It's not against the rules to make threads like this so please don't lollock the poll or thread.
Basically, spam was removed because very few people can't take a joke. Post your opinions here please.

I say no, but if it is brought back please just make it like it's supposed to be.
It used to be fun forum games, occasional "lol" pics, etc. Now it's just "So-and-so is a dumbfuck lolfagt", and they know they can get away with it. Whether it's serious or not, it's not against the rules because "nothing in spam should be taken seriously." It has gotten out of control and I support the removal, even if nothing in it is about me.

What if we want to use spam for fun things like forum games and posting videos of people throwing things at beiber? You know, like we did once upon a time?
We couldn't do that with the 'enter at own risk' 18+ spam and you know why.

Then suggest a board for fun forum games where posts still don't count, but keep spam as it was, because 5 people don't like spam doesn't mean it should be removed for the others who do find it funny

You're fully allowed to dislike it, but it's not meant to be taken seriously, you've literally just admitted that everything you see inside you take seriously, which isn't meant to be how it's be, you're allowed to dislike it but it shouldn't be completely removed.

I take it seriously because 75% of the posts in there are just abusing the "Don't take anything serious in here" rule to make fun of people. For example, if I called someone a "fucking asshole" in General Discussion I could get banned. If I did it in spam, it's okay because "it's not serious".

But it isn't serious, if someone calls you an asshole in spam, you shouldn't take offence and instead laugh at it, and if you can't help but take offence then just don't go in, so what if people are using it to flame? It's spam and it isn't serious, it's for fun, people need to learn to not take it serious, even if it sometimes looks like it might be serious.

That's essentially the arguement as to why spam got removed from what I've heard and seen. It specifically says 'do not take this board seriously' and 'enter at your own risk' If you're wanting to go in spam and have a wonderful pretty time where everyone says nice things and posts picutres of ponies and rainbows and memes, then please, go look somewhere else. Spam is meant to be joking, and anything people post there is meant to be a joke. If you can't seem to understand that, it's as simple as not going in the board. Nobody's going to run around saying "hey so-and-so, this is what person A said about you in spam!!!1". I mean seriously, if we just started removing things because someone is getting a little frustrated that they don't like what's happening somewhere and don't have the sense to just stay out of it, you might as well just start deleting threads left and right and shutting down servers because 'people don't like them'.

Who cares if people are making fun of eachother in the section. You decided to go there, you decided to get yourself in that path. You were warned both before you came in the section and even by looking at the threads you could see what it was about. If people in spam can joke about being made fun of, then I'm pretty sure it isn't that big of a deal.

Lones posts has a lot of my feelings about the issue. Wake border, if you don't like what people say/do in spam, DON'T GO IN. You're a nice person so anyone that calls you "a huge fucking douche faggot" clearly isn't serious(please excuse my language, but im just trying to make examples here). Ill call people names in spam, but outside of spam if you get to know me I'm a nice person.
If its really this bad that people can't just make the decision to not go in, make a blacklist for them so they just don't have the acess to view the board.

Really the only person that I can think of off the top of my head who acts the same in and out of spam is hogs. If someone flames you on steam, block them. If they flame you on the forums, ban them. I don't see what the problem is.

Spam wasn't removed because I think it's actually negative just as a heads up - I removed it because of stupid fucking arguments like these.

I agree that Spam should be brought back, and I know people hate rules in spam, but maybe a few added ones to keep us a little bit more sane.
It would be nice if there was a rule, or maybe just a suggestion, that any threads that contain nudity, porn, sexual content, or gore need to have something in their title stating that. I do realize Spam is like a game of Russian roulette and its our own damn faults for clicking the topic, but there are a good chunk of spam threads that don't contain those posts. A lot of the porn threads and such have misleading titles or are made into porn threads by other posters. If you don't want to force members to get detailed with the title on their content, maybe have small code names for it or just have them out a caution sign.
Which leads to another rule. If the above rule comes in to play, please have a rule saying that posters can't post porn in a non porn thread. Just keeps everyone's eyes safe.
I know I'm going to get whined at about how Spam shouldn't be regulated and you expose yourself to these things by clicking topics, but it would just be nice.
Also, if a user kindly asks you to take down a picture of them, specifically an unflattering picture, please be kind enough to take it down. Spam might not be serious, but feelings can get hurt. Just because everyone's free to let themselves go doesn't mean you have to be nasty and a dick. Even if spam isn't serious, it can affect people's view on you by what you post.

Don't go in spam, there shouldn't be exceptions to certain people who want to go in there and expect not to have a jimmie or two rustled. Sure sometimes I get frustrated while in there, but at the end of the day I just don't take it seriously and learn to laugh.
My advice to statua, wakeborder, and toxic zombie is if spam comes back, don't go inside of it as you three do not like what happens in there. Not to be rude, but it's just a good idea if you don't like what's said.

Spam is what it's name is. Spam. Why does it have to be removed for "arguments" when that's the point. If you're stupid enough to take anything inside spam seriously, especially the arguments that aren't even worth complaining or attempting to get spam down which was the case, then you need to stay the fuck away from it for a long time. There's no reason to whine for it to come down if you don't like what's going on within it. And judging the quality of the spam section's contents is so retarded. Bring it back.

I get what toxic's saying about the whole personal stuff, cause no matter what way you look at it (this is just an example, it's sort of happened but you know), posting someone's image they didn't want shared and then taking the piss out if it sort of falls outside of the "don't take this seriously", calling someone an asshole is one thing, ripping on someone's looks, who may or may not be insecure or just generally not comfortable with that sort of stuff is going to be taken personally whether you like it or not (it's different if your comfortable with your look and are happy to post it around the forums i guess)

This poll doesn't even has support from the owners, so no matter who wins be it yes/no it wont matter since the owners have already made there decision. All in all, this thread is just to argue back and forth about the removing of spam board, in the end, nothing will come of this.

So then they shouldn't go in spam, or at least not post. It's quite obvious who those "un-named people" are, but they really just shouldn't go in spam in the first place. No one is serious in there, but those "un-named people" don't understand that. If spam does come back, I say just blacklist those "un-named people" from entering just so they don't cause a bunch of problems again and no jimmies get rustled.

That's completely wrong. I removed it because while half of the community is capable of understanding the point of the board, not taking things seriously and actually having a good time, the other is not and therefore they whine like 8 year old children which I don't have the time to nor do I want to deal with. I want spam too but unfortunately a lot of people aren't mature enough to handle it.
Anyways, locking this. Spam won't be returning.

He may/may not have been referring to you, Cow. There are plenty of other people in spam besides you. Also, there were PLENTY of cases of people hiding behind the free speech aspect of the Spam forum in order to talk shit about people, as Nicknero said.
Does this mean I agree that Spam had to be removed? No. However, Toxic brought up some valid points. Having Spam independent from all forum rules has it's drawbacks in that people can get away with things like messing with Misty's pictures under the guise of "It's Spam, don't take it seriously". Just because there's no rules about being a dick doesn't mean you should be one. Spam should be a place where everyone can have fun, and to be honest, Spam started to resemble 4Chan a bit towards the end.
Also Cow, the one thing you and plenty of others do not understand, and KJUN has already mentioned this, no matter how many people nag them, the owners have made up their minds. Many people forget that Catalyst Gaming is a benevolent dictatorship, not a democracy, and the decisions that are made by the head of the bureaucracy are final. If they feel like relinquishing Spam, they will do it on their terms.
