IC Character Name: Kurt Bellington
1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so. Kurt has been transported through a handful of cities. The first one he was placed into, the units were extremely powerful. Due to the recent capture of the world, morale was low everywhere. Those who joined the Combine however, were benefited. It then became clear to Kurt that the Combine were making humans stronger, making them into super-humans. He saw they kept the law, keeping order no matter where, and Kurt couldn't help but fall in love with the idea of that much power.
He isn't in it entirely for the power and capabilities the Combine Civil Authority allows its units, he also has a thirst for bringing justice to rebels and other gangsters. They had often made fun of him, insulting him in the other cities and before the combine had taken over. He enjoys keeping order, simply.
He has met several units of the Combine Civil Authority. Some of which he has almost even befriended. He takes the challenge unto himself to search for contraband, then turning it in to the CCA, as his recent trip to the front of the rations line for being a loyal citizen encouraged this behaviour.

3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character. I expect it to be a fun experience. Kurt will like it because he will see the world with a new pair of eyes, and he welcomes change. I myself will like it because it will also introduce something new and exciting. I don't think I'll really become respected by others, however it will be new, as I said. I myself am attracted to the idea of standing at the District 6 hard-point, tapping my stun baton against my leg, saying
"Apply." to the occasional citizen who passes, then checking my datapad to bring up their information
Anyway, from more of Kurt's point of view, as described previously Kurt doesn't like the idea of the rebellion because he believes the Combine are here to help humans, and are definitely making them more advanced. Kurt is the kind of person who believes that strict law is often required, to protect others from the chaos that would run rampant without the CCA to keep a close eye. Kurt wants to aid this, because he believes that by doing this, he will aid in creating the true destiny of human kind. He believes that as a race humans and the other races were meant to be combined with technology to benefit them in the long-run.
4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words. Kurt never had a true family. When he was young, his mother killed herself, leaving his father emotionally devastated. His father referred to alcahol and other drugs, violating the ever-so-precious law. Kurt and his father both knew what he was doing was illegal. Not knowing how to handle his stress except drugs, he often abused and beat his son. Kurt was angered, searching for everything his father had ever done. He knew drugs were illegal of course, and then he figured, with his childish brain that all who abuse the law are disgusting and cruel people like his father. As he grew up he was made fun of, the worst of all was when others taunted him, saying, "Haha! Your mom killed herself! It's because of you!" and things along that line.
When he turned 18, his father dead also, Kurt began learning to fire guns, soon becoming a marksman, shooting better than most of those at his age. When he turned 21, he was one of the lucky ones. He was watching television and there was a breaking news report.
It said that strange beings entered Earth, attacking those who lived on it. Not expecting this, the Earth fell within 7 hours, as we all know. So, Kurt just lived, moving from city to city for different reasons, until he finally came to reach his destination. City 45. Meeting a man named Eli Golenberg. Eli then proceeded to show Kurt around, introducing him to the shops, the Nexus, and the rashions station. They then became room-mates, going on a few adventures into District 6, though nothing really happened within said travels, but Kurt was often scared by groups of thugs, which only encouraged his hate of law-breakers, and Eli seemed to speak so highly of the Combine Civil Authority that Kurt finally decided to apply.

7. What�s your most memorable quality RP experience? I was on a zombie RP server, leading this group called "D.A.R.P.A" I being the D.A.R.P.A director. Basically what D.A.R.P.A is is the last branch of the government, whom created the virus. Anyway, I was hiding out in a town, about 4 armed soldiers were guarding me, and I was escorted out, 3 out of the 4 falling to the zombie infection, leaving only a man with a 9mm pistol and I with my handy desert-eagle to fight across the desert, finally reaching my destination.
