Today I was doing the state school testing thing (blech :P) And I noticed on the Mathematics test one of the questions had a Lamba symbol from HL2 above the question number!!! Wow I didn't know School test's now have Easter eggs. ;D

/me facepalms... I actually learned about it in science in the 6th grade when learning about the scientific half-life.

Yeah, I got taught it a few months ago in British GCSE Higher Physics
It is used in the formula of (If I remember rightly):
WaveLength = WaveSpeed / Frequency
