Rex Armstrong, born as William Armstrong, January 5th, 1965 in Columbus, Ohio, is an American actor, screenwriter, film director, producer, and former singer. Armstrong has been notable for his roles in the 1984 movie "Red Dusk" and the 2009 movie "The Artemis Assault". Through the 1980s until their dissolve in 2001, Armstrong was the lead singer in the famous rock band "CR" which stood for "Carter Reagan" named after the 39th and 40th US Presidents.

Career

Armstrong started his career as a model in Columbus, Ohio. He modeled for several magazines and products. He later took his talent and starred in a play of William Shakespeare's "Hamlet", where he was discovered by famous Hollywood director Mac Fullerton. Fullerton auditioned Armstrong for a role in his upcoming movie "Red Dusk". Armstrong got the role as a college student in Colorado trying to survive a World War III invasion by the Soviet Union, and starred in what would be the best movie in his career.
In 1985, upon reaching fame, Armstrong started the band "CR" where he was the lead singer. The band released seven albums, their most notable one being "From Love, with Russia". In 2001, the band dissolved, and the members wen't their ways.
Armstrong starred in several other films, including the 1995 crime action-drama "Los Angeles Beats" and the 2003 romantic comedy "Ups and Downs". Armstrong's second best film was the 2009 action sci-fi "The Artemis Assault" where Armstrong starred as a Space Navy Officer on board the space fleet vessel called the "FNS Artemis".

Personal Life

Armstrong is born to Jewish father Philip Armstrong and Protestant mother Emily Herrera. Armstrong is one of three other siblings. The eldest sibling, Jake Armstrong, was the one who encouraged Rex to become an actor. Armstrong has admitted to being Agnostic.
Armstrong is known to be a frequent drug abuser and womanizing playboy. Since the start of his fame, Armstrong has been known to do cocaine and marijuana out of influence from other celebrities. In 2006, Armstrong survived a drug overdose of cocaine. Upon being discharged from the hospital, Armstrong wen't to rehab and learned how to remain sober.
Armstrong's love life consists of one night stands and occasional prostitutes. Armstrong has never married and intends not to. This has been a center of controversy among several feminist groups and parent associations who believe that Armstrong could be a bad influence on his fans.

Seven Hour War

After the Combine invaded and conquered the Earth, Los Angeles was turned into City 7. Armstrong was taken from his Beverly Hills mansion, given citizenship, and was relocated to City 45. Armstrong would occasionally run into a few citizens who would recognize him, and a few citizens who were fans of him.
Armstrong is experiencing a very tough withdrawal from cocaine, as he never actually stopped after going to rehab. With the presence of the Combine, finding cocaine was made very hard.
