KJUN you coulda just replied lol. Im like, unofficially in the org. I consider it more of a group as orgs are different and we're kinda supposed to break ties anyway and not use /org chat and... yeah.

Give cops the item to clean up blood :D

Usually depending on the players maturity level... The cops either do have time to clean up blood but usually they don't while on the other hand the Fire/Paramedics have a lot of down time.

Suggestions / Parking tickets
« on: November 14, 2013, 06:01:20 PM »
Add a swep for police to issue parking tickets which become inventory items for the violator.  The violator cannot drive until the ticket is paid off.  To prevent cars that have been involved in accidents from getting ticketed add a system that stops a car that has moved after the driver gets out from getting ticketed.

To add another element to the mayor's role allow the mayor to set the ticket prices instead of the cops.

I have a couple more in depth ideas

Option 1) If a person disagrees with the fine the mayor can "pardon" them and void the ticket.  OR The violator can "ask for a supervisor" and the police chief can pardon the ticket.

Option 2) The person can opt to decline the fine. (Although then people even with legit tickets could just deny it.  An auto-warrant system would not work because them non legit tickets would still punish people)

----------------------------------------------

This way when people illegally park instead of getting towed by a non existent tow truck driver (there are always none online.) There is a way to punish them.

I recommend allowing the mayor to set the ticket price instead of the cops.  Also I prefer option one above than option 2.

----------------------------------------------

PREVENTING ABUSE OF THE TICKET SYSTEM:

1) Any player abusing the system will receive a blacklist from the police job and a ban from OCRP.

2) A cool down between when tickets can be issued. (Lower cooldown times for VIP and lower for Gold)

3) See option 1 and 2.

4) The player must specify a reason in a text field when the GUI window for issuing a ticket appears.

Adding 2 seats in the back and changing top speed to 60mph. I dont think anyone can complain about that.

This sounds good and would go well with your suggestion.

If we are going to go with the idea of bringing people back to the hospital we MUST add at least one seat to the ambulance so that there is room for a pt along with 2 medics.  I myself like riding with two people per ambulance to ease the 10 year olds mic spamming 'HEALZ PLZ HEAL ME PLZ NOW NOW NOW!!!"  It also makes it easier to reivive people and increases the chances of survival as well as decreasing the amount of ambulances on the road.

But a major +Support as my favorite things to do in OCRP is Medic, firefighter and cop.

I know that it would be the coroners job to get dead bodies but is it really worth the time to code in a new job that players will quit as soon as there is no more bodies?  Its the same reason a lot of people don't do EMS or fire until things get REALLY bad.  They do not like sitting around and doing passive RP.  I myself along with Kjun and Statua were (are?) in an org called Station 9 which was a serious RP EMS org and we were primarily the only ones that actually stayed as fire and paramedic because we would passive RP together.

I'm still in the org afaik-KJUN

I want to revive this topic as it has basically been accepted but this was before OCRP died.  This would be an amazing idea and I fully support it.  It would add the ability for EMS to remove blood and bodies which will make everything much nicer and still give them a reason to go to a place where someone died after the death timer has expired.

Suggestions / Item bank "saftey deposit box"
« on: November 12, 2013, 11:19:04 PM »
Create a new option in the bank like the org bank which has limited space for free but for a fee can be expanded to hold more items.  This would allow people to store their belongings there which makes more sense than carrying them all on your person.

Also you could then allow police to confiscate any weed or drugs a person has on their person.  This would make crimeRP more risky and in order for people to safeguard their drugs they would need to store them inside the bank.

Right now police can search people's inventory but there is no reason to.  With this it would add more functionality.  When a person gets arrested they are normally searched in real life and any contraband is confiscated.  With this system we can add a balanced way to make crimeRP more risky and help police enforce the laws.

The best part is that no "serious RP" is forced on the players because whether or not the police search the person being arrested is up to them.  If they don't want to do it then they don't have to.

Overall this would

1) Add a safe place to store items (more space can be bought like the org bank)
2) Make crime RP more risky
3) Is balanced and does not make cops overpowered as the crimeRPers can store contraband in the bank.
4) Allows more RP for people that want it without forcing it on the players.  In other words the functionality is there but the RP is up to the players.

Both of these are in my medic improvement thread btw. I think I said 60 or 65 as the top speed OR increase death timer.

I know but I did not want to necropost and there was a general unsupportive stigma there.

« on: November 12, 2013, 04:44:53 PM »
1) The ambulance is to damn slow.  It goes a top speed of around 40 mph.  This is way to slow the ambulance needs to go at least 70mph.  Otherwise by the time you get there the pt is DOA.

2) Add a seat or two to the back of the ambulance for a pt.  There are only two seats right now which only accommodates the medics. (Better to ride two medics in one bus.)

I got my EMT-B with AMR which was a 11-13 week program. Before graduation we had our NREMT test, then we graduated, then I moved to work with AMR for a small time, then was moved to a stationary position at a hospital as a EMT. After that I got I-85 and moved up to I-99 and then left, and started working for the FD. Got certs to be a firemen, and then now I'm looking at getting back with AMR or maybe medic west. Out here in the states the only long term collage program would be paramed. Which i believe can be done in 1 1/2 years (I'm sure they have classes that are made to speed through it so its cut down to a year if not less.)

What would you say looms better on a resume when applying for emt jobs; a cert from an ambulance company/hospital or one from a community college?  Or does it not matter?  If you get the cert through a company does it help set you up for a job with that company?

sorry to be asking so many questions but I was wondering if the ambulance companies or hospitals have a kind of support program for emts or paramedics for after bad calls or when you can't bring someone back that coded?  Or are you trained what to do in these situations?  My uncle became an emt and eventually drove the ambulances as well but quit due to the mental stress from people during in front of him.
