General Discussion / Re: Half-Life 2 ep 3 Date and ideas

When they finally get to work on the new engine that runs with Ep3. Since the current Source engine is so much outdated that it's useless to even make a new game on.

I wouldn't say that, they made a pretty impressive MMO with the source engine.

Does she have a katana? :~)

10/10, very long bio that would have taken me hours to do. Good job, but this is a copy pasta from your fallout character, lol.

Yes it was a copy and paste, but I still had put the work into it, and no, she doesn't have a katana =P

Nice read, good length and development put into it, it seems. I hope to read more.

Awesome, hopefully when IG launches its server again I can get motivated to continue writing it.

----------|PART ONE: The Escape|----------

"Tyler... please" the middle aged woman said as she rushed forward, attempting to stop her husbands hand from smashing across one of her daughters face, but she was to late, the 13 year old girl's head spun with the hit, and she fell to the ground, rubbing her cheek tenderly as she glared at her father with an icy rage that showcased the tribal rage the girl was known for. "Your definence and will shall be the end of you, Jessica." The man said coldly as he stared back with the same eyes, turning to glare at his wife, whom had tried to stop him from delivering his punishment. "And you, don't you ever try to intervine the dicipline of my children, you hear me!?" He yelled as he raised a hand to the black haired woman, but did not hit. "Tch.. I don't have time for this crap, no wonder the tribe said bringing an outsider into the tribe was trouble."

Tyler walked out slowly from his tent, glancing at the tribe he was now in charge of with a small smile, various people going about their duties, some working at the furncaces, creating knives and blades to sell to towns and tribes nearby, while others worked on fixing up old broken pistols. This was the Night Tribe, a Japanese tribe located in Arizona, their speciaties revolving around hand to hand combat, mercenaries for hire, bladed weapon smithing, as well as pistol upkeep and repair. Tylers smile faded as he thought of what he did, breaking one of the biggest rules within his own tribe, to bring an outsider, one without Japanese decent no less, not only that, but having three kids with the worthless bitch. His eyes narrowed as he glanced at his 17 year old daughter, before speaking "Amber, come over here." He said in a voice of steel.

Amber, a young girl of 17, standing at a height of 5'11, glanced at her father with her blue eyes, getting up from her work, she wiped her hands together to rid it of dust as she walked towards her father, her long, black silky hair flowing slightly in the wind. "What is it, father?" She said with the same steel in her voice, the tension between the two almost tangable. "Listen, I want to make sure you keep Jessica away from the others, and do the same while your at it, your both dirty half breeds and I don't feel like dealing with all the problems you cause." Amber's eyes narrowed as he spoke. 'Typical' she thought, anything wrong that happened would be blamed on either Jessica or herself, and when Ashley was old enough, she'd also take blame, everyone needs a scape goat, but the strong willed tribal had enough of this.

The 13 year old girl, standing at a surprising height of 5'7, was punching an old sand bag ruthlessly as her older sister walked in, her eyes filled with sympathy and concern. "Jess..." Amber began, before Jessica turned around, practially screaming. "I hate it here! We're treated like shit and there isn't anything we can do about it!"

Amber's eyes glanced down in sadness slightly, nodding. "Well.. they have given us the same amount of training, besi-" "Like I care! I didn't ask to be branded with this tattoo!" Jessica screamed as she pointed to the Night Tribes' Trademark Tattoo, an intricent design starting at the stop of the left side of her neck, slowly trailing down to the left side of her chest and should, before spirling down and ending at her wrist, all three sisters shared the same design, even Ashley, who was only three at the time.

Amber's eyes set, clentching her teeth before looking Jessica right in the eye. "Alright, your right, it's time we leave." Jessica's eyes widened at her sisters suggestion.
"But.. where would we go?" Jessica asked before being quickly answered by her eldest sister. "It doesn't matter, we're leaving tonight, be sure to get Ashley ready, not even mom can know about this, got it?" Amber said coldly, and Jessica's eyes began to tear up, The oldest sister sighed, before speaking again. "You know that mom came here of her free will, she'll tell dad if you tell her anything." Jessica nodded in understanding, wiping the tears from her eyes. "Good" Amber said, taking a pause before turning toward the tent flap. "We Leave Tonight."

----------|PART TWO: Bitter Tears|----------

"Alright, ready?" Amber asked her younger sister, whom had the 2 year old in a makeshift backpack, holes cut out to allow her legs through. Jessica nodded, and then quickly left the tent they had called home sense they were born. Jessica followed her older sister through the darkness, staying close, her eyes strained to keep focus on the dark figure in front of her. 'Good thing Ash is asleep...' Jess couldn't help thinking, knowing her little sister would give them out. "Alright.." Amber whispered softly, stopping Jessica near a small gap in the hasitliy assembled gate. "Once we leave, there IS no coming back, soon as we make it through this hole, make sure you run, and stay right behind me, alright?"

Jessica nodded, her eyes set, she was finnaly leaving, finnaly getting out of this hell hole. Amber smiled at her little sisters softly, before muttering an old saying used in the tribe. "Nankurunaisa!" before leaving, disappearing behind the gate, with Jessica only inches behind her. 'If you live life to the fullest, look forward to tomorrow, things will work out,' Jessica translated in her mind with a small smile, before long they were at a break neck sprint, moving quickly through the night to escape the view of any patrolling tribesmen that may be nearby.

"LOOOOOK HEEEREEE BOOOOYS!" A familiar voice rang out as they were roughly 100 feet away from the camp. "LOOKS LIKE THE WORTHLESS WHORES ARE FINNALY LEAVING!!" another shout came, and Amber clenched her jaw, knowing who it was "Father, drunk to." Amber muttered, motioning for Jess to pick up the pace, fear ran through her body as her strong legs took the shock of impact as her feet hit the ground each time, things seemed to go in slow motion before the familar sound of pistol fire was heard, the sound of those scorching hot piece of metal making impact on the ground, dancing around there feet as the faint glow of various muzzle flashes shown from behind.

"MAKE IT! YOU CAN DO I-" A feminine voice called out, before a pistol shot silenced her. "Mom.." Jess thought with tears welling up in her eyes as she continued to run, her lungs aching, and her legs burning, she powered close behind her older sister, Ambers eyes also filled with a strange emotion she ever showed, sadness.

"We... Made it..." Amber huffed, about a mile away from the camp, they continued in a brisk walk, knowing that if they stopped they'd easily be found this close, and killed by their own tribe. "We gotta keep moving" Jessica said, her eyes red from the tears that dripped down her face, dispite her crying, not a noise was made, her tears were tragically silent. "Nothing is holding us to that place any longer." Amber said, before walking with Jess towards the west.

----------|PART THREE: The Fallen|----------

"Jessica! Dinner!" Amber called out, heading back into the makeshift camp, it had been around 3 weeks since their seperation from the tribe, and things had been going well, with their survival skills, and means for making money, they were well on their way to making a life for themselves in the wasteland. Jessica was seen heading back to camp, carrying Ashley in her arms with a smile, the seperation had done wonders for Jessica, her attitude had practically changed overnight, and that in itself was a blessing.

"So what's for dinner Amber?" Jessica asked happily, playing with her baby sister as she sat down, waiting for a response. "Figure we'd have some gecko meat, we're gonna have to go hunting again before long, and we need more water, but we seem to be doing alright." Amber said with a smile, setting the old plate in front of Jessica, whom would share her meal with her little sister, who didn't normally eat much in the first place. They both ate in silence, which was what usually happened, they both were happy and content, and there was never very much in terms of conversation, they just enjoyed being in each others company.

After packing up the camp that night, they began their pericless walk towards the west, working on getting as far from Arizona as possible. They prefered traveling at Night, not only did it deture any suspecious eyes, but it also kept them under a cloud of shadow that would protect them from the other tribes, who would see their tattoo's and attack, or worse. "How long until we cross the border into Nevada?" Jessica asked softly, her eyes scanning the large cliffs they were passing through. "This area is perfect for an ambush, I really don't like it.." Jess began to say, before a deafaning roar was heard, and then, rumbling. "Shit!" Amber yelled out, motioning for them to run quickly to the other side, up above, rocks were hurdling toward them, a rockslide, and a bad one.

"Jessica! Stop!" Amber exclaimed, suddenly they were met with dust, Jessica being knocked back by the force, her head colliding with another rock as she fell. When the dust had settled, a large, inpassable wall of fallen rock laid between Amber, Ashley, and Jessica, all three sisters seperated. Amber cursed, calling out for her sisters names, both of which were irresponsive.
"Guess... I'm on my own.." Amber said slowly, beggining the journy to the west once more, without her sisters.

----------|PART FOUR: Humble Beginnings|----------

Jessica's bare feet touched the hot sand, step after step, how long had she been wandering? She didn't know, she didn't know what had happened, and everytime she tried to remember what happened, she got a headache. "Tch... can't..." Jess said slowly, her icy Blue eyes coming across a small town up ahead, she smiled slightly, noticing a group up ahead, she finnaly made it, a town, no idea where, but a town none-the-less. As she approached, she suddenly collasped, the welcoming darkness of unconciousness sweeping over her for the 3rd time that day.

"Oi.. kid, you awake?" A gruff voice said as the girl woke slowly, her vision slowly coming into focus, noticing the man, average features, wearing what appeared to be a badge with a large B on it. "Ugh... what happened..." Jessica said softly, her hand moving to her head, trying to fight through the throbbing pain and heavy fog that seemed to loom over her. "Ya passed out, I dunno where you came from but damn it looks like you haven't eaten in a week." The man said with a smile, before introducing him. "The Name is James Johnson, call me 'Switch'" He said with a quirky grin, helping her out of bed, and to a nearby table where a meal was waiting.

Less than a few weeks later, Jessica was back on her feet, still unable to remember the events that brought her to the area, or anything of value in the past 15 years, just a strange language, some survival skills, and several other skills she had no knowledge of how she came to learn them. The only haunting memeory that seemed to loom was a constant dream, a strange man shourded in the darkness, hitting her, the only physical remnant of her past being the tribal tattoo that trialed down her neck and arm.

After having been adopted into the Mercenary group known as the Bishops, her father being the infamous James 'Switch' Johnson, things seemed to begin to look up for young Jessica, or so she thought, beside the haunting, loose memories of her past, another tragity was well on its way to striking the tribal girl, hard.

----------|PART FIVE: Impossible Odds|----------

Jessica cursed to herself quickly as her legs launched her off the ground, her body moving to a dive to the side, her body rolled as she ended back up on her feet, running quickly, having managed to dodge a deadly swipe from a deathclaw, wondering how this could have happened.

Just 2 weeks ago, the New California Republic declared the Bishops as enemies, and had gathered up the a majority of the mercenaries, including her adopted father, and ruthlessly executed them, right in front of her, after having taken a beating from a small group of Bishops who managed to slide out of view, she had recovered, and had been simply scavaging, now she was facing the wastelands most feriousious beast, and there is no way she could win.

Jessica's legs powered her through the sound, not daring to look back, hearing the angry roars and the heavy foot steps of the quickly apparoaching monster, she heard another roar, closer, and she quickly dived forward, staying low, the large claw moving right above her as she slid on the dirt a few feet, before being knocked into the air from a kick, landing with a large cry of pain as her hand moved to her ribs, 2 fractures from the light kick the monster had delivered. Jessica's hand closed around the pistol that she pulled out of her jacket, raising it up at the approaching deathclaw's head, pulling the trigger as many times as she could, crying out in pain as she felt some of her skin torn open from a claw, before the large animal collasped, 12 shots lodged into its head.

Slurred voices were heard as Jessica slowly regained consciousness, a small cry of pain emitting from her small frame as her stomach and ribs lit up with pain, still unfocused, she heard a bable of noise, followed by the face of a man, smiling down happily at the young girl of 16. "Thank god your alright.." He said softly, before blackness once again dominated the young girl.

The doctor looked at the girl as she became unconscious once more, a man who belonged to the Collective had brought her in, she was bleeding profusely, and had aparently been the victim of a deathclaw attack, in which she came out the only one alive, over the next 3 months, Jessica lived with the man in the tribe known as the Collective, before splitting off, deciding to try living on her own.

----------|PART SIX: The Bull and the Pawn.|----------

Jessica's fists clenched, staring at the figure in front of her, the co leader of the Bishops, Illech, also know as 'Peacekeeper.' Jessica knew he was the reason for the Bishops destruction, for the death of her adopted father, and responsible for the pain she had receieved when beaten by the remaining Bishops whom had escaped the Bear's Claws. But right now? Right now, the man was aiming a gun directly at the 15 year old's face, forcing her to turn around, before binding her using a zip-tie.

"Exactly what do you want with me?" Jessica asked in a low voice, her rage beggining to build, struggling to keep herself calm in this situation. "You'll fine out soon enough, Jess" The man replied calmly, his expression was solem, he didn't want to do this, but he had no other choice, if he was to get his friend out of Legion hands, he had to use this girl as a sacrifice. He sighed, continueing to move, his grip on her arms tightening as they approached the cave, two men, in red football padding, wearing skirts, and a sort of helmet that suggest their rank was low, this was the Ceasar's Legion, norotoious tribals whom had claimed most of the mid-west, and now, were moving west, pointing their power directly at Hoover dam.

"Well well well..." A man, said, stepping out of the cave with an evil grin, he stood at an astonishing 6'7, his dark skin and tattoo's an omninous sign, he wore the Feathers of a Decanii, and he also wore the trohpies, a few trinkets gathered from his fallen enemies were placed on his Legionary armor, he had no remourse in his eyes, no sympathy, nothing but the drive of the bull, his loyalty to Ceasar was unquestionable, and his voice caused even his fellow Legionaries to cower before him. "I see you brought me a present, Peacekeeper." He said bluntly, motioning for a Legionary to bring out the slave, Peacekeepers friend.

Erica 'Faith' Rillo stumbled out, a women in her twenties, her eyes full of the burning passion of defience and a strong will, the man of 6'7, known as Penora, grabbed her roughly, and shoved her foward, at this movement, the girl of 5'11, Jessica, was also shoved forward, Erica had glanced at the young girl sadly for a moment, before meeting eyes with Peacekeeper, and going to embrace him, the two walked away, towards the east, an old settlement waiting for them.

"Get this little girl in slave rags immediatly!" Penora said, immediatly a Legionary came forward, stripping the tribal, her tattoo's now in full view as well as the rest of her body, Penora raised an eyebrow at the tattoo's, but decided to wait before questioning about them, he had more pressing matters, and with this, he took three other Legionaries on a patrol of the massive amount of territory the Legion controlled, Jessica was fitted into slave rags, and forced inside, she met the priestest, who's stomach was wildly inflated, she was breathing heavily, close to giving birth.

"Oh god!" The priestest screamed, suddenly feeling herself go into labor, the inexperienced Legionaries immediatly forgot about the new slave whom was to be collared, and Jessica smiled, before slipping out of the cave, and leaving, due to the inexperience of those left behind to guard the camp, no one was at the gate, and Jessica merely walked away, scott free.

Jessica's bare feet hit the ground, step after step, she was getting weaker now, how long had she been traveling? Two days? The slaves rags blew with the wind, as did her short, dirty hair, she saw a figure in the distance, a women, as she quickly approached, she saw it was Erica, the girl who's freedom was traded for her capture, she hurried, mustering up the last of her stregth to get to the figure.

"What in the world...!?" Erica exclaimed as she saw the young girl approach, there was no denying it, this was the girl who's capture had been traded for her freedom, and judging by the fact that she was still tied, and in slave rags, with no colar, she had escaped, Jessica stumbled in front of Erica, before collasping onto the ground, no more fight left in her, she had traveled well over 20 miles, no food, no water, and she was weak. Erica slowly picked her up, and took her to the settlement she lived.

----------|PART SEVEN: The Bear|----------

Jessica awoke in a blurry haze, her eyes focusing on the makeshift ceiling, the ever familiar sound of NCR training going on just outside, she could barely move, and she was in immense pain. "Ugh..." she mumbled, trying to sit up, before being stopped by Erica, whom had been by her side. "Don't move.. your fine.. just don't move.." Erica said worriedly. 'What happened?' Jessica thought as she was easily placed back into the bed, Erica could obviously read the confusion in the girls face, and began to speak, telling the story of what had happened to her.

"Well.." Erica began, taking a shakey breath. "We've been together for awhile now, you and I, i'm very glad I decided to adopt you, after getting a fair distance away from the Legion I decided to go into the NCR as you already know, you've been living here with me on base for sometime, the other day... well... you were wandering around the destroyed city, and we had some reports that indicated one of the Super Mutants was in that area, he was carrying a fatman, and fired it simply to get our attientien, he didn't notice you there, and the shockwave from the mini-nuke threw you back first against one of the buildings walls, we found you shortly after, you've been out for two weeks."

Jessica's eyes widened, two weeks was a very long time, how was that even possible? It didn't really make sense. She groaned as she got up, she was sore, and tired, but at least she could move. "It's amazing you survived.." Erica began, before hugging her tightly, letting go with a weak, nervous cough. "Well... I have duties to attend to, I'm sure you can handle yourself from here..." She said, before walking out.

Jessica looked around the empty shack, struggling to her feet, she walked out into the camp, giving a small frown, she didn't like the NCR they were to controlling, everything they did was by some magical book that was never actually shown, not to mentien some of the members were total pricks. "Speaking of which..." Jessica muttered as a well hated Private strolled up to her with a sly smile, normally Jessica would wonder what the man was planning, but her mind was in a haze from her injury, she instinctivly caught the bottle that was tossed at her, thats when Private Steel said. "Drink up, it'll help you heal faster."

Jessica didn't think twice, she was thirsty, and quickly drank down the bottle, little did she know it contained a bunch of buffout, which she was highly allergic to, luckily Erica was nearby, and had a syringe of adreniline for just such an occasion, after treating Jessica, it wasn't long before word of the idiotic private trying to posin the daughter of a Verteran Ranger, before the end of the day, the man was dishonorably discharged from the NCR with no chance of re-entry. Life after these events seemed to progress normally, and Jessica's disdain for the NCR only grew, before long, so did Erica's, and along with young man named Jim Carmine, Jessica knew something was going on between the two, but never decided to pry, before long, the three left the NCR, deciding life as mercenaries would be better. How wrong they ended up being.

----------|PART EIGHT: The Bull Takes as He See's Fit..|----------

"Oi! Jess!" Erica called out, in which Jessica's response was to rub her head groggily as she got up, it had been a good 10 weeks since they had left they NCR, and things weren't going well, Mercenary work was hard to come by, as most of the factions nearby dealt with most of the stuff that a mercenary would, so they were living in a small house in the forest, suddenly without warning a large crash at the front door was heard, the old wood being split from its hinges easily as Legionaries had unexpectedadly swormed in, their rifles raised. "Good work men, keep guard." An ever familiar voice called out, and then she saw him, Penora, standing at 6'3 and looking as intimidating as ever.

"Well well well..." He said in a light chuckle, his evil eyes flashing from both Jessica and her older mom. "I recognize you, Faith, but who's this runt you have with you?" He said, his hand gesturing towards the girl, Jessica gave a small sigh of relief, it was obvious he had forgotten about what the escaped slave had looked like, so she was in the clear. A Legionary close to her had been spouting out idiotic, obsence nonsense since he got near her, and the Decanus known as Penora told him multiple times to shut up, finnaly, after being threatened with a cross, the Legionary wisely shut his mouth.

"I kind like this house..." Penora began, before snapping his fingers. "Men, get ready to move in, we're making this a forward outpost, you two, get out of my sight." Both Jessica and Erica had no choice in the matter, after gathering up their things, they were forced to leave the house that they had fixed up for the Legion, and as far as Jessica's knowledge went, the Legion never actually used that outpost, instead they threw their weight around simply to displace two struggling wastelanders.

----------|PART NINE: The Fall, and the Recovery|----------

Jessica struck down the old hoe into the tender soil, uprooting dead plants from the old garden, thinking back into what had happened within the past three months, and it was a lot, that's for sure. Jessica and her mother decided to start a farm and live a bit of a simpler life, but that didn't last long, as The Legion had followed the major migration east closer to the Nevada border to avoid the Enclave's insanity, Penora was with them, and made it a point every single day to make their life a living nightmare, it was truely unfair, and now, Erica and her adopted daughter were forced to work the land they had made and give it to the Legion, almost every scrap, as such, they also decided to pick up mercenary work once more.

Jessica finnaly managed to finish tilling the soil and planting the new seeds, she turns back to look at the house, it was a simple house, nothing big going for it, it had an old jail cell, which worked well for when they had jobs that required the man to be captured alive, and it had a bed, stove, and all other necessities. 'To bad the Legion is always breathing down our necks.." She muttered with a sigh, glancing at the Legion banner waving ominously in the distance. They had been steadily increasing their territory gain, and the NCR wasn't doing shit about it. Jessica clenched her fists in a brief moment of anger. "Of course the Republic can't do shit against them.." She said between clenched teeth, before heading back inside.

----------|PART TEN: Introduction of the Prophet|----------

Fire danced around the town brightly, this was a problem, Jessica pressed her back against the wall heavily as she heard another barrage of bullets slam into the building, nothing but a pistol in her shaking hand, why were the Legion attacking now? Why had they decided they were going to try and completly wipe out the entire area? These questions simply went through her head over and over again, like a broken record, it didn't make sense.

Jessica moved from cover and dashed behind another building, continueing to run at a fast pace, managing to jump the outter gate, whatever she was doing, she was doing it right, she didnt hear the oddly familar sound of bullets colliding into the ground behind her feet, so she hadn't been seen. Jessica continued to run, before dropping down to slide behind a large pile of logs by an old, abondoned building, she was breathing heavily and sweat went down her forehead in large drips, this was complete madness, how was she going to escape the legion a second time?

The sounds of bullets escaping the guns of the heartless legionaries who fired them were only matched by the sounds and echo's of the screams of those who were unfortunate enough to be hit by them. Men, women, children, it didn't matter, the Legion were hellbent on completly irradicating all life in the area, it was the commands they had been given by Ceasar himself.

"I WANT EVERYONE IN THIS PROFLIGATE TOWN DEAD 20 SECONDS AGO!!!" bellowed a familar voice, Penora stood at the back of the large amount of armored soildires who were systematically killing everyone they found, no hiding place was safe, they easily rooted out and killed every person who remained in the town and tried to hide, and as the fire danced in and around the village, the smile on the large black mans face, Decanus Penora, was one of pure delight, he could finnaly do what he was born to, he could finnaly mercilisly destroy all in his path, the town had stood their ground long enough, and for this reason, they had to die. You either bent to Ceasar's Will, or you were crushed by it.

A little more than 2 months later, Jessica was struggling to live, the mercenary company and the farm had been completly wiped out, and all the survivors were forced to move east, into Northern Utah, it was a tough life, but one beacon of hope saved the young girl of 16, and salvation came in a way the tribal would have never expected.

"So.. girl, I hear you are good at scouting." The man said, looking over the various sheets of paper in his neat office, his eyes looked up at Jessica, who was sitting nervously in the chair, unsure of what to say, she had been taken into the Brotherhood base after showing some of the pictures she had drawn of the surronding area, and suddenly she was speaking to the elder of the chapter, whom stood proudly. Sean 'Prophet' Wingside. "Well... I guess.. it's just habit, I collect as much information as I can on locations and groups around where I live.." She said timidly, avoiding eye-contact with the powerful figure.

"Good, that's a wonderful habit, it's probably why your still alive." The black man responded in a kind voice. "Well, then its settled, your to be taken into the Brotherhood of Steel as a scout, in return you will recieve additional training in any area you'd like, you'll also live here, and be fed 3 square meals a day as everyone else here is being fed, so long as supplies permit, does this sound alright?" The man raised an eyebrow as he said this, wondering if she would accept. She did, and she did so happily, which only caused the man to smile.

Of course.. the reason Jessica thought she was taken in wasn't the actual reason, Prophet had been previously contacted by an old friend, Erica Rillo, the girls adopted mother was unable to provide for her child due to travels, and she needed help, this was a favor, and hopefully, not a burden. Prophet signed a paper before sliding it across the desk to the girl, who had been happily smiling and bouncing slightly in her seat as she waited. "Take this up to the Scribe labs, top floor, to the left, you can't miss it." Jessica took the paper and got up, thanking the kind man before heading up to the scribe lab to begin her new life.

----------|PART ELEVEN: Inner Workings of the Steel|----------

"Annnd... done." The brown haired girl said, wiping a small bit of sweat from her forehead as she looked at her latest creation proudly, on a small stand in front of the young girl of 24 was what appeared to be a 9mm pistol, slightly bigger, however it was much more. The girl picked up the pistol and twisted the bottom, the slits lighting up with a blueish energy, she then whirled it around and fired off a shot of laser towards the wall, satisfied with getting a working, smaller version of the laser pistol to actually work, of course the punch was a bit weaker than a typical laser pistol, but with luck the girl she created it for wouldn't overuse it..

"The girl picked up the handheld radio that sat nearby, and she brought it up to her mouth, pushing down on a button before speaking into it. "Hey Jess, I got a surprise for you, something to make up for that whole door incident." she'd say with a small chuckle, she was of course referring to when the Head Knight, Julian Price to be specific, had accidentally blown Jessica's room's door clean off its hinges, her uncle, Prophet was not happy with that, but everyone including Jessica had a pretty good laugh about it.

Jessica came up into the scribe lab a few minutes later, smiling at the young head scribe. "Well, what's the surprise?" she said with a bit of anxciousness in her voice. "Me and Alexi still have stuff to do." Chloe looked at Jessica with a small smile, before presenting her with the pistol, which fit perfectly into her underarm holster that she tended to carry around, after a brief conversation between the two girls, Jessica was out the door, giving a wave of thanks before heading down, almost bumping into another girl, tribal, like Jessica herself.

"Oi.." Samantha began softly, eyeing Jessica with a bit of impatience. "Careful where your always going, alright?" She'd say sternly, only as a warning, she liked Jessica, but her immature and speratic attitude sometimes disrupted the flow of the base, which wasn't nessisarily a problem considering the slow time, but it was still a good idea to get her out of the habit if they were to go to war. "Sorry bout that Sammy.." Jessica said with a nervous chuckle, before heading out the door again, towards an individual whom she had loved like a sister, Alexi."

"Heeeey!" Jessica said with a wave as she jogged up towards the power-armored figure, who would turn at the sound of the girls voice, smiling as she approached. "Hey Jess." Alexi said evenly. "What did Chloe want?" Jessica would finish running up towards the tall girl of 6'0 before speaking, rotating her shoulder passivly as she did. "She set me up with my own laser pistol, modified it so it can fit in my underarm holster." The young asian said with a childish smile.

These past few months had been some of the best of Jessica's life, not only had her mother, Erica, resurfaced, but her life as a Brotherhood scout was some of the most fulfilling work she had ever done, she had figured out her real age, which was roughly between 17 and 18, and she had managed to gain a standing relashinship and general respect out of just about every member in the Brotherhood, save for Silias, the old man was usually hostile to just about anybody, and when the war with the Enclave had finnaly broken out, it wasn't surprising that his arogance and independant attitude had ended up confining the man to a wheelchair, a shell of his former self.

With the arrival of Silias and a Sentinal Hero, things got more complicated within the now struggling chapter, not only had Jim Carmine joined as a member as well, but he had effectivly split off, deciding to create an outcast faction, which brought in a Brotherhood General from Lost Hills, Odin. This man was not to be trifled with, in the short time he spent at the chapter, he had managed to orgainze the small chapter, more or less quell the outcast faction, which had simply re-absorbed back into the Brotherhood after negotiation, but the General had also lead several sucsessful assaults against the Enclave, this brief victory however, was not to last.

More drama had begun to erupt within the small chapter, and Prophet had to be shipped off for surgery, leaving a gap between Sentinel Hero, and the rest of the military faction, that is until, another elder came in Prophet's place, the man's actions had more or less insured the destruction of the chapter, not only having severly wounded several key members within the Brotherhood, his actions had left the chatper open for a main assault, of which the Enclave was easily able to come in, exploit, and destroy the chapter, leaving nothing but remnants.

Jessica groaned softly Samantha, Julian, Chloe, Alexi, herself, and a small amount of others managed to escape the destruction of the chapter, Prophet was no where to be found, however he was not confirmed dead, and from there, the small group of Remnants moved to make a small life for themselves in a new area, safe from the Enclave's wraith.

----------|PART TWELVE: Goodbye's|----------

Jessica looked back defiantly at the man, her mother staring wide eyed, frozen in fear, right now the young girl was being held up against the wall by Penora, whom had managed to resurface somehow upon the move from Prophets chapter, her eyes burned into his as he tried to get her to submit, using his large hands to tighten his hold, his own eyes trying to over-power the young girls. He wasn't used to this kind of resistance, he was a Deacnus of Kaisar, to have someone, a girl nonetheless. Luckily for the young girl, the patrol had to move on, he lifted her and threw her in front of her mother.

"Keep the girl under control, and teach her to listen to those obviously stronger than her." He said quietly before leaving with his patrol silently. After the group had left, Jessica got up slowly, working on getting the crease out of her jacket, which is what he was using to hold her by. Her mother looked at her with worried eyes. "Jess..." She began, sighing briefly.  "You can't just do what you just did, your lucky Penora respects those who stand up to him, you'd be dead if he didn't." Jessica merely nodded, sighing.

Over the next six months, Jessica lived on and off with her mother, whom was becoming more distant, it turned out that she had a large journey planned, and she didn't plan on bringing Jessica with her. She had also been attacked by a tribal individual who had aparently been hired to hunt down the three Night sisters by the father, his attempt was unsucsessful, and upon being unable to complete his job, he quickly disappeared under ground, a curious side effect of this being that Jessica now had a small amount of information about her tribe, and the life she had before the accident.

"Hey Jess.." Erica said in a quiet and sad tone, looking towards the girl with solem eyes. "What is it mom?" Jessica said in her usual tone of curiosity, tilting her head slightly, which only made this that much harder for the girl. "Listen Jess... I'm leaving, and I'm not entirely sure when I'll actually be back, I'm going on a long journey, and I can't take you with me.." Erica was afraid, she knew for a fact that Jessica had issues with being abondoned, likely having something to do with before whatever accident took away the young girls memory, Erica had been putting off the journey for that reason, but it was time to move on.

"Okay..." Jessica said quietly, looking up at the most influential figure she ever had for the last four years of her life. "Just come back safe, and don't die, otherwise I'll kill you." She said with a smile, her eyes a bit watery, Erica merely gave a soft smile in return and turned to the door, beggining to walk off, before she disappeared into the misty fog that surronded the forested area of the house, Jessica called out to her one last time before throwing a necklace her way, on it contained a deathclaw took, the took of the first deathclaw that Jessica had ever faced, with that she gave a wave, merely standing on the porch long after the siloyet of her mother had disappeared.

11th - 13th Page: Medical Information, Basic First Aid
First aid is the process of providing medical assistance to someone until full treatment is avaliable. I do not expect every single NCR to learn how to perform brain surgery, but I expect you all know the basics.

If you're reading this then it's because you're in the NCR. All NCR soldiers will begin mandatory basic first aid skills that will be of use in the battlefield. In most case scenarios, these will be gunshot wounds.

Basic First Aid

This will be used upon most situations where someone has fallen injured. It's up to your decision on which steps to complete, but keep in mind you should stick to this. Performing this first aid will keep the person alive until advanced medical assistance may be present.

Bullet Wounds

Materials Required
- Cloth   (Any type of cloth will do. This is to prevent blood loss by applying pressure upon the wound.)
- Water   (Wash the wound.)
- Disinfectant   (Alcohol is your most likely use of choice, however keep in mind bleach watered down with water provides a much better result.)
- Tweezers   (Used to remove the bullet and any fragmentation that may occur.)
- Needle and thread   (Used to keep the wound shut. Substitutes such as gun powder and burning it upon the wound proves effective but may leave horrible scars.)
- Bandages   (To prevent any further injury or discomfort to the victim and provide a layer of 'protection' to the wound.)

Step One: Identify where the victim is injured. Move them out of harms way by either pulling them away from the war zone or behind cover. Begin by pressing the cloth against the wound and apply pressure. This will help stop the loss of blood.

Step Two: Continue applying pressure to the wound until the blood flow has stopped. Begin by cleaning the wound with water, then using a disinfectant, spread it around the wound. This will cause discomfort or immense stinging, depending upon the wound. This prevents any bacteria or dirt from getting into the wound and causing complications at later events.

Step Three: Once the wound has been cleaned and disinfected, commence removal of the bullet. Gently ease the wound apart and observe whether the bullet is intact or has broken upon impact. Using the tweezers, pluck the bullet free. If in fragmentation, pull each individual piece from the wound without causing further harm.

Step Four: Double check the wound is clear of any metal injuries or the like, then commence stitching. Begin by poking the needle through one side of the wound, then make your way to the other side by a criss-cross method.

Step Five: Unravel the bandage and place it tightly around the wound, but not too tightly. Make sure the victim is comfortable with the bandage and keep pressure off the wound.

Note: If the injury is from either laser or plasma, skip step three.

Broken Legs

Materials Needed
- Splint   (Any form of object that is straight, preferrably something tough and durable such as metal or wood.)
- Bandage   (Help keep the splint in place with allignment of the broken leg, as well as protecting from further harm.)
- Thread, rope or duct tape   (To keep the splint in place.)

Step One: Begin by observing the injury. If it seems minor and the bone hasn't ripped through the leg, you're doing good. If not, DO NOT push the bone back into the leg.

Step Two: Place the splint at the back side of the leg while making the leg straight. Keep the splint tightly against the leg while you proceed to couple the two together. If the bone is emerged from the leg, do not apply any pressure to it. Work around it.

Step Three: Make sure the splint is tight and will prevent the victim from bending his leg, then proceed to wrap it in the bandage. Like step two, give consideration to any bones sticking from the leg.

Broken Arms

Materials Needed
- Splint   (Any form of object that is straight, preferrably something tough and durable such as metal or wood.)
- Bandage   (Help keep the splint in place with allignment of the broken arm, as well as protecting from further harm.)
- Thread, rope or duct tape   (To keep the splint in place.)

Step One: Begin by observing the injury. If it seems minor and the bone hasn't ripped through the elbow or wrist, you're doing good. If not, DO NOT push the bone back into the arm.

Step Two: Place the splint at the back of the elbow while keeping the arm straight. Keep the splint tightly against the arm while you proceed to couple the two together. If the bone is emerged from the arm, do not apply any pressure to it. Work around it.

Step Three: Make sure the splint is tight and will prevent the victim from bending his arm, then proceed to wrap it in the bandage. Like step two, give consideration to any bones sticking from the leg.

Note: If the injury is a broken wrist, place the splint under the victims hand and towards their palm. This will prevent them from bending their wrist forward. Apply bandage tightly.

Object Embedded

Materials Required
- Water   (Clean the wound.)
- Bandage   (Protect the wound from further harm.)
- Cloth   (If bleeding heavily.)

Step One: If the object is still embedded into the flesh such as a knife or such, LEAVE IT IN. Removing the object until in a safer condition to do so may worsen the victim by ripping blood vessels on the way out. If the object isn't embedded into the flesh, you're in a better position.

Step Two: If bleeding heavily, apply pressure if possible. Upon the blood flow slowing, clean the wound up if necessary with water.

Step Three: Begin placing the bandage around the wound. If the object is still located in the flesh, make sure to go around the object but keep the gap to a small limit. Make the bandage generally tight, but comfortable. Then proceed to remove the object under better stablised conditions.

Head Injuries

Materials Required
- Water   (Clean the wound.)
- Bandage   (Protect the wound from further harm.)
- Cloth   (To prevent blood-loss.)
- Disinfectant   (Alcohol is your most likely use of choice, however keep in mind bleach watered down with water provides a much better result.)

Step One: Observe what kind of injury has been inflicted. If they've been shot in the head, proceed to apply pressure immediately. If nothing major, proceed onto step two - otherwise if bleeding has occured apply pressure.

Step Two: Upon the blood flow stopping, clean the wound up if necessary with water. Disinfecting the wound is a must, especially if it's a deep wound.

Step Three: Begin placing the bandage around the wound. Tend to wrap the bandage around their head but tight enough to keep pressure upon the wound. This will prevent further infection and the like. DO NOT attempt to remove the bullet if they have been shot. You'll cause serious brain damage and likely kill them. They will be required to be transported to a professional surgeon.

21st - N/A Page: Journal

Entry one
So.. I decided to start a journal, just cause, I don't really know why, this is the first entry were in.. Northern Utah, things are quite diffrent ehre from Nevada, there is this bunch of people called the Salt Lake Slavers, plus the Enclave, Brotherhood, NCR, and those small mercenary or thug groups you get everywhere, the other day I was approached by a group of three thugs, they woulda scared me but they all were not armed and so I just pulled out my laser pistol, that shut em' up real quick, then I met the leader, who used to belong to the Collectives, a group I was involved with when I was littler. Right now I'm just kinda wandering, following mom, Sam, Alexi, or Chloe around, I don't have a whole lot to do, maybe I'll offer my services as a hired gun or somethin, I'm pretty sneaky and I really need caps,

Water is low, only got two bottles worth of pure, gotta make it last, I dumped both in my water bottle, the metal one, as for food, I got a bunch of ant meat over at camp, so food is alright, I think I got 4 pounds of it to, pretty fun day that was. I guess I'll write entries when I think of them, I don't wanna be tied to writing every single god damn day, anyway, here's to another day in the wasteland.... yup, kinda sucks.

The reason I left the Brotherhood was cause pretty much everyone I knew left, and then Prophet left to get brain surgery, and all kinds of shit hit the fan, some crazy old Elder decided to shoot Julian, and Sam, in the stomach, when she was pregnant, good job, moron. I hope Prophet gets better soon, I think Odin was thinking of leaving but he said there were some loose ends he had to tie up, so I guess he'll be staying there for awhile.

Entry Two

Well, I finnaly got ahold of some food, not to mentien I finished making Jim his present, only to find him all over Alexi... Now I feel like crap, I should known better than to try and get into a serious relashinship with him, he says I'm just not datable, maybe he's right, I do sometimes come off as intimidating... I recently broke a rib in fight club cause some moron decided that he was going to inject himself with pshyco or some shit before the match, I dislocated his SHOULDER and he STILL kept going, that ain't right! Anyway, I gotta rebandage myself again, I'll update this more often.

Entry Three
So... I moved, AGAIN, gotta work on redrawing mapped out areas, hopefully this is where we will be stationary for awhile, recently I got a katana, it's locked away somewhere safe until I know how to use it right, I'm running low on ammo for my laser pistol, and rumor has it that there is a new Brotherhood chapter in town, so it's obvious they'd try to take the pistol if they ever saw it on me, good thing I usually conceal my weapons. In other news, I found VAL! That one girl who gave me a leather jacket and then killed herself 2 hours later, I have no idea how she's still alive but I'm gonna help her with her prosthetics, as she said they hurt when she walks on them.

Entry Four

Well, depression looms every once in awhile, even to a carefree person like me, recently whenever I try to be there for others they just tell me to fuck off, well I'm sick of just being shurgged off, seriously, I spend most of my days alone and the small amount of time I want to spend with mom, or Jim, or anybody, I can't because I'm brushed aside, I'm honestly sick of it. What the hell am I supposed to do about that?

Oh yea, Legion seem to be back, I was running a job with someone named Nero, guess the guy is an Ex-Legionary, whatever, anyway, we heard Legion war drums in the distance, a short time later I guess the town was attacked by the Legion, luckily the attack was repelled by the Desert Rangers, they lost a bit of respect in my book though when one punched a ghoul in the face after getting drunk, and after I tried giving them the canteens to say thanks, the ones I MADE and ENGRAVED for them, they tossed them aside like trash, seriously, what the hell.

Um... Personal Reminders time, running low on caps, food, doing pretty good with water, um... oh yea! Try finding some elctron charge packs, I'm not part of the Brotherhood anymore so its not like I get those for free, I think I have around 40 more shots left in my laser pistol, the one with the modified case, glad its modified to, the Brotherhood has been confiscating laser weaponry lately, whatever, they'd have to look at my pistol pretty closely to realize its laser. Guess this is a pretty big entry, but whatever, I still got plenty of pages.

Oh yea! Double reminder, get drawings of the faction areas along with town, otherwise I'm gonna keep running around this area blind.

 Entry Five
Well, a lot has changed recently, traders seem to be activly trading their goods again, and despite the increase in muggings in the area, I think everything is pretty calm, raiders haven't really showed there face, and luckily, despite recent rumors, I've yet to see a single Legionary, thats very, VERY good for me, the last thing I need is another mental breakdown because a bunch of Legionaries pop out of no where and give me a bunch of trouble, hell, I'd help sell supplies to them, but according to them girls are just idiots who can't do anything.

Supplies seem to be going pretty good, I'm running low on those mini gass containers though, I keep the empty ones, maybe I can find a way to transfer gas from a big one to the small ones that fit into my little camping stove, I pretty much fixed the thing to, it works like a charm, the only thing I have to worry about now is if the stupid ass Brotherhood comes around and tries to take it, not like I can do much though, they're all in power armor so a knife won't work, and I don't feel like wasting bullets on them.

Oh Yea! Running low on water, need to get some more, also running extremly low on Laser Pistol ammo, need to get ahold of some more, this is ridiculous, I'm down to around MAYBE 20 shots now.

Entry Six:

WOooow! Haven't updated my journal in a REALLY long time, oh wells, can't really do much about the past now can I? ANyway, to catch myself up, I've recently come back from a long trip away from all the crap and now I'm back, I'm pretty sure my stab wound is fully healed, not to mention I have plenty of supplies to last me a good 2 weeks, things are beginning to look up.

The only problem is I'm running low on caps, so I need a job or something, otherwise I'll have to go back to begging really fast, I have around 500 caps left, maybe a little less, but after supplies runs low I'll have even less, not to mention any stuff I have to buy if the unexpected happens, muggings, torn clothes, whatever the case may be, looks like its time to go job hunting!

 Entry Seven:
Well.. it's been awhile, but might as well update this old journal, over the course of a month, my best friend Samantha died, and I was put in charge of her child, a pretty little girl named Summer, dispite the fact that I sometimes only look a couple years older than her, she listens to me, she aspires to be just like her mom, I've been working on teaching her how to fight, and how to use pistols, I figure if she's gonna be anything like her mom she better have the skills to get there.

I've been running the Diner with Summer recently, and I've come into contact with the Legion, after saving one of their cneturions, they seem to tolerate my precece in the house thats on 'their' land, and thats fine by me, I give them a few things here and there to make sure they dont like, kill me or anything.

Just yesterday, the town decided to go against their agreement with the Legion and accept Legion help, Legion responded by burning the town to the ground, currently all the Diner's supplies are back at our place. There also seems to be a group of deformed, retarded raiders, two groups actually, the Spucklers, and the Rocks, the Rocks being the ones I've seen move around and kill almost everyone who comes into their path, I might make a stop by the Legion and get them to simply wipe the bastards out.

The Spucklers look pretty weird, and they are pretty rude, but they did give me the information regarding the Rocks, so they can't be all that bad, so long as they don't try anything to me or Summer, I'm fine, but those Rocks are to much of a danger to Summer and I, they have to go, soon.

       Entry Eight
Some strange smoke in the sky, not sure what it is but it isn't going away, I've decided to start wearing the gas-mask that was made for me back in the Brotherhood, better safe than sorry, I also gotta find some headwraps or something for Summer, I don't like the look of all this smoke and the fact that it isn't going away disturbs me, I'll have to do some research on this smoke, not sure where but I have a few books at home, maybe the NCR will have some books.

     Entry Nine
Turns out that strange smoke? Some kind of ash, basically screwed the entire area over, forcing everybody up north, now there is snow everywhere, fucking snow! It's amazing, now I'm involved with a tribe, not sure they'll just let me leave, but I'm aloud outside the camp, I just don't want to know what would happen if I were to desert them, so I've just decided to stick around and wait until they do something really stupid to get everyone wiped out, that's usually what happens when I join a group, they do something stupid, then the faction gets wiped out.

    Entry Ten
Wow... A lot has happened, where to begin? I guess I'll start with the fact that I saw snow! Real snow! It was amazing, shortly after I moved to another area, and now I'm heading for a very large journey, I'm not sure what's going to happen but I left just about all of my trading supplies behind, including my caps, they're only a tie to that place that I shouldn't have to hold onto, the only things I'm keeping are of course my Holotags, My Laser Pistol, and My Knife, in terms of sentimental objects anyway.

72nd Page: Trading Supplies.

I'm trying my hand at trading now! Figure I might as well put my creative ability to work, here is a list of the current Items I have available for sale.

I'm either moving to Japan, or Norway, both are awesome countries.

The only thing I disagree with is the "Age Requirement" I started roleplaying HL2RP when Kuro first made his script, I was 15 at the time, and was considered a very competent roleplayer.

Listen, I've scripted about 3 times for ZombieRP servers, and from my experience, although the idea is really fun, it never lasts very long before interest is lost and it dies, the shortest life of a zombieRP server I've seen was a week, the longest I've seen was Xhosters, and they were up and down, 1 month they'd have around 15 players, the next they'd have none, its really hard to pull off,  you'd need a team of VERY dedicated Administrators who do events constantly, and not just common zombie attack events either, you'd probably need a good writer or event manager to work on events for the server as well, that's really the only way to keep any kind of stable population for a ZombieRP server.

My question really is why was the Blue cargo container added to the blacklisted props list, I use those to create my boat.
Huge block ships lag and they also look horrible. Also that prop is too easy to abuse and spam.

Ah, okay, well I made mine look awesome and many liked the look of mine but I understand, not many can actually competently make one out of those props that look remotely nice.

Guides / Re: A Guide to Combat Roleplay.
« on: June 19, 2012, 02:00:06 PM »
(This man has obviously gotten authorizations to be skilled in CQC (Close Quarters Combat), and as such, his combat is very skilled, now let's watch the DvL respond in an incorrect fashion)

DvL is hit in the stomach, not lurching forward, catching the mans fist as it attempts to slam into the his head, tighting his grip on the mans fist with his robotic hand.

(Yea, no, this is not only a little Overpowered, but I've actually seen someone do this on the server before, now here's a proper response.)

DvL is hit in his stomach, lurching forward, however he catches the motion of the punch out of the corner of his eyes, and brings his arm up for a block, before attempting to lunge forward in an attempt to pin the man to the ground.

(Now THIS is good, not only did he take the first hit, he responding correctly with the second, and did a move in which it'd be impossible for the citizen even if he's auth'd in combat, to actually avoid or block.)
If it's good then why is it in red? c:

Also you have to remember, even if you're skilled in CQC, you're still a citizen. You're not fed properly and are weak. The DvL (Heck an EpU) would have sharp reactions, coupled with their augmented speed, would probably grab your leg, push you back and then fling you into a lamp post. No, this is not overexaggerating a single citizen facing off against a DvL is suicide, surprise or not. Even the advantage of two citizens wouldn't cut it, it would just take them a little longer to subdue you both.

However I believe the actual power of augments through the ranks currently is nebulous, I believe SatN or Raiden or someone needs to make an actual thread outlining the details of how strong the augments are for each rank, and where they are located. Because right now, the mentality is that as soon as you hit OfC you cannot be defeated in CQC against a citizen, and literally just overkill your opponent.

If Augments are really that powerful, then that is complete and total bullshit, I'm sorry, increased reaction time or not, they shouldn't be able to just toss you into a fucking lamp post. Seriously, how is that fair at all, I don't care if its not supposed to be fair, citizens should at least have a chance to I dunno, stun a lone Civil Protection Unit. I mean, there is a reason why all CP Units travel in at minimum, pairs, its so that they don't get caught alone with a hostile, if they have this rule in place I'd say the augments are nearly as super powerful as you claim. Yes however, your right, they need to create a thread about what ranks have what augments generally.

There is a point in HL2 where someone says they dream about cheese, I don't see how thats shaken or scared, but if your basing it off of how you roleplay, then please put that in the guide

Eh, I disagree with what you say in the citizen faction, there is a point in which a human will, instead of experiencing fear, will completly shut down to emotion, its a defencse mechanism in the brain, also when you say this:

The Citizen is scared every second, every minute, and ever hour

If this were true about every citizen or even a handful the stress created from such strong of an emotion being experienced 24/7 would likely drive somebody completely insane or cause serious health and mental problems, while its true a Citizen should FearRP properly, it shouldn't be roleplayed to the point where your scared about sitting down on a chair, which is what this seems to insinuate.

There are also quite a few other errors in the guide, several fallacy's such as the OTA's and CCA themselves, I'd suggest re-writting some portions of this guide to make it less dramatic and more realistic.

Part 2 has been added, this covers basic grabs and counters, as well as the diffrence between Normal Citizens, Citizens auth'd in combat (By application only of course) and DvLs as well as any other augmented CCA units.
