For the record, those road textures technically make those one-way streets, because white dotted lines are used to separate lanes on a one-way road.

There's a gap in this fence in the suburbs:
These textures meet at a diagonal and consequently do not look correct. The same problem exists with the corner opposite diagonally, but not in the remaining two: 63

Weird shadow:
The floor of the fire training center still has dev textures: This door is locked by default: The lighting sucks in here: Poor lighting: This flooring is awfully bright. The same thing happens with some of the wood floor textures: Floating tree: The label on this is screwed up, and it doesn't actually open the gate. You can hear a gate opening noise in the far distance, but no gate opens: (same thing for the gate on the otherside) Poor lighting: This floor looks like shit: I seem to recall you putting a open/close gate here when you made it, but there isn't one: I would remove this, or make it a door of some sort: Lack of lighting: You can't walk through here (countryside gas station): There is no button to operate the elevator on the outside here, or on the next floor, and the button on the inside does not work: Shitty lighting: Are these meant to be there? (the rope on the ceiling): These doors are a bitch: Door doesn't open: This doesn't do anything (don't know if it should). On a side note, the form of capital punishment used in Oregon is lethal injection, not the electric chair: There is no way to get into the observation room for executions: No way to open this: Not sure if this matters: These windows don't match: There's no way into this backyard: Numerous street signs still say "Streename #" but I'm sure that's just 'cos you haven't finished it yet. Hope this helps. Best of luck. Edit: Removed redundant bug reports. 64
Support & Help / Re: Some Admins Not Doing Job« on: August 10, 2013, 07:05:11 AM »Wouldn't a good admin drop everyone in his hands, even when rp'ing, to go help the dude that just reported "John Doe is RDMing at Blue Harbour, can you come?"Having been an administrator at this community for two years, and now being in the opposite role of a player, I must tell you that you're wrong. A good administrator does their job when they can, but also makes sure to not over-extend themselves, and to not stress themselves out. Players need to remember that administrators are volunteers, and there is very little return for what we do, except the joy of a server that runs smoothly. I have administrated for Half-Life 2 Roleplay, Orange Cosmos Roleplay, and Harbor Roleplay during my time here, and I will tell you that Harbor Roleplay is hands-down the most stressful experience as an administrator. If it seems like an administrator is ignoring your report, they're probably responding to someone else already, and simply are too busy to reply. In some cases, and it's completely understandable, an administrator may simply be taking a break from their duties, because it is unfathomably stressful, and in the cases of many administrators, has negative ramifications in real life. Administrators need to take breaks so that they can have a clear mind and good judgment in their jobs, and so that they can attend to the incomparably more important duties they have in life. So, while yes, if an administrator is busy it may be convenient for you if they responded in OOC, lots of times they're too busy or they just want a break. The most important job you have as a player is to have a little compassion and a lot of understanding for the position that administrators are in, because it is a very stressful one. 65

You're positive that your other hardware can support the card, yes?

Mapping / Re: RP_Rockford Progress« on: August 05, 2013, 02:37:36 PM »Can Rockford support helicopters? It would add a new layer of gameplay for all.Even if it can, helicopters probably won't be (and shouldn't be) added. But if Statua says it can, then go and make a suggestion for it. 67

Not random then, maybe like every 15 to 30 mins. Can we make it so that it is not admin controlled... that would make me want to join more if it where a completely random storm and such....It causes too much lag to be kept random. 68
Suggestions / Re: Reviving OCRP, YES WE CAN !« on: July 30, 2013, 11:52:53 AM »our organisation is hated on OCRP but it is a fact we kept OCRP2 alive for a few months. And it is hated because of a few people. Me, Michiel and Jos did barely anything wrong and we had a lot of friend me and jos only got 1 ban in the whole time we played and it was a 12 hours ban i think and Michiel got permabanned for minor infractions. Not our whole organisation were a bunch of CDM and RDM'ers. For one, OCRP2 hasn't been around long enough for your organization to have single-handedly kept the server alive for a 'few months.' An assertion like that shows an ignorance of the gamemode and a disgusting arrogance. Many people stopped playing OCRP, because they were fed up with organizations that raided other people, and were discouraged by the lack of real, meaningful gameplay, the opposite of sitting around growing all day. If your organization did either of those, which I'm fairly sure they did, then you're part of the problem, not the solution, and you're certainly not the saviors of the day. If you wish to continue seeing yourself in that light, that's your right to, but I strongly urge you to open your eyes to the actual problems we face in OCRP, which no one person or organization, not even you or yours, can fix alone. If this seems rude, then fine. I find your assertion that you actually contributed something valuable to the gamemode rude. 69
Mapping / Re: RP_Rockford Progress« on: July 30, 2013, 11:40:13 AM »The old blueprint (which isn't in this thread anymore) shows plenty of parking spaces in the city, as well as area for bus stops, and current development pictures and things shown in Statua's stream show parking. There actually isn't, by the way, a lot of freespace in the city area, and you wouldn't put parking outside the city, except at gas stations. Areas that look like "freespace" on this current blueprint are elevated, inaccessible land, necessary to Statua's optimization techniques.Updated the blueprint/map. This one should/will be the final. Some secluded homes might be nice tooI see a few secluded homes on the blueprint. 70

Suggestions / Re: Fancy New Gamemode Overhaul Ideas« on: July 23, 2013, 04:40:06 AM »I suggested a few things like the doctor, the "Devolpers" or lazy gamers I should say denied it because they did not want to code it... I like just about everything in this thread btw. +SUPPORT!I would imagine that it was denied because it is unnecessary to make it another job when it can be roleplayed, because at this community we believe in roleplay > script. This isn't DarkRP, you have the freedom to play the character you wish to play, and the developers shouldn't have to hand you a guideline on a silver platter for you to be able to do what you wish to do with the gamemode. 72

Welcome back Kiwiee! You could say that you and I have had similar experiences. I used to be a superdouche two years ago, and since then I've really grown as an individual. I'm glad to see you back, dude. (P.S. add me on steam )
(P.P.S. It's Nikolai, if you didn't catch on. Steam name is Rys) 74
News and Announcements / Re: New Forum Plugin« on: July 10, 2013, 07:52:12 PM »Id rather see people agreeing and stating why they agree because then it makes more sense if I dont understand whats good from the OP.The difference here isn't between good input and bad input, it is between input and no input. Plenty of people will not take the time nor the effort to make a constructive reply. This rating system gives those people an opportunity to still voice their opinion, albeit in a less effective manner. Whether or not you "support laziness" does not matter, because people will continue to be lazy. This, at least, gives them the opportunity to be a little more constructive. Lastly, before you said that you don't really care how someone rates your posts, but others may. "It's like we're here to get judged. Fuck that shit I'm not here to get judged..." shows that you do care. Posts on these forums ought to be scrutinized, examined, and dissected if they are serious posts regarding serious matters and serious changes to this community. Many times that lack of scrutiny has led to large errors here. 75
News and Announcements / Re: New Forum Plugin« on: July 10, 2013, 06:24:33 PM »Its worded different. Instead of 'Dumb' its 'Not Brilliant'. And there's the disagree rating. They're negative ratings. But it's not destructive. Calling something 'dumb' is offensive, but saying that an idea isn't brilliant is not. Plenty of people read topics and posts without replying because they don't have anything better to say than "+-support" or they're too lazy. This gives them the ability to give their opinion in an easy manner, without having to post, especially since people aren't allowed to just post "+support." I swear this is one of the biggest problems with this community. No one is open to change. I think that this change is positive. |
