Post by: NykezTV on December 24, 2011, 08:28:23 PM: Kinda right and kinda wrong. I got the sheild off some template and redid the outglow+innerglow. For The Text I redid the font and lower the opacity a lot. for the shit outside the shield was redone also with some blending effects.

you should probably redo it in a higher res. Just so it doesn't cut off background effects and its higher quality when re-sizing.

The letters of the first one just don't match with the shield, the circles within should have been the same size as the shield has.
I just don't find these very hard to make, like really I know how you made it from just looking at it.

The shade would be the same shield just lowered and blackened with transparancy(it's also off to the left, look closely), same for the outlines it would have been made a little bit bigger, and the inside curve black/grey is also very sloppy, it's not equal if you look closely the right side is lower than the left. The C would just be put over it with random fading on the bottom, it doesn't match the black and grey crossing, it just went. The stripes would neither be hard to make, just need a good template somewhere, it's probably even drawn. And the Catalyst is using red shadows which is also off to the right.

It's not so good, however I do find this purple one beautiful. - Do you have the projects and could you upload the purple one, with your credit obviously.

tried to keep blocky appeal from the original logo, but tried to make it look less like mspaint shit.

Simplicity is key.
Yours is pretty simple too.
1) Type CG, make red.
2) Apply pattern.
3) Make multiple circles, making them different sizes, and the middle becomes red.
4) apply drop shadow to everything.
5) THEN ADD BRUSHES!

Looked further into this, found out he was correct.

Don't post something here again claiming it to be yours when its not. At least give the author for the templates credits.
