The Outlands' Inn (Downtime Roleplay Thread)

[The Doctor, RIP Juggernaut]

As the APC moves towards the village, Matt moves towards the village from the water fall, slowly he pulls his rifle from his shoulder, he stops and closes his eyes. Preparing himself for battle. Then he starts moving closer and closer to the inn, looking for cover and a snipers perch as he does so, and keeping a keen eye out for any hostile snipers in the area.

Beans hops down from the bar stool, grabbing his Mossberg from the bar. As the roar of the APC's engine draws within earshot, he looks around the room, waiting for anyone else's input.

[Dallas]

**Edwin lifts his head in response to the sudden growling noise, turning towards the windows.**

"What is that... That sounds bad, very very... extremely uh... not good.

**He back-peddles towards the relative safety of the bar, besides Beans.

[Frolie [Jellykid]]

** Layla tugs open her back-pack, grabbing her 9 Millimeter Pistol and Monocular out of a brown paper bag inside. She pushes the bag under a nearby table with her foot, pulling the slide on her pistol back simultaneously. She shoots a hateful glance towards Beans, but grudgingly barks out her perspective. **

"Beans, get behind the door. Bow-Tie, go upstairs."

** She looks around the interior of the inn before taking cover underneath the bar-counter **

[Dallas]

**Edwin hears the command, he begins to move towards the stairs.**

"Yes... I uh.. Well, be careful, yes?

**Edwin retreats to the balcony of the lobby, staring at the door before backing up to the wall.**

The APC continues to roar around the town, making a lot of noise.
As Ori hears the APC roaring, he mumbles something to himself, sounds like he is saying "Za'in".
He runs behind the wall, below the window.

The vortigaunt's head shoots up slightly as the APC is heard off in the distance, his head turns in the general direction of the sound. He lowers his arms, turning his body fully while he hunches his body down slightly. He side-pedals towards a suitable position by the bar, before crouching down behind it, pressumbly next to Layla. His claws clench and unclench, but they don't seem to be glowing with any sort of energy.. yet.

[Frolie [Jellykid]]

** Layla glances at the Vortigaunt, shaking her head dismissively before glaring back at the door. She speaks in her same cold, frighteningly expressionless voice toward the Vortigaunt, her gaze still fixed on the door. **

"Your vortessence... You much good with it? We might be in need."

** Upstairs, above the lobby, Ali creeps out from the music room and joins Edwin on the balcony. She speaks in a nervous, hushed tone. **

Umm yeah sorry to bother you, however, unless Ali escaped the city location back at 2015, he would have been ampootated, as everyone aged below 18 was killed.

**Edwin looks to his side, then down at Ali, noticing immediately her appearance.**

"Blimey! You're like.. Wow, okay, uh, yeah there's some kind of vehicle out there- definitely alien. Or just really loud."

Nate sits on a couch in the upstairs of the Inn. He get's up, sighing as he is bored with nothing happening at the moment. As he walks towards the hall's stairway he hears the sound of what seems to be something large, and most likely dangerous...
Nate then unslings his pulse-rifle, heading toward the front of the Inn, looking out the windows.
Nate generally asks:

What's going on?

He then moves behind the counter near the front door, aiming his rifle at the windows.

The vortigaunt turns slightly to face the woman, Layla, and simply nods, staring at her for a couple of moments before risking a peek over the counter, then lowering himself back to his previous position.

** Layla, already behind the counter, speaks in hushed tones to Nate **

"Over-Watch APC, by the sounds of it...

Layla thinks to herself, "Damn, why didn't I set up my camera' yet..."

The APC turns around the last bend of the road, now in clear sight of the Inn. Rolling to a halt ten meters out from the shabby building, the engine turns to idle, calmly and quietly sitting there, the sleek silver paint reflecting the golden sun rays.
