Problem with Gmod

Whenever I start Gmod it shows the back ground for the menu and no menu options. Please help.

way to be blunt
did you reinstall
did you verify integrity of the cache
did you delete the garrysmod folder (or rename it) and launch gmod
did you restart your computer
