I will try to get the in-game insignia and post them in spoilers for each ranks :)

That way it will help people to know what rank other Policemen are :)

Thanks for your help/idea, whatever i can call it, [Templar] xxTheTemplarxx

Sounds good to me. Glad I can help.

Also is there a limit of how many players can have each rank?

I mean eventually every cop will be a police Sergeant. Not that realistic. hierarchy is needed. especially for RP and handling situation. Unless there is going to be higher ranks set for officers that are chosen by the admins as trusted players that can lead the police force.

Accepted Suggestions / Police Rank Suggestion.
« on: May 19, 2013, 04:29:07 AM »
Id like to see a some changes done to the police ranks.

Level 1 Recruit
Level 2 Officer
Level 3 Corporal
Level 4 Sergeant
Level 5 Lieutenant

Detectives are a specialized part of the rank system.

Also on the rank insignia on the sleeves can be held the same. Although for the Lieutenant rank instead of keeping it the same as a Sergeant it can be a Silver Bar.

And also for the Chief it should be ranked as Captain.

This will greatly help distinguishing high ranked and experienced officers.

Police Level Ranks Insignia.

Level 1 Recruit :

Level 2 Officer :

Level 3 Corporal :

Level 4 Detective :

Level 5 Sergeant :

Sergeants insignia is pretty much this with the exception of the uniform missing one rocker (one of the stripes under the star)

This is the ranks that show up on the sleeves of the police uniform.

If your a lvl 2 officer and you are elected chief does the time count for your promotion or do you have to be a regular cop? (also time as SWAT count toward promotion?)

Denied Suggestions / Re: New Police Car Models
« on: May 17, 2013, 12:46:20 PM »
I support this 100% the Crown Victoria would be a great addition to the game and replacing the vaspid would be great. If this car was implemented I would r driving that than the dodge all the time. Just looks clean, slick, and a great representation of a police cruiser.

Please add!

Suggestions / Re: About the EMS revive timer
« on: May 15, 2013, 03:22:17 AM »
I think it's more in play so NLR can be followed and also medics can't be abused. What if cops can constantly be quickly and constantly be revived? Police raids would ultimately lead to a police victory. Or turn the tables and have a house full of bad guys getting raided by cops but have a medic as hostage making him revive the fallen then cops wouldn't be able to do much at that point.

I completely understand where your coming from but I think it's made the way it is for a reason. Sometimes life just sucks.

I like the idea. I agree the paramedic job isn't realistic. It's more of brawl happened at BP need a medic then get mobbed. Hey I need a heal, I need a heal. Rather than oh shit he got shot, defib, walk him to ambulance take him to hospital and there he can get fixed.

As for the actual leveling between the ranks I think that time in position is obvious but not sure what other criteria can be placed. Not sure of ticketing or arrest could count but there is no real way to verify each one as a real ticket or arrest without friends helping each other out. But Time in grade should be like 2-4 hours in rookie , 12 hrs patrolman, 24 hrs corporal, 34 hrs as sergeant. So it would take 3 days and some change of total playing time AS a COP to be rank 5.

Suggestions / Re: Fire hose view for nonfiremen
« on: May 13, 2013, 01:17:35 PM »
I was just wondering if you could change/make another model when people have the fire hose (not sure if the extinguisher is the same).
Because when you look at the fireman/men turning out a fire, they just stand there with their hands down and look at the fire and it automatically turns out.. Make the model to be hold as shotgun or something from the "outside" view, so it actually looks like he hold something in his hands.

I will try to get a picture soon, so you can see what i mean :)

Denied Suggestions / Re: SWAT... what is the point?
« on: May 13, 2013, 12:06:28 PM »
Simple solution; passive RP.

You go to a base, or the nexus, you walk around doing passive, until you're deployed.

If anything you can say the same about firefighters, secret service as well as paramedics. They all have to do nothing until the time arises when they're called out — granted secret service are a little more active, but when the mayor sits in his office all day, you have to passive until something happens.

Don't like passive but like action? Don't roll SWAT, stay as police.

Completely agree. I do passive all the time as a firefighter. Paramedics can Atleast make house calls just to check up on people. But like Dr said if you can't stand being SWAT and taking the chance of not having anything to do well choose another job.

First off I want to apologize for the format of this post due to me posting it from my phone. But this is what I think the police job should entail.

Police Rules: Being a cop should be easy. Follow the laws and enforce them.

1. Be polite : You are there in service to the citizens of the city not to be a dick.
2. Follow the laws : You are still a citizen of the city. You are NOT exempt from the laws and policies of the city or the department.
3. Enforce the laws : This is part of your job. Lead by example. Make sure the laws are followed by the people.
4. Don't show force : Don't walk around with your tazer, baton, or weapons out. Unless you feel your life is in danger.
5. PARTNER UP: Find another officer and partner up. This will increase authority and also provides a witness for crime.
6. Respond to calls : It's your job. If someone calls 911 go to it.
7. No Organization ties : You are a officer of the law NOT part of your organization. Don't be biased or "look away" because it's your buddy. DO your job.

Location: The main tower seems to work well. Although a actual police station would be better. Maybe a two story building. If the nexus should stay the police station then make the department want to work or live out of it. Furniture in the police department floor will provide a reason to go up there.

Job Description/Purpose : You are EC finest. You volunteered to serve the citizens of Evo City. By enforcing the laws set by the country and the mayor and providing a safe environment for the people to live in. Do what is right. Help lead the people to a better future. You are a Evo City Police Officer.

Chat commands : Just a couple things I had in mind.

/assist : would work like life alert but for cops when they call a back up unit or units.
/Grab : this could be added but might not be popular. Would work to grab a person to lead them into the station when handcuffed. Most of the time people just tend to run off or run around jumping and police have to resort to tazing multiple times until ultimately having to shoot the person or a admin has to be involved.

Police Levels:

Level 1: The rookie.
- Level 1 pistol
- No cruiser. PERIOD. You need time with a more senior officer. Learn the ropes.
- Tazer

Level 2 : Patrolman
- Level 2 pistol
- Police Cruiser (vaspid) Unlocked.
- Tazer
- Small increase in pay.

Level 3 : Corporal
- Level 3 pistol
- Police Cruiser upgrade (better speed, handling, and stopping power) (IF POSSIBLE)
- Tazer
- Police Shotgun (16 rounds)
- Granted Spike Strips and 2 Concrete Barriers once on duty
- Increase in pay

Level 4 : Sergeant
- Level 4 pistol
- The dodge cruiser ( please fix the handling of this car)
- Tazer
- Police Shotgun (24 rounds)
- Granted Spike Strips and 2 Concrete Barriers once on duty
- Increase in pay

Level 5 : Lieutenant
- Level 5 pistol
- The dodge cruiser (upgraded)
- Tazer
- Police Shotgun (30 rounds)
- Grantes Spike Strips and 2 Concrete Barriers once on duty
- Increase in pay
- Can Grant warrants.

Well that's all I got. I'm open to suggestions. Thanks for reading!

More of a question. With Police Chief in place. Would there be Fire Chief? Doctor? above the fireman and EMS units? Granted i understand there are always more cops around but i would assume having it there wouldnt hurt for the sake of RP/Realism.

Suggestions / Fixing the placement of passangers and funiture.
« on: May 12, 2013, 04:14:41 AM »
Not sure if this has already been discussed and dont think its a bug but just wanted to suggest that the placement where you get out of a vehicle as a passenger and the place where you get off a piece of furniture that you sit is gets fixed to get off the appropriate perspective side. Like passengers in a car getting out on top of the vehicle rather than to the side of it as well as popping up on top of the furniture. Ive personally been getting stuck in roofs because of this when there was perfectly good space to the sides of the vehicles and objects.
