Sectus: So for vorts, when they put /v before a message
Sectus: It comes out as random vort gibberish to others
Sectus: but to vorts, it appears english
Basically,
/v Hello, my kin!
To you and other Vorts, this appears as "-Vortname- fluxes "Hello, my kin!"
To others, and non-vorts, it appears "-Vortname- fluxes "Cha'ar, set ma'h thul!"
The vort language would change, and could be a different result each time, or if you really wanted you could set up an actual alphabet and such.

I agree. Although I don't know if anyone wants to put that much work into it, it would be appreciated.

Just make it a random-selector, choosing one of eight 4-6 word twenty character statements. so even if the vort puts in 1 Char, its 20 chars, and if the vort puts in 60 chars its twenty chars whatever.

This would make it easier when talking to several different Vorts. It is for convenience sake.

Can I ask why you need a swep? Just RP it, if people ignore it then call an admin in.

Well, there isn't really a reason not to give them a SWEP. After all, Vortigaunt characters are some of the most trusted and elite roleplayers on the server.

There's a few shit ones on gmod.org, I'll take a look. Most have the primary as an attack and secondary as a healing ability.

I'll look into it. Probably will be a special whitelisted weapon, would require you to be added via steamid to the list. If you were to abuse it, your vort itself would be lost.
But gunna look into it

Man who needs a wep that hurts anyways. If anything just a like an item/swep that just emits a green light from your hand or something. I feel like that would be enough for us vortigaunts to roleplay with. We don't need to pew pew. Also love the idea about vort chat that sounds like it could go somewhere =D.

Which is partly the reason I don't see the need for one - while the Vorts ARE good roleplayers and I know being 100% serious all the time is hard, I see vorts mess around way too often, a swep that does no damage would be fine IMO...

I don't really care about damage values and shit, I just would like to have an anim, and sparkles and shit for effects. It helps with immersion and such.

Well, with the lack of a SWEP I just use my tool gun to make a soda can invisible then I put a green laser trail on it and pretend it's Vortessence. The SWEP isn't needed but it would be a nice touch.

An interesting concept to develop would be that of a SWEP that does not kill the target, rather it makes them turn into a ragdoll for a certain amount of time.
This concept would also support the theory that their power isn't directly lethal, but can still do some harm.

Both the vortigaunt chat and the SWEP are planned to be implemented.
