I have nothing against piracy. You can download whatever music you want, but if you like a band very much, just support them by buying an album from them for a change, or going to their concert. It will give them enough money to keep up with their awesome work (Making more albums) but it doesn't cost you a backbone.

Let them pass the bill. Because all they're going to do, is create chaos around the world. Why? Censorship, they're going to censor websites that go against what the government wants.
Which is a good thing if you support the Occupy X protests.
ALSO a nice little exploit.
You can ruin websites, even major ones, by purposely placing pirated software on the website. Which then = LOL WE CAN SUE YOU.
There is a major chance that it would not happen, but eventually, it will.

I just wanted to reply to a post earlier in the thread about Canada would follow if America does this... No, Canada would not.
Although Americans may not seem to realize this, Canada has said "fuck you" (in terms) numerous times when they try and tell us what we should stop or do. (Copyright laws being one of them, and even delaying a proposed pipe-line. [We said we'll look into selling to Asia if you wish to delay.])
And yes, someone did mention before that America seems to be becoming much like a totalitarian government as they want to control the media and the way the country thinks, which hell.. could result in another war, as that is exactly how Hitler was able to start it.

The post that was made was most likely around John Winthrop's term "City Upon a Hill." American is the example, and history has proven time and time again that most of the world - that includes Canada - usually follows us. And not only that, but it's sort of like :
"Well America did it so it must be okay." - Some foreign nation.

Censoring what can be done online makes the first amendment inert, so why should the bill of rights or anything similar be considered to be more than crusty toast and jam? Besides, how do they plan on doing something on such a massive scale? How can this even be considered, as its a joke. Its impossible to enforce, it makes our rights inert, its spending money on what would probably damage the economy anyways, and just generally foolish.
