Reason for the switch: Misclicked. Jaime is never meant to go to outlands, at best he's meant to have some contact through small correspondence here and there.

I'm not sure when it happened, but i have the strong feeling it must have been around a month ago. I must have misclicked and never bothered to appeal yet. You can feel free to check up on the character's activity since i have not used him on outlands at all

I don't necesarily agree with the weapons he picked (I fucking /hate/ the makarov and i would have replaced the AK 74 U with a more common SMG like the Mac-10 or Uzi) but i do agree with the tiered system and the idea of having a more varied and realistic weaponry system both for RP and for actual combat situations

Reason for the switch:
Mainly, i want to have her on City for now while Outlands is down, also to explore what City has to offer with one of my more story developed characters.

Proper story to explain the switch:

Joanna had been wandering for what seemed to be months... She had helped a great ordeal of people, from innocent civies to even rogue units at this point with her (still limited) medical skills.
Things had been quiet for a long time in the outlands, 3 months and counting where not even an OTA raid had ocurred... Something seemed off to her, but at the same time she did not want to get involved into a big faction clash once again.

It would have stayed that way if she hadn't heard of a rumour, a rumour coming from one of the city escapees from the new batch of refugees that had appeared in the pass, someone had sighted what they could only describe as a "green skinned creature" wearing a lab coat of some sort.
People in P3 thought it was some sort of thing that came out of the Nexus, but the description seemed all too familiar to her, an old Vortigaunt she knew by the name of Tekel.

She couldn't help herself after she heard these news, if Tekel was in the City she had to follow and make sure the Alien was ok, besides the fact it meant that there was something going on in the City, she wouldn't go there just because.

Without further ado, Joanna got in contact with the old contraband traders that existed in the outlands, she needed to get inside the City and she knew they had routes to bypass the city's guarded perimeter.
After an extensive talk and agreeing to repay the favour by helping their agents inside the city for a small ammount of time with medical aid, she was on her way .

The trip was arduous, and it took advantage of the oldest sewer systems that the City was no longer using, a dangerous route to take, specially because without maintenance the sewer tunnels could easily collapse.

It took nearly a week to navigate the old tunnels properly, making sure that her approach stayed hidden by keeping themselves to the less traveled routes, during the trip Joanna saw herself forced to use most of her medical supplies to take care of the group she was traveling with, making sure they stayed healthy while traveling the old and grimy sewage tunnels.
Once she got inside, she could finally start looking for her old friend... Who she could only hope was not in too deep on whatever was going on in City 45.

(Things She will not carry through to the City:
Her old Hidden blade. Stays in Outlands stashed somewhere safe.
A big chunk of the medical stuff she had: Used mainly in the trip to the city with the group.
Clothes, she'll have to replace them in order to pass undetected in the City.)

A little idea that's been in my mind for a while already, do hear me out.

We've all talked about what our characters were like before and after the 7 hour war. We've talked also about what happens to them during their time in the cities and outlands even... But, let's say for a moment that the rebellion actually won. Let's say that the world was back to a relatively normal state, with people regaining control of the Earth...

What would happen to your character then? (assuming he/she survives).

Go ahead and let your imagination fly, use a normal sentence or make a little story for it, it's your call.

I'm not sure about the rest yet but i know my main character would probably end up giving himself in after the war, basically to "answer for what he did" before the 7 hour war. Basically ending up in prision for at the very least 15 years (might develop that idea a bit more later)

I was under the impression your own characters could not interact with each other under any circumstances, unless Devil isn't your character which I have assumed.

Otherwise, decent character profile, has potential.

Devil isn't actually my character but Turrets, but she stopped playing on CG a long time ago, hence the dissapearing from outlands part.

Why do many people like giving their characters gas masks? Seems like another bulky item to carry around for little gain.

The Combine don't use chemical weapons. Or do they...?

Well, Devil gave me the mask, and i had one or two oportunities where i had to use it due to smoke or a hazardous enviroment.
It's filterless anyhow, so right now that mask serves at best as a way to protect his face

God damn you are addicted to those profiles, aren't you?

Looks good and all, but you can't be 19 or younger, as the UU killed everyone who was 17 or younger. Unless your character somehow "Evaded" the UU, you should have been killed in the city locating.

Yes... Yes i am. Also the fact i've been hiding clues in them as to what i want to do with my characters later on :P

20-ish (His age should be around 19 and 24, there's no way to tell as he cannot remember his birthday but he is still particularly young compared to the rest of the civilians in outlands, barely old enough not to be killed)

Character information:
Originally devised as a supportive character for 'Devil', William is not one of my most played characters but i've taken the time to give him a story of his own, while connected to my other characters through the usual matters, he's disconected to them in the way that he's not just a support for Eli or for Joanna, but more of a main character in it's own right that hasn't had it's time to shine yet. The more defenseless but equally as willing to help as any of them.

Character background:
Very little is actually known about William's life before the 7 hour war, this is mainly because thanks to what can only be speculated as head trauma he suffers from very accute amnesia. Only being able to remember his name thanks to the fact his old tanktop had the name stitched on it (Possibly from work or something of the like). Will found himself almost inmediately in Outlands, barely remembering much of anything. His first encounter with someone in outlands was with the woman nick-named 'Devil', who took pity on the poor kid as she noticed the condition he was in. She took him in and helped him "toughen up" to the outlands style, to some extent, and teached him about who was or wasn't important in Outlands, including her 'role-model' so to speak, The Stalker.
Thanks to his lacking memory, William ended up taking this strange group of people as family, Seeing Stalker (Who he came to known as Eli) as a fatherly figure in some cases. 'Devil' however slowly faded away as she finally dissapeared from Outlands, leaving William alone as he decided that if she left it was nothing he could stop. Being given a safe haven by Eli and Harley, William has been trying to recover his memory as well as understand and learn about the outlands and how to survive it from the people who he's slowly become attached to.
Quick in his decisions, hot headed and yet always trying to look out for the greater good, It's hard not to draw lines between Will's attitude and Eli's.
Will tries to abide his actions by what Devil taught him when she helped him survive. "To defend the helpless at all times, no matter the consequences, no matter the method."

- Well meaning
- Willing to go the full lenght to help someone, even if he's not the best at much things.
Bad
- Unwilling to admit he's not fully prepared
- Issues with his memory seem to also extend to recent memory as well, making him forget certain things easily.
- His methods are not always the most friendly.

- Small frame allows him to go through small creaks easily.
- Being young means that he's both energetic and quick with his movements.

- He's not muscular, or athletic, simply put he's an average person.

OH you'll see her and my other characters more in outlands allright. I'm going through a bit of a change stage atm. Basically, With my main (Eli) having to recover from the shit in the RP thread (which i want to hopefully keep IC) I'll /have/ to play other characters, for passive AND active RP. I'm also trying to finally pass some of the characters i don't use to other people, so they're not wasted. (IE: I'm trying to pass Harley to my boyfriend for him to play when HL2RP comes back up)

A character that exists mostly as a motherly figure when it comes to interactions with other people and as a help with anything and everything related to weaponry and mechanics when it comes to "use"

Character background:
Born in New Orleans, Martha was someone who never really took onto anything complicated, she simply focused on the simple but enjoyable things that she could do. She always had a "need" so to speak to challenge herself to learn new things, most of the time she attempted to learn on her own.
Her life was otherwise calm during all the time before the 7 hour war, she got married to the man she had been on and off with since high school, never had children (though not due to a lack of trying). Her husband was always an avid collector of firearms of all kinds, wether they were pistols, rifles, shotguns, he had a bit of everything. Always looking to spend more time with him, Martha took an interest in weapons as well, learning how to fire them, how to clean them, fix them, even learning how to jerry-rig and modify some parts of weapons. Though she never had any official training as she learned everything on her own, she became known as the best gunsmith in New Orleans, and perhaps even the whole state of louisiana.
After the 7 hour war hit, Martha was never able to acommodate to the city life, having to keep her little pasion for weapons hidden from the CCA as well as people who could have otherwise been dangerous. She ended up hooking up with a "caravan" of people who had decided to exit the cities and make something out in the outer rims of the cities, the places otherwise known as the outlands. With her unique set of skills she was a lot of help for them, but unfortunately they ended up disbanding after some harsh times. In the end, "Gunny Smith" ended up having rumours spread about her skill with weapons as she found a place to call home, simply looking to live in peace and enjoy one of the few things that she felt kept her close to her late husband.

8:04 PM - Elions: You get "A woman is walking around your area, she seems to have blood on her clothes and a dull expression. How do you react". Pick whichever character you preffer for this

8:06 PM - Elions Low footstep noises can be heard as the girl walks around the seemingly abandoned town. She appears to have her clothes messed up with blood, and her movements appear tiresome. She slowly passes close to you as she seems to wander without a set course
8:06 PM - Tray watches her wearily, calling out as she shambles by, "Miss, you okay?"
8:08 PM - Elions slowly turns her view towards the man, her expression can only be qualified as dull, perhaps from shock... Or because the blood is not in fact hers. "I'm... F-Fine..."
8:09 PM - Tray shakes his head, "You sure don't look fine, what happened?"
8:11 PM - Elions smiles lightly, she walks slowly towards him "Just... A very bad misunderstanding mister, that's all..." On closer inspection you can clearly notice that the woman is not in fact injured. She continues her slow walk towards you
8:12 PM - Tray moves his hand from his side onto his bayonet's sheath subtly, watching her edge closer, "Why don't you head into the inn? I reckon someone there can help wash your clothes."
8:15 PM - Elions she turns her head slowly to the Inn "Maybe... But you seem much better 'prepared' than they do." She leans in a bit closer "Besides... I know who you are mister... We have the same tendencies"
8:16 PM - Tray keeps his hand where it is on his sheath, raising a brow, "Do you know, missy?"
8:16 PM - Tray: now*
8:18 PM - Elions smirks, her hands on her back, away from his sight as she nods "Yep... You're no master of secrecy mate~" She attempts to relax him for a moment, her voice sounding a bit more soothing, understanding even
8:20 PM - Tray has had a few rodeos in his day, watching her hands more than her eyes or anything else, he hooks his thumb under the strap of his Mossberg, "That I ain't.
8:23 PM - Elions seems a bit proud on the man for not letting his guard down, straightening up and taking a few steps back "Well, i should go see where i can get these clothes washed... But i will see you soon, mister" She says this with a strange glee-ish tone to the words
8:23 PM - Tray pulls on the strap a bit, bringing the Mossberg more to his side, more reachable. "Mhm... try the inn, someone's bound to have a washboard."
8:25 PM - Elions nods, turning away from the man and putting both of her hands now to the front of her, making sure that he does not see them, walking towards the Inn
8:25 PM - Tray quickly walks around the Inn to the other entrance, enterring that way whilst the woman enters the opposite way.
8:26 PM - Tray: // Wait, how much is left?
8:26 PM - Elions: // just about done, one moment.
8:26 PM - Tray: // Righto.
8:29 PM - Elions She was already inside the Inn as Beans opens the door, leaving her entrance open and flicking the knife she was concealing on her hands upward, as Beans opens the door she throws it towards it. She attempts to make her escape as Beans is distracted by the knife flying towards him.
8:30 PM - Tray: // Would the knife like... stab into me, or fly beyond me?
8:31 PM - Elions: // i would expect it to get stuck on the door actually
8:31 PM - Tray: // Alright.
8:32 PM - Tray quickly slides himself to the side, the knife embedding itself into the door. He turns to see her running, he pulls out his bayonet, promptly chasing after her.
8:32 PM - Elions: Allright, we can end it here for now.

RESULTS:
Spoiler for Hiden:
  • Detail: Simple detail, making sure to note important things such as where his equipment is as well as where his attention is set on the other character. A
  • Lenght: Keeps the messages short for the most part, adding lenght to them where needed but otherwise attempting to keep it as short as possible while still maintaining detail. A
  • Logic: Kept the obvious danger of the situation in check while keeping his hand over his equipment in case of a struggle. The chase at the end however seems rushed as the woman would have had the advantage on the (known to have a peg-leg) Beans. It would have been better to inspect the knife to at least have some knowledge on the woman. B
  • Awareness: As stated before, Tray managed to maintain awareness of what the situation involved, without keeping his eyes away from the main center of attention, which should have been the woman's hands. Though he seems to have forgotten the idea that circling the Inn would have been difficult without being seen by her. B-
  • Respect: At no point did he go over the top or choose to overpower the woman, maintaining a more balanced out communication between them both. A+

Overall grade: A
Excellent Roleplaying skills, with "some" bumps to work out, but nothing that should be a worry
