Well, for one you have an Intel motherboard and an AMD CPU. You could easily downgrade to 8GB of RAM(Unless you do video editing, modeling, or something like that). I'd say get a GTX 600 series GPU, too. The price is going to be dropping A LOT since the 700 series came out. Also, an Intel ivy bridge CPU would do good. It's cheap now that Haswell has been released. If I get time I'll throw together a build.

Only problem I am having is that it won't run GTAIV. But I think that is an error on the engine, it crashes my pc... :/  This thing runs Crysis 3 max settings btw.

You have a smaller resolution than I do. Do you still run games on ultra?

the HD 7850 is a great card ignore people who recommend overpriced nvidia cards because itll cost more than amd cards when amd cards are just as good, definitely if you compare them price vs performance

the fx 4100 is really not worth it compared to an amd phenom x4 which is a great card and the only amd fx cpus that even beat their old phenom cpus are the fx-8 series

these are my specs:

Yes I do.  I just have it set to smaller so I can see the hud for games and such.

Like abbott said dont listen to all those Nvidia fan boys. My system will outperform systems with 680's in them

Here's the inside of it.
Spoiler for Hiden:

Your system you have picked out there will do just fine. I'd get like a 800 watt psu and a motherboard that has two 16x PCI-e lanes in them so if you want two gpu's and get extra performance out of your system you can.

System Specs
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3
CPU: AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core processor @ 4.6 ghz
RAM: AMD Radeon™ RP1866 Performance Series 16GB
PSU: Ultra X4 750W
GPU: EVGA GTX 780 Superclocked + PNY GTX 550 TI for physx core

If you give us a budget we can build a more up to date build off of what we have here. Like I said in my first post, the build you have won't work as you have an intel motherboard and AMD cpu.

I think I would be willing to spend around $1,000 to $1,250 once I get my money saved up.

I'm not sure how long you're waiting, but if it's a long time away then you'll probably be able to upgrade the components.

Here's a build I put together for you. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/14KSU

I'm not really sure if you need any extra expansion cards, a monitor, etc. If you do need something else just tell me and I'll modify the build. I can also add a SSD in there as a boot drive if you want. I'd have to change some stuff around to keep it under $1200, though.

First of all, Thank you very much and would it be necessary to have 16 gb of ram or an i7 intel quad core?

Here's an AMD alternate that has more included with the deal but 100$ more.

Altered Warren's list and put in the Phenom X4 965 Black (AMD FX-8 CPUs are effectively 4 core CPUs with 8 logical cores instead at a higher price, and the Phenom is still great if not slightly better if you are just going to be gaming on your PC), 8GB RAM (you don't need 16GB for a gaming pc) and a MSI 7850 twin frozr 2GB OC (because the 7850 can run just as good as the 7870 when overclocked and is just amazing for overclocking as it can be pushed way beyond it's stock speeds). Overall it is a cheaper build for just as good performance.
