Write a detailed in-canon back-story how your character obtained these authorizations.
'Pyro' was always a pyromaniac. He loved to create fires that caused destruction.  Through his life he had created many fires by obtaining gasoline from old vehicles and oil spills.  Later on, he had begun to make molotovs for defense.  During an OTA Raid, he even used one to distract a hunter and make it safely away.  He was now convinced that fire could solve almost anything.  He had rarely used his shotgun, using molotovs and other fire-based weapons instead.  He would become almost a master in pyrotechnics.  Recently, he had engaged in an epic zombie fight which he used one of his many molotovs. In this fight, he had ended up losing his best, right arm.  He had talked to Jon Geayman, who had helped him stabilize his injury, about how he couldn't use his shotgun and molotovs anymore.  Although 'Pyro' is not the most creative one, they got into a discussion about modifying his shotgun to fit his one arm.  He then remembered that he could not use molotovs anymore with only one arm.  Jon Geayman said he could use a matchlighter on the end of his shotgun instead.  He loved fire so much, that an idea shot up instantly in his head from the matchlighter with the shotgun.  Jon Geayman said he could easily reduce the length of the barrel to ideally fit his one arm situation.  'Pyro' had thought that if they had reduced the shotgun length, and somehow acquired the needed parts to reinforce the shotgun barrel, attach his old lighter to the beginning of the barrel , and use alcohol in a spray paint can to propel and emphasis the flame on the end. he could do it.  This would take quite time to produce, and with his protectiveness, he would not let lend it to anyone, or even create another one.  Of course, he would also have to somehow get and depend on a prosthetic to be able to use the flamethrower.

What will these authorizations give your character in regards to perks or defects?
Perks
-Ability to create a flamethrower
-Ability to use a flamethrower
-Ability to refill a flamethrower

Defects
-Search for gasoline
-Very crude machine, multiple failures
-Very heavy and awkward to carry around
-Loses shotgun

What do you plan to do with these perks/defects?
I plan to utilize the flamethrower as a main weapon for defensive purposes, and only offensive purposes if appropriate in events.

Will anyone else need these auths? (If so, list OOC and IC name(s))
No.

Which server does this apply for?
Outlands

Extra Notes (optional):
The reason I reposted this was because I was un-PermaKilled because of a vortigaunt revival authorized by Raiden.  I was never accepted or denied, so I wasn't sure if I had to wait to repost.

I'm in +support of this, mostly because of the RP I've seen from you on the servers. The application though, could use a bit more effort.

I have no doubt in your roleplaying abilitys, i do however have a problem with how you come to make the flamethrower.

  • How do you and Jon Geaymon plan on creating and working out how to construct a flamethrower without prior knowledge of any mechanical means.
  • What are your plans on how you gain the prosthetic arm to be able to use the make-shift flamethrower.

Jake Kingstone is a expertise in Engineering use of different specialty tools such as blowtorches and a few expertise and mechanical and technicianal needs. I probably could hook you up with a flamethrower if you ask IC'ly and don't bother to meta-game at all.

Also, there is a lack of engineers, mechanics, technicians in the Outlands. So, try and find someone convient.

I already know you and am around you often IC'ly, so I might happen to bring it up when I'm with you.

Bumping this. The auth app is still in need of approval. I myself, like it very much. The only thing is though, you'll have to RP scavenging for new gas for the flamethrower. And sometimes, RP it breaking down or something.

The flamethrower itself would break down completely at one point, meaning you'd have to fix it, which would be hard IC in your character's case.

I was talking with Bluff about this and i'm going to agree to these terms, i hope to see a lot of future roleplay devoloping out of this authorization.
