Dayz server?

Dayz Is modded arma 2 with zombies but you must survive players and zombies and you need food and water to live. I think making a dayz server would be fun.

In my honest opinion, a CG DayZ server would be just like our CSS server:  For the first few days, a bunch of DayZ enthusiasts and curious members would join and play on it then, after a week or so, it never be populated again.  A good reason for this is that there are HUNDREDS of DayZ servers.  How would ours stand out?

As long as the server has good ping it will have a lot of players.

Now that private hives are released I would more consider this if there is enough people. I've set one up for a friend and I and know them pretty well. Just putting that out, it's possible for us to have 100% control over the server.

Getting an official server, in my opinion, would be worse than getting a private hive. You have less control over the server with an official server, and with private hives you can set up anti cheats and whatnot.

RTLK, Public hive servers are downright retarded. Have you read the rules on them? I'm not allowed to ban who I want from my server. I have to have proof FOR MY SERVER.

Private hives are the way to go.

I havent played DayZ for ages. Perhaps I would again if we get our own server.

I'd def play if not everyone went generibadassbanditnigga, but I doubt that'd be the case.

I play DayZ A LOT with CG active peopel (WRECKFTW, JANBRO, and COW will be joining our squad soon). I play public servers, on one server we have tents with some guns n gear, tractor with some guns n gear, and 2 motorbikes. However on the other public server, we have around 5-6 tents (Full of weps, ammo, everythin we need), Helicopter, and ofcourse a URAL.

 I would prefer if this server was Private Hive, as someone77 says, it would be easier to control, community would be friendly(I hope ) and I wouldn't want to move from my base on another public server.

 So again, I SUPPORT PRIVATE HIVE (if it happens)

Should be cool, you can also combine mods for example: ACE 2.0 and DayZ (It's really cool) which had the animations, weapons, etc. from ACE, but with zombies and whatnot.

I have never tried the ace mod but I heard it is really cool and adds a lot more realism, I never knew you could combine the two. I would defiantly want to see this happen.
