Teehee. Other means. The G710 is a mechanical keyboard. If thats what you're looking for, go for it. I have a G510 which has macros that I use often in many games and even in hammer, and it has a neat little monochromatic LCD you can use for whatever. I just use it for time and monitoring of hardware (temps, workload, etc) but lots of games have applets that work with it. All depends on what you want.

If you want responsive and abuse taking, get the 710. If you just want a nice looking backlight board, go with cow. If you want some macro keys you can bind and a screen to monitor your computer, get the 510.

Now, as for the parts, here's a combination of hardware that will give you the power you need and are reliable, and all from the same place so you dont pay $100 on shipping from multiple spots. I compiled this list with moderate budget in mind as well as the help of my roommate who does this for a living and my buddy who is a computer enthusiast:

Power (Is adequate for this setup and some upgrades in the future)
CPU (If you like intel, go for that but you'll need a diff mobo)
Video Card (wont let you down)
Memory (I've seen Planetside hit the 3.5gb mark, this is cheapter then 6gb)
MoBo (this board has loads of room for expansion)
HDD (Nothing too fancy. Will load games just fine)
DVDD (Basic but will work just fine)

As for the operating system and case, I'll let you decide what you want to do.

All this will be about $810 before taxes and shipping. Add on windows 7 and whatever case you want and you're looking at somewhere around $940. (assuming 100 for the OS* and 30 for your case)

*Based off neweggs price for W7 Home Premium OEM, poke me for the pros and cons of OEM

Welp, thanks everyone who posted. All of your suggestions and opinions are valued and I should be getting a new computer soon! So I'll make a thread about that later on. Still looking into alts for some parts, but all in all I think I got a good build.

I have a proposition for you KJUN. I just upgraded my PSU and GPU. So now I have a perfectly good GTX 560 Factory OCed and 600W power supply that I need to get rid of. I would be willing to sell them to you really cheap. :D

Okay KJUN I took a look at your budget and what and what you want to run, here is the parts and their prices. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1NXh8. Yes the hard drive is not a ssd. The only real difference between SSD and HDDs, is SSD is faster to boot up that's about the only real advantage. So yea the one listed there might not be as fast on boot up but 2 TB should be plenty. Second thing is you don't a 500 dollar graphics card to run all games on HD. This one will still be great and its about 300 dollars less. Third change is you want 16GB of RAM not only 8. RAM is frankly cheep and it speeds up your entire system overall. This will make up for not having a huge overly  priced graphics card, and will make the system run faster overall. I kept the same case and stuff you picked out. The fan is also changed you don't need a really expensive one for the simple fact that your processor dosen't need all that power to cool it. I also found a power supply because that wasn't listed. Overall you saved about 400 dollars that you can put towards other things in the future. I hope I helped if you have an questions on how to assemble and troubleshoot shoot me a message. Hope it helped.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm still working on a build. this will help a lot. I do think I have enough help from those who posted, and I feel confident for getting the parts, so I'm going to lock this. Thanks all!
