Drugs does not equal cop buff. The reason people do drugs in games is because punishment. Proper punishment should be handed out for drug busts ... n0t just 20 seconds in a jail...
The reason people do drugs is to make money, and be raided by cops so they can own them because they know they outnumber cops 5/1 every time. They also look for ooc drama when shit goes south with cop raids.

If your gunna do it like that, add a request form/call feature in-game. So you can contact them and have them fix whatever. If theres a pluming problem in an apartment, you shouldn't leave to get them, they should come to you, yes?

If players want drugs so bad then cops need to get buffed/OPed as fuck. On OCRP cops never had a good advantage over the drug game. Players always had crews that out numbered the cops. They always had a building that was tactically sound for defense. And the MP5/AK-47 were the common choice of weapons, in which they could easily fuck shit up since they were decently scripted. So if yall want drugs there needs to be negative effects, like a shit ton. Enough to discourage you from doing them.

Sad face, not sure why you lock it. Ummm, ima post anyways. I like the idea. Its simple as fuck, and thats kind of what we need right now. Sure later down if the server keeps its players and starts to grow we can grow the MPF into a more elaborate force, adding 'devisions' etc. But for a reset and new start, this is a pretty straight forward way.
imo no need to lock the thread as its still relevant until the HL2RP devs/owner say other wise. Every post is valued no mater if the op think it is or not.

Is anyone here thinking of a reset at all? I'm not sure if they saved our characters from the past or not, but does anyone want to reset and start fresh? Or do yall just want your characters back?
Its going to be reset for many reasons. And I'm fairly certain waffle wants it reset anyway..
Okay,well with that said... How is the city going to be run w/o UU factions... If no one has their characters, then no one will be Units/City Admins/CWU etc
starting the applications up maybe a week before the server's actually open could work
Would still need someone to already have a unit for the training etc.

Imo Application 2 seems to be the best, it has straight forward questions that you need to know and doesn't have un-need questions like application 1. Sure App 2 needs say 10 more questions, but lets keep the applications direct and remove all the BS that's in App 1. Lets also keep in mind the player base that will most likely be having. Games nowadays are starting to have a younger community. Don't expect that the players for the upcoming HL2RP server is going to have late year teens/adults. Expect that the player base will have early year teens, if not pre teens. So lets keep thing simple for them to understand and enjoy. We shouldn't be making servers for us whose here, but for those that will join the community later. Now this is just my opinion and view on it. Obviously there will be people that disagree.

I tell ya what, if aether was ever updated and someone made a standalone server with just that mod... I'd think it be a pretty good hit. Although I post this knowing that we wont take the time to update the mod pack etc etc, just throwing in my two cents.

Your all welcome to post your opinions, but lets not start a un-needed argument for W7vsW8+ and etc. He can easily google the differences and find what OS to use. He can also use google to fine numerous forums sites with the same debates about which is better.

I can see where your going with this, but I personally would rather play arma wasteland. It has factions, nice guns, vehicles (better then wac or scars imo) and nice maps to choose from. In all honesty I don't think Alaskan will go for this. But all we can do is wait and see what he says.

If your going to add it, make it around 6-10mil. (ridiculous, maybe, but a good money sink) If a player wants it that bad, they will most likely donate thus bringing more profit to Alaskan which will probably help out the community further. 2nd and highly unlikely option is that someone (like myself) might dedicate a year to playing OCRP2 to get their money from playing and not donating. The price of something like this should be around 3-4 times the amount of the veyron. This of course is my opinion.

A think a good way to keep the abuse down would be to keep it a solid fine (~$100-200) and have all the money go to the government.
I like this. I hate servers that put money from citations in the players pocket.
Cops make enough money as it is, the money should go into the gov.
