Beta release for donators?
will this be more than a simple gui change and a few more carsyes
What happens to our cars and money etc that we've collected?Undecided yet.
On another note, even though I'm not active, would you be allowed to rename it? CGRP? Just a suggestion, OCRP needs to die, just saying
Please don't ask our staff about information for OCRP2, and don't bug Crap-Head about it. You will all be told when we are ready to give more information on the gamemode.
Ignore me then, that's cool
As long as this isn't a cheap excuse to reset everyone's stats, I'm looking forward to it

Thinking exactly the same thing.
Reset everyones stuff and watch how the server dies a quick death. Simple fact. I dare you to challenge it.hi I'm DBK and I act like I know everything because i've started a bunch of communities that lasted a week
Wiping everyones stuff will cause problems. I tried it at an old PERP community and unfortunately a general minority will qq/cry and leave. That being said there's always people who will agree and think a wipe/reset is in the best interests of everyone. If we decide on a wipe it's not like we're doing it for no reason whatsoever. The update is going to be so massive it's going to be pretty much a different gamemode. We'll see how things go.

Just keep like it how it is now, but lots of changes, i saved very long for my money and cars!

And now you have your money and card - what now?
What now? Now we wait for a new map/game mode/new experiences with the money and cars we have and/or put in new cars/save for new cars. This isn't the end of the world that people like I who have weeks and weeks of playtime on the same exact server (OCRP) don't want a reset. All they have to do is put in the new game mode and put in many new cars, props, mini games, etc... So what it makes the content pack bigger, if people really know how good this community and its servers really are (most people hear from friends), then they will take the time to download it. I know main and only goal in OCRP for people currently is getting cars, and I have a feeling that no matter what we do, that won’t ever change. I believe the only reason it is about cars and growing is that getting cars and growing is the most interesting and everyone likes it. With that being said we need to have more activities and fun stuff in OCRP so people won’t be so focused on crimerp such as growing. One of my suggestions is that we should put in mini games like the ones in gmod party then maybe that will help a little and most people would not always have to go to crime RP all the time. On a semi-related note, look how whenever OCRP gets updated in general, there's a massive spring in players for a few days, then it dies back down, because people get used to the new things and go back to growing. There has to be a way around this, were just not seeing it.
Just my 2 cents.

Is there anything about unbans for people who where semi-unfairly banned and don't want to pay $50??

Garry's Mod Roleplay (including PERP and OCRP);
Fuck acting, let's act hardcore and drive like we're playing GTA and grow weed and act like we're from the ghetto.
Seriously, the main aim of roleplaying gamemodes is;
1) Get money whatever way possible
2) Buy a car
3) Act like a dickhead in your new virtual car
4) Done
If you donated on OCRP will it pass over to OCRP 2 ?Not likely to. It would be giving a better start to people who donated, and the last thing we want is more elitism.
I think he means the gold member/vip donation, if I'm not mistaken. If the server resets, I'm pretty sure you would keep your gold/vip memberIf you donated on OCRP will it pass over to OCRP 2 ?Not likely to. I know people who donated for 1mil or more. It'd be incredibly unfair to start off with 1 mil. On the other hand, If I had donated for 1 mil, i'd feel angry and cheated like hell.
Please, take the time to read this:
OCRP IS all about making money and buying fancy cars to drive around and look cool. But that doesn't mean it has to. If there were other ways of earning money other than just GROWING stuff, like being a businessman, investing money in stocks, playing in a casino, being cop(who are incredibly underpaid), being a medic, being mayor, w/e you want to be. NO. You can only earn good amounts of money GROWING.
And new ways to SPEND your money. I understand there must be new expensive things, such as cars and shit. But what people seem to enjoy as well is STATUS. So a few additions to the player's model, like sunglasses, a hat, a tie, a pair of shoes, things the other players can see and talk about. "Wow, nice hat, how much was it?" Same way people talk about fancy cars. And that gives them purpose.
The reason why people don't RP that much is mostly because growing weed and shit is not something quite RP-able. Or lets say, it doesn't promote it. /me waters the weed plant as he amazes himself with the speed it grows. "Damn, I'll be able to buy a car soon.", he says. Now some things that do promote RP are jobs, games, events, and those "accessories" I mentioned. /me touches his fancy hat as he counts the money he's going to invest. Looks again to the monitor, realising his stocks are dropping really fast. "Damn!", he yells, and gets up in a hurry, to talk with the sales girl. His hat falls off his head. "I wanna sell my stocks, right now!".
I know he'd probably sell his stocks before typing it all, xD. But hey, I think you got the main idea. Lots of new stuff, lots of new RP-able ways to earn and spend money. That's what I hope to see, and that's what would overcome my anger of getting reset.
Sorry for the long post.
If you donated on OCRP will it pass over to OCRP 2 ?VIP/Gold will.
I heard it could get reset.. not sure if true.. but some peoples responses to it were not good.
OCRP isn't about growing weed and whoring money and buying cars. If any of you guys where around in Orange Cosmos you'd know that was like a "side objective" - everyone still had time to passive RP, set up shops, run mayor events, run events with their org and just have fun. I haven't been on OCRP in ages but I doubt someone's set up a party at the pool "just for fun" recently....
I would say if a wipe is to happen, that whatever cash we donated for is returned to us, not the cash we earned by growing etc. People have donated for a lot of OCRP cash and it will cause a lot of rage and mad if you decide not to return that cash to them on the next gamemode.
When you donate, you're not donating for money. You're donating to keep our servers running and we're giving you a gift as a thanks for that. That's just a front to avoid some laws and shit. If you sell in-game money, if you reset, people can go to Justice. If you donate and get in-game money as reward, you can't go to Justice in case of a reset.
Yeah, it's a motive to get people to donate as no one really would if you didn't gain anything out of it.When you donate, you're not donating for money. Everyone knows we are purchasing in-game money/gold/vip, not just "donating for the server". Though there are a few people that actually donate.

Do you really think most of the people here would go out of their way to sue a gaming community that isn't even a registered entity? Also, if we wanted to get around laws, we could say you donated for OCRP cash, not OCRP2.
Please think things through before posting them.
I donated a total of $150 dollars in the past

Oh wow...

What's the problem with that?
To be honest, I have 37 out of 42 cars currently, along with a lot of items, a lot of guns, a huge 1,010kg organization bank, and a lot more by playing OCRP since OC, and you know what? I would be happy if when OCRP2 came out that everyone would be reset. I think this will make it fun again, to be able to earn everything back again, at the same pace as everyone else. You have things to look forward to, along will all the new additions in OCRP2. There are other communities where people actually pay to have their accounts reset so they can rank back up again to make it fun again. I know a lot of people hate call of duty, but it can also kind of be referred to what call of duty does, you rank to the highest rank, and then they allow you to prestige to start all over again so you can earn it all back and it makes it fun to earn it all back and rank up again. Some don't like it, but I think if they wiped everyone's accounts, it would make it more fun, even with all the shit I've had and the years I've spent working for it all, I still wouldn't mind getting reset. Right now, it's a very boring, I either raid or do stuff with organization members or I grow to make money to use for passive rp events because I already have most of the cars and enough guns, props and what not. Just not fun anymore. I would love a reset, plus with all the new features in OCRP2, I think it's a good idea to balance everything out again and let everyone begin anew at the same time.
