I'm excited to see how many people are on all day. I'll keep track on my phone at work during break and lunches, but when I get home the server better be populated! :)

Regarding Refunds

I've been getting a shit ton of PM's about refunds, but only a few with proper evidence. Please, if you want a refund of something, get proper evidence.

To those of you who have proper evidence, i will refund you within the next week.

Please be patient. There still issues with the gamemode, and we're working on it.
Please do not add me on Steam because you have in-game problems. Make a thread in the correct board on the forum and i will respond to that whenever i have time.

A patch has just been applied to both of the servers.

I understand that not everything has been fixed, but I've done as much as possible today. A patch will also roll out tomorrow as we fix the rest of the issues.

I've read through all of the changes and I'm amazed, though I've found some things that made me wonder. I've put replies to the original changes underneath them.

Full change log
  • Made it so the tax is set to 0% when the mayor resigns or leaves the server.
    • In my opinion, 0% taxes should be removed. What city would have no taxes? (realistic perspective) A city will always need taxes from the citizens to protect them or provide other services. But then again, this is based on solely the fact that the mayor may sometimes not have enough city funds - and that'd mean no fuel and what not for the government officials.
  • Added a bodyguard job. Their job is to protect the mayor 24/7. They are supposed to drive the mayor around with the buffalo they can retrive from the NPC in the garage. They are also equipped with a powerful USP and kevlar protection.
    • Nice, but I was a little disappointed to read that these bodyguards were limited to only one car, the buffalo. Perhaps additions should be possible, maybe the mayor could spawn a vehicle for his own bodyguard. (since only citizens can spawn cars and I doubt a mayor is classified as a citizen)
  • Removed the mayor donation box.
    • Supposedly this may have been added because people would donate to the city by buying energy drinks and the whatnot, but now that it is removed keep in mind that there may still be ways to 'donate'. So personally I'm not sure if removing it, rather than limiting it was a good idea.
  • You now get KO'ed if you exit a vehicle going 30-60 MPH.
  • You now get killed if you exit a vehicle going more than 60 MPH.
    • Does above mean that once someone is 'ejected' out of their car because you shot it and blew it up mean they will be killed or knocked unconscious at certain speeds?
  • Government cars can now run out of gas. You can refill them at the gas station, and the money will be charged from the city. If there’s no money in the city, no refill.
    • Maybe there should be an option to pay for the gas out of your own paycheck/pocket. Also, hopefully the mayor can limit this so that it will not be abused by certain individuals.
  • Added a menu for officers to fine citizens. Money is added to the city funds. Press F3 on a player to open the fine menu.
    • What if one is unable or simply does not pay the fine? And are there limits to how much one can be fined for?
  • Fixed being able to do infinity mayor broadcasts.
    • Just to be sure, there's still enough to go around, right? Could one please elaborate on what this means and how it is limiting broadcasts? It's quite vague.
  • Made it so that the menu for search/trade requests does not interrupt you. You will have to press your mouse cursor button to interact with the menu now.
    • I haven't seen how this works but I'd like to suggest something GMTower similiar, where it requests you to trade rather than it pops up.
  • If your RP name consists of more than 12 characters, it will cut your name down to 12 characters and add 2 dots to the end of it. Only in the HUD display.
    • Perhaps it should shorten the first name rather than the last name as first names are more common. Take Danny Matthews as an example, maybe limit it to D. Matthews?
  • The repair wrench has been removed. Use the tow truck drivers to have your vehicle towed to the repair NPC in the industrial, or have a friend help you out with their truck.
    • What if there are no tow truck drivers?


Edit: Also I just noticed you claim everything was reset but we still have some of the old achievements :>

  • New AFK system.
    • Does this also disable playtime from counting? If not, I suggest it should..
