For the rank smooth out the owner text so it's less jagged and make the mini CG logo less blurry

The rank picture needs to be redone, though. I guess the logo on the left is soon going to become the former one, replace it with your new C and G. If you're sure about keeping the border, please make it thinner. I also think you should stick with the same background - the large version of the logo uses a nice smooth linear gradient, yet the rank image utilizes a different one.

That sounds cool but I don't think it'll actually turn out that good.

I voted for option 2 because it looks better, a lot more symmetrical with the colors I guess.
