[SUGGESTION] Project: Take-down [City/Outlands]

Plot: As the day grows long in City 45, a group of what seems to be Combine recruits arrive, they are really Resistance troops, being used to temporarely disable the Suppression Feild in City 45, lifting the burdon of no child birth. They will understand the Combine tech inside, and out before getting into the Suppression Feild tech. As they work on the Suppression Feild weeks after, the OTA AI figures out they are fucking with it, sends OTA troops, begining to fire upon our now cover-blown. Our Resistance troops they manage to kill them, they finish taking out the Suppression Feild, and get the fuck out of dodge, leaving not a single thread of there existance.

Reasons for event: A change from the norm, allowing a brief few days of reproduction, and the Combine highering security.


Any more idea's for said event? Post 'em below.

(OTA AI is real, its just never shown in the game itself, unless you count the dispatcher.)

(Btw, for those who say this isn't in-canon, think about what Barney did, and thats in-canon.)

It isn't in canon
Barney was a resistance agent who slowly worked his way in - Not a random group of webuls turning up without biosignals or training. Speaking of which - Without UU training in mechanics and such, resistance members couldn't even interface with UU devices, let alone work on them.
Resistance soldiers taking down COTA on their home turf? Not likely.
A few days without detection? More like a few hours, if even.

tl;dr, Good idea, but not canon.

Isn't the suppression field held in the Citadel rather than the nexus?

There's no way CCA, never mind CCA RECRUITS would be allowed anywhere near it anyways, not even in the Citadel.

The suppression field flows oxygen prohibiting reproduction, so it could take months for effects to wear off.

No it only took at week before Kliner was promoting "Procreation".

I normally strongly support a lot of resistance RP over CCA but they're right what you have would never work.

Yeah but that in itself is what I kinda see as a plot hole, the fact that it flowed through the air and the contaminated oxygen would take months to wear off. I guess, although, like the others said, it wouldn't be entirely canon.

The suppression field prevents proteins being structured in an embryo or something. People would be able to reproduce immediately after it was shut down but if it was re-enabled then the embryo would die again.

Not going to happen. The fact that you want to get anti-citizens disguised as Recruits into a Universal Union (CmD+) only area and disable a technology that even an entire division of mechanical Units can't understand nor touch is too much.
