I am planning on converting my server to a HL2RP server, and I would like to use some of the cannon and training information that the bright people of CG have came up with, so that I can start off on the right foot, and of course I would give credit should my request be accepted.

You could start up a hl2rP tutorial server where servers can send new players to learn about thecanon and gamemode.

You know, that does sound like a good idea. Too many potentially good players turn into mingebags because of not being informed of the rules and guidelines.

And if you talk to waffle or raiden they can advertise or code a way to connect players to the said server.

I don't know much Lua, but really, how hard would it be to call the disconnect and connect functions?

It's not that hard or it shouldn't be, just make a notification to press F5 to connect to the ip will pop up.
