I can confirm this, I also had a similar problem with police ammo, I don't know if the police ammo has been patched or not yet but it happened a week or so ago :P

I haven't had it happen myself, but I've had a civilian come into my shop and try to trade me police ammo for a book. Wasn't sure what to think.
