Server Update



The City Server has been applied with the final update of the major update being rolled out over the past few days.

This update, includes:
- City 45 Update

City 11 was in ruins even before the citizens were moved there.  And the increase in activity caused it to decay even more.  After a long ride, City 45 has finally been purged of the infestation and rebuilt, ready for citizen inhabitation.  As the citizens get ready for the move, their data is updated and new clothes are issued with City 45 branding.  The CCA forces stay with their City 11 uniforms until the Union issues them their new uniforms once the move is done.

Changelog for City 45, Catalyst Edition v1x:
Removed the thousand+ AI_Nodes
Removed the prop_physics that spawned on the map
Lua-blocked the combine hardpoint buttons to only allow CCA units to press them
Lua-blocked the armory and various other strategic buttons to only allow High Command to press them

Changes to HL2RP Code:
- CWU Doors no longer break halfway
- Nexus doors (that are not combine doors) auto-lock in the same method as CWU doors
- Dispatch Voices changed for rations and CWU.
- Three new guides added to the guide listings
- Added new guide section in the directory.  IC Guides/Information is for items such as Civil Offences, Contraband Item list, etc.
- OTA will only show if: You are OTA faction, you are 01+, or you are admin.
- Added 2 new UU-Branded books.
- Made the character creation guide show on new character creation.
- C11.CCA characters auto-switch to C45.CCA

I agree to this, though I'm only a cr00t (soon to be 04) I'm pretty sure 01's can get into the armory so why HC only?

No one should be getting it from the ammo spawners anyway unless they are hc or with hc.

So regular units still have access to armory? With IC permission of course.

The C45 armory is unique.  It requires a keycode to access, and only HC is given the key code.

Yes.  I just saw that, its a HDR error.  I fixed it, just redownload it.

AKA: Redownload the map if you have downloaded before this post.

Taking a quick look at the new version of city45 I spy multiple un-aligned walls and portal errors. Also a lot of props that are not necessary. (Like the perimeter restrictors.)

Could all very easily be fixed.

My personal thoughts on the armory:
Give 01+ the key code.

Heres what happened:

I was out of ammo, and there was a code yellow and a UCH sweep.

Nobody on was in HC.

HC unit came on, only to say he forgot the code.

HC unit d/c'ed ad nobody got ammo.

The end.

Also, if somebody would have taken the time to achieve 01 rank, wouldn't they be responsible enough to make sure people get ammunition when they need it?

Waffle contacted me and asked if I could redo parts of the map. So I am.

Apartments are completely different and not assfucked to hell.
They're smaller (since I doubt you used all of the space in the original).
There's a communal shower area instead of dedicated bathrooms (you still have bogs though).
Unoccupied space is taken up by a park.
Changed the armoury code (again).
Many other misc. fixes.

Anyone got any suggestions?
