Not every RP that is based on a game is canon, it's usually different between the actual game and the RP.

You don't seem to realise that they broke minor rules, and would only get a warning, which you make a BR about repeatedly, and it's not enough to ban them, you need to know what the difference is between minor and major situations problems.

The problem with OCRP is that the gamemode itself, is designed to be between lite and serious, which is why administrating is difficult.
Mind you, Venatio is not the only person who expressed their thoughts on OCRP, as I've already had people complaining me on steam that the administration is bad and the server is mingey compared to OC.

But then again, that is an opinion from a few that have told me.

Quite a few admins on CG seem to have not noticed how hard it was to administrate in OCRP when OC hosted it, and thought they can out do the administration easily, which I constantly point out to people, administrating in the OCRP gamemode, is difficult.

My only advise to this situation is to be nice to new players, and give harsher bans to repeated offenders, but then people will question; Who should be given more lenient punishments?

Players should also realise that the Ban Request section exists for a reason.

The best gun debate really does not work, because each gun serves a different purpose.

The most progressive man (in theory) would have to be Leonardo Da Vinci, he's well ahead of his time, and worked on so many theories, and invention blue prints it's unbelievable, the only problem is that his theories were not put to the test, as people back then would not understand how his theories would work, and Italy was not a rich country, therefore his work was not put to the test.

In my opinion, christianity has been trampled on by so many religious leaders, they made up the rules telling people what to do and what not to do.
Which is effectively breaking the ten commandments of "Do not idol anyone else but god", which is why religion is no good to us anymore.

Back then, when things cannot be explained like plagues, disasters, etc, everyone saw it as god being angry, but religion was effective when it comes to law, but not for modern times.

Religion causes arguments and conflicts more than ever. You now have extremists being taught the wrong things. I.e. forcing women to wear burkas, and not allowing them to have freedom for themselves.

There is a fine line between 'Believing in your religion' and 'forcing it' upon people, many people in many religious groups seem to force that on other people, and not respecting their boundaries, that is the main problem for everyone.

This is a serious debate, he asked what subject to pick, if you have nothing important to say, then don't.
All posts above will be removed, as it's a debate, therefore, rickroller is asking for people who can actually make a topic and debate over the main issues.

General Discussion / Re: Royal Wedding
« on: April 30, 2011, 07:57:20 AM »
Ok, let me clear this up.

First of all, the reason why the royal family is a big deal, is because the world was influenced by Britain in some way or another.

For example, English is seen as an "international" language.

The royal family plays a part, making state visits, being head of countries.

Obviously those who go "Hurr durr they dont hav power anymoar", or "We r not from britun we shud not care!!11!1!!" are uneducated and completely retarded. (Not going to point fingers at anyone here).

The royal family are also the main thing why the UK is a good place to go to for a holiday, the royal family got us quite a lot of money, which the wedding further brings in more money for the country, despite it was done through tax, it makes our country a hot spot for tourism at that day.

Many people underestimate on how powerful the royal family is, they have their say in politics, the army swears to oath to defend the interests for the Queen / king.

Sure, you don't have to care about the royal family, but when people say that they're unimportant, then they really need to educate themselves before they actually decide.

Anyways, I watched the royal wedding (Not all of it, obviously), both on TV then on YouTube, it was good, the day was indeed important for us, I wish them well and hope they will serve well for the country and the commonwealth.

I don't see why it's been added in the first place.

Half-Life 2 Roleplay / Re: How to RP in a gun fight.
« on: April 12, 2011, 11:49:14 AM »
I've been to plenty of RP servers that uses the "hit and miss" RP rules, and people (especially owners / super admins abusing this) places their description as being a marksman and being a martial arts expert.

The video is going way too far in the hit-miss system.

Each class (civilian, rebel, CCA, Combine trans-human, etc) should have different levels of accuracy which having an accuracy system makes it fairer and unbiased (inb4 no extra scripts guise), having an accuracy system in a gunfight would be like rolling a dice in an RP situation.

Honestly, simply leaving and doing the "I am sick of this shit" line, does not describe on what caused you to leave, obviously you want to keep the reason of leaving yourself, but even then, you declared that you're leaving but not giving out the reason, which is just seen as attention whoring.

Anyways, we can't help you or improve if you just simply leave. Feedback is helpful, you know.
