Trance
« on: April 20, 2011, 03:50:13 PM »
Trance is a genre of electronic dance music that developed in the 1990s. It's generally characterized by a tempo of between 125 and 150 bpm, repeating melodic synthesizer phrases, and a musical form that builds up and breaks down throughout a track. It is a combination of many forms of music such as techno, house, industrial, new age, pop, chill-out, ambient, electronic art music, classical music, and film music. Taken from Wiki

Is there a specific sub-genre of trance you prefer?  Or just trance as a whole?

Ive been a massive fan of the Trance scene since I was about...11 or 12, mostly due to my mum.  Im now 26 and still love it.

Personally, im a massive fan of late 90's, early 2k trance, but im also in vocal, progressive, and hell, ALL of it.

Here's a few of my personal favourites from ranging across the years:

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYqrEp6i-JQ" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYqrEp6i-JQ</a>

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9u6jKV9TPLc" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9u6jKV9TPLc</a>

I could honestly sit here all day and list more, but those will do for now.  Be warned, if you insult this music, you may live to regret it :p

Fixed your youtube links. The tag is youtube, not yt.

Kind of a bump here but hey, gotta have my word right?

One of the better trance DJs I know, and knowing he's from my country I can't help but feel a little proud  ::)
