1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.My character, Jimmy, wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority because he has always seen the incredible control the Combine have over earthlings. He has always respected the authority of the Combine. He knows the humans can never win, why not put an end to this useless violence when it is obvious that the Combine are the more powerful of the two forces. When he sees a citizen being punished for disrespect towards the Overwatch, he smiles a bit because of the incredible authority of the Combine.
He is very intrigued by the Combine's technology. He knows and always will respect the intelligence of the Combine. He knows that the humans would never be able to match the incredible technological advantages of the Combine. A prime example are the Manhacks. Jimmy knows that humans could never think of something so deadly and efficient. He sees the big advantage the Combine have over humans and that is fast and efficient transport. Combine attack helicopters are nearly invulnerable.
My character was led towards the path of the Combine when he saw a man being punished by the Combine. He feels that with the Combine's power and technology, he could keep the ignorant citizens in line. It is obvious to him that the Combine's way is the correct way, better for Earth, better for humanity. The incredible control the Combine have over ignorant citizens has intrigued Jimmy greatly.
2) Please detail your characters traits. (Eg, Pure, Lawful, Trustworthy)Very trustworthy, loyal, slightly paranoid, and a little nervous.
3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.The Combine Civil Authority experience will be very beneficial for me because it will help me learn how to be a better role-player. I have learned a lot from CG's HL2Rp server, so much intact that I have even taught a bit to newer players. The CCA will be a great learning opportunity. I would love to learn from other Combine, for many of them have a lot of experience.
The Combine Civil Authority will be very beneficial for my character because he gets to learn about Combine technology, which he is very interested in. He will also learn many crowd-control and citizen handling techniques. He will get a taste of power for once. He will learn discipline and earn a greater respect for his superiors. He will get a taste of being on top. Helping a cause he believes in. I believe he will prosper in the CCA.
4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.Jimmy Cruz was born on January 11, 1995. He was born in a small town in Tennessee. He was born into an average middle-class family.
In 1998, his younger brother was born. They got along well and didn't have many problems with each other.
When Jimmy was 5 years old, he began school. He made a few friends and wasn't very outgoing.
He had a fairly average childhood. He enjoyed video games, music and movies, just as most every other kid.
Although, when he was 15, he began seeing odd "electric clouds." The news channels called them "Portal Storms" and they were warned to stay indoors, but Jimmy didn't care, he was more interested than worried. The Portal Storms never effected his town directly, but his family was very, very worried. His parents forbade him to leave the house, and when videos were being shown on television of the strange creatures arriving from the storms, the Cruz family was terrified, but Jimmy wanted to know more.
When the military began moving people into secured cities, Jimmy went without a word. But whenever he got the chance, he would stand on the tallest building in City 11 and look out over the land. He imagined meeting the creatures and studying them. He paid no attention to the Combine takeover or anything but the land outside the cities. He was so interested in what lays ahead, he didn't even notice when he could no longer find his family. He didn't care anymore.
And again, when they were moved to City 45 in 2016, Jimmy went without a word.
On arrival, Jimmy did not like this new city. He soon found out that he could not make it to the rooftops of any of the buildings. So, he began focusing on other things. He noticed the rise of the Combine Overwatch. He noticed their superior technology and power. He instantly wanted to be a part of it and learn what how they did what they did. He began performing tasks for the combine to prove his loyalty. He knew that the chores weren't going to help anyone in the long run, but he knew that he needed their trust, that he was loyal.

What�s your most memorable quality RP experience?Jimmy was carrying out a chore for the Combine Overwatch as he was used to doing, when all of the sudden, a shimmering figure came walking through the square. It had the shape of a vortiguant. The vortigaunt came in and interacted with the combine.
This was a great experience for me and my character because my character had always been longing for at least a glimpse of the creatures he had been longing to see since the beginning of the Portal Storms.
