Cold War
« on: July 30, 2012, 04:40:53 PM »
(Readers note : I thought this would be the best place the write a story, I do hope you enjoy! Also I don't have any 'real' experince making stories. Please, after reading this story, leave a truthful response on how it was. This story is fiction, None of the citys in this will be real nor people. This will not be like the actual Cold War, the title is named that since this is set in Winter. Please, if you see any grammer/spelling errors tell me, but if it is a story issue I am not changing that since I will make a sequel to this story.)

                                                       Prologue
Day One
November 2nd, 4021
It was a misty morning in Europe. Citizens were still asleep during the few hours before the Cold War began. No one was aware of what would happen in the next few hours. European guards stood firmly at the gates of Goriantien. A tank was being transported into base. As the soldiers were escorting the tank into the city, a mysterious helicopter flew overhead the city. The commander of the base inside the city had attempted to communicate to the helicopter pilot, but before he could ask for identification a rocket had hit the side of the base. Citizens were running through the streets now. AA turrets were shooting at the other aerial vehicles flying in. Bombs were hitting the city faster than rocks rolling down a hill. The base had fallen to the ground.

Tanks had blasted through the back and were tearing apart soldiers, civilians, and buildings rapidly. The city stood no chance against the unidentifed attackers. Enemy soldiers rushed through the city killing everyone. Families held their children tight as they were killed. A civilian named Fredguie Klinton had made it out of the city alive. He looked back before he saw the last of the city burn to the ground. Other cities in Europe were being demolished. Fredguie or as, "Fred," hid in bushes and behind rocks as he escaped Europe.

Fred had made his way to Sweden to start a new life there. No one had known about his story of escaping the attack. Fred had started a new life in Sweden. He was unsure if anyone knew about the attack on Europe. He didn't even know the attackers or where they came from, so he had to be careful. Fred settled in the streets where he lived and made money to get a home in Sweden.

                                                              Chapter 1 : Fred's Journal
Day Four
November 6th, 4021
Hello, my name is Fredguie Klinton, but most people call me Fred. I escaped an attack in Europe on November the Second. I am here in Sweden regaining my thought. I am living out on the streets; it is very dirty and loud. My job is making pizza for now. I am trying to get a job to get a real home and bed. I can't remember the last time I took a shower. I can't understand these people, I am still learning Swedish. It is hard but if I can make money to at least take a shower, I'll be fine. I am gonna have to get used to it. I don't know how many people made it out of Europe.

I am tired but I have to get back to work. It is awkward because I sleep down the road from my job. I still don't know who to trust, even though everyone is Swedish and I can't understand them anyways. I have nothing right now except this cardboard bed. It sure is cold, but thankfully the owner to the pizza parlor understands me and he has offered me clothes. He is working on a warm and dry place for me to stay.

I swear, the pizza parlor and I have become best friends ever since we met. It is getting cold, maybe I can try my luck and sleep in the bottom hotel floor. It's warm, dry, and nice. It might rain soon. Writing will keep me sane until I get a actual room. Hey, sleeping out here is better than getting shot in the face with a rocket. Man I don't want to think about Europe anymore. I am getting tired so I will end my writing here and try my luck at the hotel.

-Fred Klinton

                                                                                  Chapter Two : Shallow-Hearted
Day Five
November 7th, 4021
Fred had arrived at the hotel. He was dirty and cold. His lips were blue and his face was dirty. His hands were black and as he proceeded into the hotel his face turned red. People stared at him in horror. He walked up to the front desk and asked, "May I please spend a few nights here?" The front desk manager replied, "You may sleep in the closet." The manager laughed at his pity, and added after his laughter, "I am just kidding, for all I know you could be bug infested, get out of my hotel you- you- you dirty piece of trash!''

Fred had said nothing and gave him the finger as he left the hotel. Fred was back out on the streets. It was only turning night time so he headed to the pizza parlor. He was allowed to stay there for a night, but only in the back room. He slept in the tiny room; it was warm on the bright side. He still couldn't sleep knowing that he left thousands of people to die without putting up a fight.

He twisted and turned in the room until a bottle of Braxo Cleaner fell on his head to wake him up. As he got up, he pulled out his notepad and turned on a light. He searched for a pen inside the closet and found one. He began to write. He shook the pen violently to get it in working order. After the third time, it began to work. It was about 2 A.M.. He wrote a letter to his best friend in the U.S.A. telling him of his adventure from mainland Europe to Sweden and what happened. Fred was almost done when he fell asleep writing.

Fred woke up to see and hear the closet door being unlocked. He looked around for a clock or light source. He found a barely working pizza clock and it read 4 A.M.. "What could the janitor or manager be doing here this late at night," he thought. By this time, Fred was standing still tired but ready for what was beyond the door. After a few seconds of hearing the door being unlocked, he heard a click and the door opened. A man in a balaclava mask and black snow suit was standing there. Fred ran at the man, tackling him to the ground, rapidly punching him. After Fred got tired, he took off the man's mask to find that it wasn't a worker, janitor, manager, or even the owner. It was a robber, sly enough to had not set off the alarm. Surprisingly, Fred had knocked out the robber. Fred ran to the phone and called the police. Th police came and arrested the man. Fred was thanked by all of the workers, managers, and especially the owner. The owner had payed Fred $200 for saving his shop. The front desk manager for the hotel across the street had come over and recognized Fred. After everyone had left, the man walked up to Fred and punched him right in the face.

Fred had come back with another punch at him, then another, knocking the man down. Fred had asked what his business was. The man had told Fred he didn't even deserve that closet. After a few more insults, Fred had told the man to go back to his hotel and he did. Fred had told the man he was shallow-hearted and he had no reason to do that to him. The man didn't reply back and walked back to his hotel. During dawn, Fred sat and watched the sun rise. Fred had to get back at the man somehow without physically hurting him.

                                                                                Chapter Three : Fred's Journal
Day Six
November 8th, 4021
Man, my life here in Sweden has changed in just a few days. I have gotten a total of $300 in the past few days, I stopped a robber, and I have been on the news. However, the hotel manager is a bitch; he couldn't even let me sleep in the closet. Thankfully, I get to sleep in the pizza parlor now. I wrote a letter to my friend Norgan. I sent it to him today explaining what has happened over time. He is on a vacation in New York. I heard it is good there. I hope he is okay. I have been watching the TV in the pizza parlor a lot lately and I have been hearing a lot of bad events recently going on over there.

But back to the manager guy. There has to be a way to get revenge without physically hurting him, or at least without killing him. Maybe, I could set up traps; I mean I am 37 years old, but I have a few tricks up my sleeve. I have some good ideas. They may fail and they may be childish, but it is better doing this than hurting him and having to go to court.

Alright here is the plan: I will buy a tape recorder and record my plan and the making of it. Then, set up other tape recorders in other rooms. Then, I will set up the 'traps' and record the sound. Then, each time I write into my notebook I will put in a recording. This seems like a good idea. I hope it works. I will make the best of what I have.

                                                                         Chapter Four : Payback
Day Seven
November 10th, 4021
The traps and recorders were set all over the hotel. The day has come to get revenge on the hotel manager. But more than just traps on the manager were heard. Something more important was heard. Fred had 'accidently' recorded a meeting. But this meeting had to do with a attack planned on Angola. Fred was unsure if they knew about it or were planning it.

Fred had gave the recording to the police, by them time they had declared on wether or not this is the manager of the hotel attack planes were already flying out of Sweden. The court got the news, it was to late now that this unknown group was attacking Angola. Still jets and helicopter flew to Angola to take action. As Fred was leaving court gunshots were heard outside. A gang of the hotel manger had come to get him out.

Fred was back to running for his life again. People fled the court like ants. People fleeing were shot, guards came out in huge ballistic armor with riot shields and heavy guns. Bullets flew from each side of the court. These gang members where getting killed one by one each. 14 people were killed and 30 majorly injured. It was a gory firefight. Gang members kept coming, other gang members droped dead.

Fred was almost out of the court when he was shot in the foot. He fell and crashed into a plant. The hotel manager came up to him and told him "This is what happens when you mess with peoples stuff...''. Right after his malicious laugh he reloaded his pistol and the body had droped quickly. The manager was shot in the back of the head. Over the body was the Pizza Parlor owner holding a revolver in his hand. Both escaped the scene and headed for the Pizza Parlor.

Fred's foot was tended to as Fred sat there in awe of the man. "How did you know I was in danger?'' Fred asked. The owner replied "I was there". Both men had laughed, then Fred said "I hope some citizens got out of Agnola safely". Both men looked down and thought, then the owner replied "By the looks of Europe; I bet not". Fred asked the man for his name and he replied "Wein, Wein Burov''. They shook hands and had a few drinks. As 11 A.M. came around Fred got tired and as he proceeded to the closet Wein stoped him. "I have a place for you to stay. A few yards down the road was another hotel that was very tiny, Fred had not noticed this. As they enterd it was bright and fancy. Wein checked him in and sent him to his room. As Fred was going to bed he reached for his notebook, then he shook his head and put his arm back to his side.
