hl2.exe has stopped working

Every Time I join OCRP it comes up with the "hl2.exe has stopped working" message
It only seems to happen on OCRP, I'm looking into the other details to add
plz help, i really wwanna be on orange cosmos and this stupid little bug has kept me away for over a week!

Ok, I started a singleplayer session on evocity_33

Ah, problem, it crashed ingame with "hl2.exe has stopped working"
I was driving, about to take someone over as a cop and it just froze and disconnected me

Turn down your graphics settings in options > video > advanced

Also, if you use xfire to record videos get rid of it, this happened to me until i deleted xfire.
