I know this has to do something whit CCA/Combine, but please. Before you deny this, read it...

This is how I got the scanner:

It all started around 11 am 25/02/2012 when two guys named Cycle and Kane shot at a scanner, that's when I took the scanner head and dragged it into my camp or hiding place, then I started studying the scanner:

(Notice I removed all OOC chat so it did not look messy)
(Second notice, by scanner battery or scanner energy cell I mean they are the same things)
(Third notice, I already had a scanner battery that was approved by some admin, I really can't remember his name)

** Daeny Morrison looks in her backpack for the scanner battery she already had
** Daeny Morrison looks at the scanner for any red and black wire
** There are a lot of red and black wires attached to the scanner
** Daeny Morrison takes her knife out cutting some wires out of the scanner
**I accidentally deleted a scanner /me taking a photo at me D: sorry**
** Daeny Morrison connects a red and black
** Daeny Morrison looks up
Daeny Morrison yells "Shit!"
Dispatch broadcasts "Citizen reminder. Inaction is conspiracy. Report counter behaviour to a Civil Protection team immediately."
Ration dispeners, CCA locks, radios etc. are now saving. There may be some lag!

** C45.CCA.GRID-SCN.275 observes the citizen from the distance whilst making several beeping noises.

** C45.CCA.GRID-SCN.275 snaps a few pictures of the male.
** Daeny Morrison hides as the scanner is taking photos
** C45.CCA.GRID-SCN.275 scans the fallen UU scanner, snapping pictures of it.

** C45.CCA.GRID-SCN.275 slowly begins to hover away.

** Daeny Morrison climbs down the ladders

** Daeny Morrison sheaks her head


** Daeny Morrison takes the energy cell for second time

Dispatch broadcasts "Citizen notice. Failure to co-operate will result in permanent off-world relocation."
Biggest Derp In Game has connected to the server.

** Daeny Morrison connects the scanner battery using the wires to the scanner's bulb
** nothing happens
Daeny Morrison says "Hmmm... Seem's like the bulb isn't working anymore."

** Daeny Morrison takes the wires off from the bulb, she then connects them to a strange mechanism

** The mechanism starts moving, it's like a moving enginne

** Daeny Morrison smilles as the mechanism moves

** While the enginne moves, Daeny notices the gate arround the scanner's red eye starts opening

Daeny Morrison says "Wow! This is..."

** Daeny Morrison takes the scanner head up looking at the opening gate

Daeny Morrison says "Really intresting... Let me see... Wheres that battery..."

** Daeny Morrison unplugs the old scanner battery she already had looking for the new scanner battery
** Daeny Morrison takes her screw driver and knife

** Daeny Morrison places the knife at one side of the scanner battery
** Daeny Morrison stoarts hitting it whit the scrw driver
[LOOC] Daeny Morrison: Screw*
** Suddenly one side of the battery pops out of it's original place

** Daeny Morrison leaves her knife at the side of the scanner
** Daeny Morrison uses the scrww driver
Chang Wu says "I think that scanner went corrupt."

Chang Wu says "It pretty much rebooted itself."
Daeny Morrison says "7it After some mintes of unscrweing screws the battery falls down to the table"

** Daeny Morrison takes the battery whit no energy
** Daeny Morrison looks at it, she then places it at the side of her old scanner battery she already had
Chang Wu says "It went all weird, then it proceeded to perform an emergency reboot."

Daeny Morrison says "Well, I don't care if it rebooted, I am just stying it."
Daeny Morrison says "Look, take a look at this..."

** Daeny Morrison takes her old battery connecting it to a strange mechanism

** The strange mechanism looks more of a little enginne, but it then starts moving

Daeny Morrison says "Wooo!"

** The scanner eye starts closing and opening whit no control
Daeny Morrison says "The scanner enginne is still working!"
Chang Wu says "Huh!"
Daeny Morrison says "Although, whit out a computer, I can't controll it."

Daeny Morrison says "And, I also got it's battery out."

Chang Wu says "Yeah."
Daeny Morrison says "I'm going to charge it at a terminal, I just need another of this wires..."

** Daeny Morrison points at the old battery she already had
** Theres a purple wire comming out of it

Daeny Morrison says "I got it from one of does combine pumps."

Chang Wu says "Huh."
Chang Wu says "So..."
** Daeny Morrison takes the two energy cells up


Daeny Morrison says "I'll be right back... I'm going for some wire... Can you keep an eye at this scanner?"

Chang Wu says "Okay."

** Daeny Morrison jumps over the wcar sprinting off

** Daeny Morrison takes off the old purple wire she had from that last battery

** Daeny Morrison carefully plugs it into the battery she just found

Dispatch broadcasts "Citizen reminder. Inaction is conspiracy. Report counter behaviour to a Civil Protection team immediately."

** Daeny Morrison quickly crouches pluging the purple wire down of the combine terminal leaving the old scanner energy cell hidden
** Daeny Morrison runs off the area
** Daeny Morrison climbs down the ladder, as she lands a "Cack" can be heard.
Daeny Morrison says "Ah shit! They almost saw me connecting it to that terminal..."
Daeny Morrison says "Well, atleast I could connected it. Now, I need to wait about 3 days so it charges up."
Chang Wu yells "Hey Vortigaunt!"
Vin' Firoh yells "// HAI"
Chang Wu yells "OW!"

Daeny Morrison yells "Vin! I need you'r help in something!"

** Vin' Firoh leaps down.

** Daeny Morrison jumps into the cars roof

Daeny Morrison says "Some one shot at this scanner and I was able to get the head..."

Daeny Morrison says "I've been studing it, and the enginne is still woorking."

Daeny Morrison says "I already conected it to a old scanner battery I had and it did started..."

** Vin' Firoh holds his hand to it, and begins emitting a green beem at its powercore.
[LOOC] Chang Wu: Beems? They make honeh?
** Suddenly the strange engine starts moving, making the eye open and close
** The scanner flicks to life.
Daeny Morrison yells "Awesom!"

Daeny Morrison says "Alright, I don't want you to over heat it... So please stop..."

Daeny Morrison says "Let me see... I must extract this engine out..."
[LOOC] Daeny Morrison: Do you think i need to make a hole authorization app just for this?
** [6'4|Blue Eyes|Short, ...] seems to grow red, a flood of words spill out of his mouth. "I walked past this place then walked down here and saw a str-
[LOOC] Vin' Firoh: Well, what are you planning to do with it?
** [6'4|Blue Eyes|Short, ...] rubs his arm, feeling somewhat bad.
[LOOC] Daeny Morrison: For now, I'm just planning on keeping the engine and a battery cell i got out of it
[LOOC] Daeny Morrison: But maybe in the future i may want to do something whit it

** Daeny Morrison starts getting all the screws that are holding the engine
** [6'4|Blue Eyes|Short, ...] approaches the car, leaning on it, he doesnt really feel a place to belong but continues to watch regardless.
** Some parts starts poping out of  the scanner body

** Daeny Morrison takes her knife up placing it in one side of the scanner
** Daeny Morrison starts hitting on side of the scanner untill the enginne pops out of it
** [6'4|Blue Eyes|Short, ...] leans over the car, watching the dissembling of the device.
Daeny Morrison says "There we go!"
** Daeny Morrison smilles taking her knife back to her pants
** Daeny Morrison takes the screw driver back to her backpack

** Daeny Morrison carefully takes the enginne up
** It is still attached to the scanner eye
Daeny Morrison says "Ah god! I forgot!"

** Daeny Morrison unclips her little bag out of her belt

** Daeny Morrison takes out from it a scanner energy cell

** The energy sell has a red and black wire attached to it

** The engine suddenly starts moving, making the scanner eye open and close

What will these authorizations give your character in regards to perks or defects?
Perks
Being able to retrieve a scanner working engine
One new scanner battery

Defects
I need to look for a good hiding spot for the engine so people can't find it.
An extra IC item on my bag (scanner battery)

What do you plan to do with these perks/defects?
I'm currently still thinking on what to do whit the engine, as for the battery I can give a lot of different uses, such as giving power to a old flashlight or bulb many little things like that.

I think an exception for the CCA/Combine denied auths must be done because it was all IC.  (The reason I modified it, was because not all the text or /me's were correclty coppied just half of them were)

 I don't think you can get anything such as scanner batteries, scanner engines out from using authorizations. For something much more larger authorizations such as character models, special abilities (close quarters combat), that kind of thing.

Applications will be reviewed over a period of days and the final decision will rest on multiple factors.  All HL2RP Super Administrators have the ability to accept and deny applications, and may override another decision with justifiable reason.

Restrictions:
No authorizations will be given via authorization applications for be the following:

• Stalker
• Strider
• Any other NPC
• Any canon character
• Black Mesa employee/Black Mesa knowledge
• SYNTH Units
• Any flag (Tool Trust Applications are separate, those are the only flags gained by application)
• Weapons/Ammunition
• Resistance Vests
• Special/Psychic Powers
• Anything related to the CCA/Combine
• Hunter
• Vehicles (Jeeps, etc)

I think scanner parts fall under the list mentioned above, but ultimately its up to a HL2RP: Super Admin

However, I still think about denying this because combine technology is MUCH MUCH more advanced then you think. Normal citizens like you would never be able to get anything useful out of combine technology.

No, because scanners use nothing that we know on earth. What engine? Scanners don't use engines... <.< They use energy cores. Somewhat like plasma providing energy to make everything work. No one knows exactly how they work, and that is exactly the thing.

Combine technology is thousands of years further then our own. It's impossible to learn it.

Sure, you would be able to break a scanner apart and scavenge the core. But you won't be able to use it for anything.

I won't be offering my -support for this application because what the character has learned from their electrical engineering degree would offer nothing in the way of operating the highly advanced technology of the Combine.

Sure, you would be able to break a scanner apart and scavenge the core. But you won't be able to use it for anything.

Well then... If scanners do not work whit any kind of engine and they work whit a core, you said I could scavenge the scanner, I could get the energy cells. I could get the core, but I would not be able to use it, but I would be able to use it as a decoration part.

Another thing... Are you sure I can't study the combine technology? I mean, I would need to do a lot of tests and it would take a lot of time and I'm sure I would need the help of different people that knows about technology...

Well, actually yes. The people in the seven hours war couldn't win against the combine technology, that was because they did even had a chance to take a look at it , but now that all of that has happened. People have an opportunity  for studying the combine technology and I don't see why someone can't start studying a scanner, it would be an opportunity for better understanding.

The issue isn't that you can't do it, its that even if you had these parts you'd have no use for them because you do not yet understand combine technology, so im suggesting you attempt to acquire an auth of 'Basic understanding of combine technology' to go hand in hand with this authorisation, that way you may actually get some use out of what your applying for.
