Title: Authorisation question (vehicle flags)
Post by: [CA] KiwieeEh on January 22, 2012, 07:59:35 PM
This is where I currently stand.
I have an Outland character and have been given auths for mechanical abilities. I spent a decent week OOCly searching for parts and beginning a build, I am now about 60% through this build with a decent tool supply, anf a chassis with drive, fuel tank, engine, gearbox, and pedals.
However. I have noted that applying for flags is strictly forbidden.
My question is: can I apply to have vehicle flags considering I've spent nearing two weeks OOCly building this car on the outlands, or will it be instantly denied. Causing me to have a dramatic change in the RP?

You have to apply for authorisation for such things.

I believe you may have misunderstood me. I am aware I would require auths for the flags, however, the auth rules post states that you can not ask for flags such has vehicle flags.

I already have mechanic authorisation, this was given to me by a lovely sandwich of mine.

Did some guy steal your wielder earlier today? I remember a shoot out around a warehouse with a bunch of scraps and junk cars and the sort. Cool RP.

I support this authorization aslong at I get to ride it every once in a while.

I remember Ghost, back a while ago, wrote a 5 page paper on how his character got a crossbow. Prox insta denied him, without reading the authorization I assure you, with absolutely no feedback or anything. It was simply on the grounds of the rules. Five pages. A CP is guaranteed weapons with less then a page. I'm always backing up the citizen, but the ever so persistent group of close minded elitist is barrier that is difficult to beat.

On the other hand, there have been a lot more 'liberal' authorizations being accepted. Some people got out of their hole and aloud children and even a dog. Although these are very simple liberties, this is a look to the future. Good luck my friend, you're going to need it.

Write up a good backstory and I'll discuss it with my team.

I've been writing the building logs for some time. I'll write a complete IC building log for the build and use that as my "backstory" if you wish, it comes with screenshots of the work. Oh, and btw raiden. My secret project is at about 60%. I'll ship it to you by the weekend.

Also, afaik- once the build is complete, and you're in the server, an admin would spawn you the car once you leave and come back the next day, an admin simply spawns it again. Tl;dr I don't think you need flags.

Indeed, I've been more active on the outlands lately so I wouldn't mind doing it for ya. ( I'm sure I've hit n flags on my admin char lol)
