Debate Board

Recently, I've realized that there seems to be an increasingly growing number of people in CG that actually give a shit about the real world, and enjoy debating about it. So I think we should have a debate board, and someone who can be trusted and has an interest in debating should be the moderator.

A debate board would be for discussion of politics and other issues, and while I see the connection you're making between the two, I think it's necessary they be separate.

Other than doing politics as an extra subject cause I have a general interest in shouting at people why their wrong until they eventually realise their wrong Debating thoroughly points about each subject, I would happily agree with it and, if anything. Help moderate it. Debates usually turn into arguments faster than people can watch so I don't mind helping watch over it.

Sounds like a good idea but mostly bigots would be there.

Definition of a bigot:  a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group with hatred and intolerance.

On paper it's a good idea. In practice however, it will probably be a massive argument section. Not to be offensive, but most people at CG are not mature enough to carry on an adult debate of any subject.

I think if we do decide to get a 'Debate' section then it should be HEAVILY moderated. No trolls, no little kids and ESPECIALLY no derailing or going off topic. Nothing other than an adult, mature section.

I was just about to suggest the same thing. I think we should have this board, and possibly have moderator applications (perhaps run by someone interested chosen by a dev/SA/owner so we don't have to waste their time).
