after the 7 hour war. He lived there for at least one year along with his parents. Antonio was a man with a burning desire for justice at all times, he admired the way the combine could bring these criminals to justice and he had always wanted to do the same. He was once the victim of a hostage situation, unfortunately the hostage escaped with his goods. But about a week later the same criminal was brought to justice and beaten down before Antonio’s very eyes. Though Antonio doesn’t enjoy the sight of violence one bit, he was proud to see justice served as it should be. As Antonio grew up crime was becoming even more rampant across the city streets, gang attacks, robberies, murders, all the crimes of a nightmare were happening before his eyes. And it disgusted him, the extent of these crimes made him detest criminals with a burning hatred at how the destroyed and desecrated his home, and how they ruined other peoples lives. The thought of the people in jeopardy every day from crime was unthinkable for Antonio.
At aged 21, about a month after his birthday was when the city 6 rebellions started to amass. At least 5 months after that, a war erupted between the rebellion and combine in a battle for the city. During an assault on a combine owned train-station, Antonio’s parents were killed before his very eyes by a rebel gun during their initial attack. Antonio was traumatised, and forced to escape the city.
He hid for days until the now combine occupied train station was up for service again, he used the majority of his tokens to buy the train ride to city. He went to city 45, the only city accepting arrivals at the time, leaving behind everything he had owned, with only a few tokens left over.
After the usual induction to become a city 45 citizen, Antonio made his vow to keep criminals down the best way he knew, in the civil authority. And he swore vengeance through keeping criminals at bay.

I loved rping as a citizen, i was a loyalist all the time and reported things to combine, while wishing i wanted to be one, i always wished that one day, i can become one. I sooner became more rebelish, and is why i gave up rp, because i realized how hard it was. Now catalyst gaming has hl2rp, very excited, played it, love it, very nice.
Although i was a CP on this server, being behind is the last thing i needed. I am re-applying, but this time, i'm staying in touch. I already know all the training, so basic stuff will be easy for me. I also have a friend of mine "Bobby" who has joined. I would like to keep in touch with his rp, because he is very good at it. All things aside, i wish to join again.
I am also writing a story, it think switching factions would be nice to do. Lets say i have a citizen character, i give the story parts of every chapter. Say 6 chapters it a part. I'm giving 6 chapters each part to each character. So i switch between the CP's story, and the Citizens story (kinda like Goodfellas). This happened with my other char when in training. But the SeC will always respect me, and tell the other people when and how to respect me.
The RCT's, may be joking with me, and all "Mr strong guy" to the citizens, some may be really sensitive and think they are fully mentally stable with CP. They will then realize that they were just RCT's. This happens with everything when someone joins something. They know they have to be good at first, then a bit later, they are gonna realize how stupid they think they were.

It was all over the papers, the news, and the television. James parents started packing to the subway in order to be safe. Thats when the portal storms started coming closer. By the time they got to the stations, the doors started closing. There they stayed for hours, until something happened. James's dad was gone... he wasn't in the station... someone took him. As they laid there, depressed out of there minds, James stood up, looking out the bullet proof glass, he knew a war was starting.
The 7 hour war occurred not long after Black Mesa's messy disaster. He was 12 years old after it had happened. Until he turned 17, he saw the combine rushing. He stayed there as long as he could. Breaching the doors, the Combine rushed in, lining up every person they saw in the station, killing every person they saw hiding or talking. With his hands on his head, and his head to the wall, he looked over his shoulder... his mom had been shot. He opened his eyes in fear, looked to the wall again, closes his eyes tight, pushing his head towards the wall... The gunshot fired... his mom died.
They took him for stand-by when he was 18. He stayed there as he sobbed looking at a picture of his mom, but he still always learned from his father "The military don't start wars. Politicians start wars." He knew he had to stand up and fight for the combine... He hated the war, but he also knew he could do something for the combine.

Anthony wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority because of the current un-sociostabillity.
He believes that by joining the CCA he can get rid of the anti-citizens out of City 45.
He also wants to join the CCA because he wants to have a higher social rank in the Universal Union system and have more authority over the citizens of City 45, a thing that he has wanted to do since he was in his teenager years.
And the final reason is that Anthony respects the CCA and the Combine. They have been caring about the sociostabillity and been giving out rations to the citizens, which he would have died without. Anthony believes that by joining the CCA he can finally serve the benefactors.

It would let my character roleplay fear to the higher ranked units and create inner-respect with other units which would be a great experience, both ICly and OOCly.
It well let me roleplay a strict and brutal character that will be able to do great things for the Universal Union, the CCA and the humanity, but will also let me roleplay a professional and civilized unit that is respected and honoured by the citizens and the combine. But it will also let me act as a professional unit that loves what he is doing. A unit that will treat his authority as an honor and a great experience. Before the Seven Hour War
Anthony was born in the suburbs of a massive metropolitan city to a family that consisted of himself, his parents and his older brother. His parents were leading a successful career in law, both being respected and known lawyers. His older brother was not only a relative but his best friend that advised him in his life. Anthony and his brother both graduated from the same university and they opened up a large civil law organization. His parents passed away when he was twenty four. He was depressed, and resigned from his position as the CEO of the law organization. He moved out into the country side where he lived until the Seven Hour War.
During the Seven Hour War
Anthony was awakened by the loud explosions outside his house, he immediately dressed up into a random set of clothes and climbed down into his basement where he had tried calling his brother, and unfortunately he was unable to contact him. He had stayed in the basement until the explosions were gone. He had climbed back up to the surface, where to his demise nothing was left of the house, but instead were the combine with large ships in the air and several troops infront of him. Sesmo was born in the former Yugoslavia, or to be more specific, Kosovo. As a young child, Sesmo was
bullied and beaten by his father, a raging alcoholic, until he fled his home at the age of 13.
Around the age of 15, Sesmo was taken into an orphanage, meeting the first and possibly his best friend, Josip Patin. Life was fairly well for Sesmo for the next few years, he attented a local school in the weekdays and would mainly sit in his room and read books at weekends.
A few years later, Sesmo was sitting in the main room in the orphanage, watching the breaking news on the television; Yugoslavia had broken into war. Later that month, an almost empty truck had driven to the village, taking young men to war, and killing any Croats in the village. Sesmo was terrified, not for himself, but for Josip, who was a Croat. When the men came to the orphanage, they started questioning people, inspecting young men to see if they could fight in the war, Sesmo was one of the many taken to the truck, sadly, his friend Josip was taken to another truck, this was the last time Sesmo would see him.
During the war, Sesmo yet again befriended some people, many of them boy soldiers such as himself. When the violence escalated, Sesmo could take no more of it, he had seen his friends blown apart, shot to death, killing themselves, all of this had torn Sesmo apart. One night, while in camp, Sesmo saw this as his one and only chance to run away.
After escaping from his camp, Sesmo hitched a ride on a truck, eventually finding himself in a small town in France, called Epernay, where he lived in privacy and isolation until the Combine took over Earth.

Jack hadn't planned on joining the Combine, in fact he loathed them. He witnessed the decimation of his planet, his country, his friends, his family. They took everything from him. If anything, he felt a strong sense of duty to fight the oppressors.
After caught supplying illegal foods to citizens in the city, Civil Protection busted down his door. He spent the next month in isolation. After being let out, he was changed. He was no longer rebellious or vibrant. His eyes were dead, and he spoke few words.
Fast forward some time. The poisoned water has corrupted his mind. He begins to forget his past life, and why he hates the Combine. The Universal Union is all I need. I love it. They give me food, water, shelter. But these foul people want to take these things away from me. I must defend the Universal Union.

Though beaten and malnourished over the many years of Combine occupation, Jack has managed to retain his keen and alert personality. Taught to hunt as a boy, his self-awareness and knowledge of the world around him have got him through rough times. However, the brainwashing has taken effect over the years, and will blindly follow the Union to his death.

You start as a recruit, basically just a citizen in a uniform. You are still learning the ropes of the CCA, and usually treated like crap by your superiors. Over time however, I will begin to lose some emotions for the citizens and become harsher and more sadistic. You are to follow your superiors' orders without question.
Most of the time my character will probably be patrolling and constantly using my radio. Sometimes I'll keep guard at a checkpoint or ration distribution. Beating a citizen will become a fact of life. Occasionally I might even engage in a firefight.

Jack was born on a farm outside what is now City 45 with two loving parents. He was a hard worker and did well in school. Often he went out hunting with his father. He grew accustomed to his Remington rifle, and became a good shot. He had a good life; two loving parents and a bright future. Then, everything changed.
Jack flicked on the TV. News clips showed "Portal Storms" raging and region-wide evacuations. Then the TV shut off and the room went dark. There was a loud bang, glass shattered nearby, followed by a shout. Jack grabbed his rifle, and walked outside. His father was on the ground, shaking and moaning. Jack rushed over to his father, then stopped in his tracks. There was something on his face. It was bulging, and had claws wrapped tightly around his face. His father gradually stopped shaking, then got up.
"Dad?"
He growled, and started shambling towards him. A shot rang out.
Jack dropped his rifle, crying. His mother stepped outside, embracing him.
The next day, flatbeds packed with soldiers passed by their house. Jack and his mother called out, and one of them stopped. They hopped aboard, and his mother asked one of the soldiers of where they were going. He mentioned something about heading to a city, and when she asked about the state of the country, the soldier simply shuddered and said, "It's gone."
Soon enough they arrived. Tall walls and barbed wire fences surrounded the city. Refugees were processed through the checkpoints. Belongings were taken away and piled up. A loudspeaker played music and urged people to remain calm. As Jack and his mother were moving through the mass, he lost grip of her hand. He called out, and panicked. He couldn't find her.
"Citizen reminder, inaction is conspiracy. Report all counter-behavior."
Years later, the Combine took over. Huge screens were erected in plazas and propaganda posters were plastered along the walls. Beatings became a fact of life. Rations were sparse and menial. Jack had enough. Through a few friends, he gained access to contraband food. He soon supplied other citizens with the food himself, but he slipped up. Civil Protection bashed down his door and dragged him away.
Jack was thrown in a cell, and never saw the light again for a month. When he came out, he was changed. He no longer was his same vibrant, rebellious self. The vitamins and poisoned water took its toll on him. He forgets his past and why he hates the oppressors. But he no longer saw them as oppressors, he saw them as liberators. He believes in everything they stand for and will blindly follow them to the death.
But one image has been burned into a his mind; his hand grasping his mother's hand.

I was an 01 at the time, and citizens were being unruley in the plaza. Myself and all the other units lined them up against the wall, I believe about 20 of them. One or two were shot in the back of the head as an example, and slumped down against the wall. Then one of the citizens charged at us and I cut him down with my SMG, and soon enough everyone began firing. After a few moments, the firing stopped and all that was left was blood and bodies. The bodies were piled up shortly after and burned. I don't think I've ever been so engrossed in roleplay before.

1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.
Anthony wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority because of the current un-sociostabillity.
He believes that by joining the CCA he can get rid of the anti-citizens out of City 45, maintain proper sociostabillity and enforce the civilized laws of Universal Union.
He also wants to join the CCA because he wants to have a higher social rank in the Universal Union system and have more authority over the citizens of City 45, a thing that he has wanted to do since he was in his teenager years.
And the final reason is that Anthony respects the CCA and the Combine. They have been caring about the sociostabillity and been giving out rations to the citizens, which he would have died without. Anthony believes that by joining the CCA he can finally serve the benefactors.

Well behaving; strict. The brainwashings of the Combine had made him obey the laws and rules given by them.

I believe that the CCA will provide tons and tons of great role-play, but I also believe that it will be a hard time for Anthony as he will have to be professional and to be obeying orders from higher ranked units.
It would let my character roleplay fear to the higher ranked units and create inner-respect with other units which would be a great experience, both ICly and OOCly.
It well let me roleplay a strict and brutal character that will be able to do great things for the Universal Union, the CCA and the humanity, but will also let me roleplay a professional and civilized unit that is respected and honoured by the citizens and the combine. But it will also let me act as a professional unit that loves what he is doing. A unit that will treat his authority as an honor and a great experience. It will also enforce a set of rules upon my character and myself.

Before the Seven Hour War
Gabriel was born in a small village in the countryside of Wisconsin. He was born into an average family; his father being the worker; working at his own farm; and mother being the home-maker. He did not have a brother or a sister. Gabriel received basic education at the local village, and graduated from a high-school. He did not go to a university; he thought it would be pointless, and instead he started working at the local fields. He was a hard-working individual that always gave up all the strength he had to support his family and himself.
During the Seven Hour War
Gabriel was working in the fields, when suddenly; a large object exploded about two-hundred yards away from him. The explosion forced him to drop his tools and fall onto his own back. He shook his head, as he glared in the sky with his eyes wide open; he noticed large amounts of huge drop ships flying in the sky and dropping canisters and explosives onto the planet Earth. Gabriel quickly stood up and ran to the nearest shelter, an underground basement. The basement was crowded with people, Gabriel could hardly breathe. It was only ten minutes before the bombings were stopped, the group – one by one exited the basement, slowly and cautiously. Everything outside the basement was destroyed; the nearby fields were covered with fire and debris from the explosions. A large group of combine soldiers was standing in front of Gabriel, their rifles aiming straight at him and before he could even react to them, he was knocked out. He landed on his back, breathing heavily and eventually; he lost consciousness.
After the Seven Hour War
Gabriel woke up in a small cell; there was a crowd of people around him as well. Suddenly, the combine entered the cells and grabbed every single person outside; to the drop ships. Gabriel did not resist at all; he was already brainwashed; he believed in a set of rules that were different compared to other people in the cells. Gabriel was then transported to City 18; he was also issued a pair of Universal Union – branded clothes and a ration pack.
City Eighteen
As soon as he arrived at City Eighteen, he was issued a house in the CCH, it wasn’t big, but it was enough for him, as he lived there on his own; the Combine brainwashed him so badly that he did not remember his past; the only thing that remained was his skills. He spent his time mostly in the plaza in front of the Combine Civil Housing, talking to strangers, but also the Civil Protection, who, he thought were glorious. Ever since Gabriel lived in City Eighteen, he had looked up to the Civil Protection as a force that kept the sociostabillity and laws together. He thought that there would be chaos without them. He dreamed of joining the CCA, but thought that he was un able to do so.
After a couple of months spent at City Eighteen, the population was being evacuated due to a huge exogen breach, countless citizens were killed, but Gabriel was lucky and managed to get away with the help of CCA, the new destination was C45.
City Forty-Five
Gabriel woke up as the train to City Forty Five stopped; he was quickly re-located to a new house. He heard about the CCA recruitment opening up, he was ecstatic by the news and quickly decided to fill out an application, he did not wait long to do so.
