Alright. I have decided its time to sell my GTS250's. I have one buyer already and that means i need new card(s). I have been told by one person to get a GTX 580, another says GTX 570, and another says dual GTX 560 ti's (which i personally like). So right now, i really want the dual GTX560 ti's, but im still open for suggestions. Does anyone have any suggestions for video cards? Please make sure tha card is even compatible with my current set up and back up reasons for what video card you suggest.
My computer specs
MS windows 7 home premium 64-bit
CPU: Intel core 2 quad Q9400 @ 2.66GHz
RAM: 8 GB Dual channel DDR2
Motherboard: MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL MS-7380
Current Graphics:x2 EVGA GTS 250 512MB in SLI
Hard drive: 244GB WD2500
500GB WD5000
Power supply: X-POWER 600w
i am thinking of getting two of these.

Just not 580. Its shitty plan, always. Its a renamed OC'd 570
The warranty on that prebuilt of yours expire? Otherwise you'd be voiding warranty.
Also 2 560s is unneeded. They will play just about anything maxed out alone.

Well if i were to get 2 GTX560ti's, would it work alright with my computer?
Off topic: plz fix ur sig its too big :c

2 560s would waste money, but it would work. Dont know if your CPU would bottleneck it though.

Well i have no idea how this stuff works, so thats why i made this topic. If i am able to overclock my CPU would it still bottleneck the card(s)? Ive read on other forums that people can overclock the core 2 quad Q9400 to 3.0GHz or more.

Get one 560, and get a new CPU, as that CPU will bottleneck the stuff.

As blt, bottleneck... And there arnt many CPUs on the 755 socket that wouldnt bottleneck, and none that are well priced.
Honestly if you want to get 500 series or later, start saving for a new mobo, ram, and cpu too... That prebuilt is due for a rebuild anyways.
Those 260s should get you part enough.

Ok but i mentioned in first post that i have to get these cards now because of the fact that my friend wants to buy my current ones. I also want something newer so i dont have to upgrade video cards in 2 years.

Go with the 560TI then, it will bottleneck, but it will work

Good news! My parents agreed to get me 1 Asus GTX 560 Ti and a 750w-800w powerr supply for my birthday. Now i have $500 left over. Now should i just go and get a new motherboard and new processor and ditch the second card?

Does that mobo have 2 PCIe x16 that actually runs at x16? Because ive looked at a lot of mobos with 2 x16 slots but one runs at x16 and the other x8
