Oliver D. Satrina's Civil Authority Application

1) Please write a minimum of 3 paragraphs OOC'ly detailing why your character wishes to join the Combine Civil Authority and what lead your character to do so.
 Oliver would be lying to you if he said he didn't like the police. He loved them. They saved his life when he was a child and the CCA saved his life as a man. He had respected them ever since an officer of the law had saved him from a life of drug abuse, a life of crime, and a terrible, slow death. Oliver had many friends as a child, but he had started following the wrong crowd after his mother had died of a Cocaine overdose. He started doing drugs, he started drinking, he started stealing. All that changed when he was arrested and put into a rehab program.

 The officer who arrested him became his mentor, this officer was named John C. Callahan. If you saw Oliver on the weekends after the program, you would see him with John, who everyone knew as Cal or Calvin because of his last name. Oliver knew that if he didn't get out of a life of drugs, he'd die in a life of drugs. So he trusted John. If John hadn't helped, Oliver would die. His 'friends' died one by one of drug abuse and drunk driving cases. He was the last of them. And he was sober. He was sober ever since he was fourteen.

 John was Oliver's best friend. When the portal storms began, John was killed almost as he was seen. He was on patrol in his squad car, the same one that Oliver had ridden in as a child. His death was slow and painful. A knife to the stomach, shots to his knees and elbows, a brutal beating and a shot in the head. Oliver saw John just before he died. As he was being loaded onto a helicopter with destination unknown.

3) Please provide 2 paragraphs about what you are expecting the Combine Civil Authority to be like for you and your character.
I'm expecting it to be fun and rewarding, but still great and enriching roleplay. I will still FearRP with higher up units such as SeCs and CmDs, and I may even get to be a higher rank myself. I've seen so many great roleplay situations where CCA units were attempting to detain a suspect and the suspect resisted, even ran a few times. Those situations usually ended up in the suspect being caught during the ration cycle or because of another Sociostability Infringement.

I have a CCA unit on another server (it went down at the end of the year last year), so I know many of the protocols and have gone through training before. I expect CG to be a bit different, maybe even a bit harder, but I will still love it. My CCA character probably won't take priority on my other characters, as I am trying to craft a resistance character. I know what to do when detaining suspects (attempt to tie, radio in warning of suspect, bring suspect into detainment, write suspect's information down on paper), and if I am ever fired upon, I know I am supposed to roleplay the shots with /me and STM unless both parties agree to STK. I hope to have a lot of fun and a lot of good roleplay.


4) Please provide a detailed back-story from an out-of-character perspective on your applying character. This section must be detailed and consist of a minimum of 300 words.
 Oliver has always looked up to law enforcement and military members, knowing that they keep the peace and do what has to be done. His grandfather and his great-grandfather before him were both in the Military and earned distinctions in World War 1's European campaign and World War 2's Pacific campaign. His father didn't join the military or police because he had a family to raise. With Oliver's two brothers and sister, things could get pretty hectic. His family wasn't a poor family, but wasn't middle class, either. His family was in that awkward place between poor and poorer.

 With bills piling up, Oliver's mother began drinking and doing drugs heavily, eventually ending her life in an overdose of Cocaine and Jack Daniel's Lucky Number 7. Oliver knew that 7 was never to be his lucky number and C was never to be his lucky letter. By the time he was 13 he was drinking and gambling his life away, but one day, sitting with his stupid so-called friends, they were all arrested and put into a rehab program. Oliver's father was dissapointed in him so terribly that he attempted suicide with a 44. Magnum. It ended up that the bullet had only broken his father's skull. Oliver was let out of the program to visit his father in the hospital, and when he arrived, his father was in critical condition. Doctors had preformed 19 straight hours of surgery on his father and concluded that his father had taken 2+ grams of cocaine before trying to kill himself. Oliver knew it was his fault. He appologized to his father, who six months later, took him out of the program and moved into a quiet suburb of Colorado.
 
 Oliver was a straight edge kid after that, not wanting to cause any more harm to his family or friends. He left his 'friends', who died off one by one because of various overdoses and drunk driving cases. He attended all of their funerals and grieved with their parents, who came to know him as 'The one who survived'. Not long after the 4th funeral, the portal storms began raging over Earth. Oliver had heard a large bang and saw the gap open in the sky, taking his father to their basement to wait it out. After about two weeks, things began coming out of the rips in the sky. It started with small mortar canisters which weird creatures, which came to be known as headcrabs, hopped out of and onto the heads of innocent bystanders. Oliver saw this with his own eyes. Oliver's father took him down to the celler that they had built about a week prior. They heard moans and gunshots for about seven hours after that. By the 5th hour, it had began to smell terrible outside, and the screams of dying people and constant radio chatter had drowned out the moaning. By the sixth hour, the infected creatures had broken in to the celler. Oliver and his father had built a short-wave CB radio when he was about 9. They used that to contact anyone nearby, which alerted the Combine to their presence. Two units in heavy kevlar with strange looking weapons jumped into the celler, taking the creatures down and forcing Oliver and his father into a helicopter. A cloth bag was forced over each of their heads, their hands were zip-tied, and a set of blue boilers were plopped into their laps. After thirty minutes of the ride, they heard radio chatter about Earth's surrender. They were dropped infront of a city, formerly known as Pittsburgh, now known as City 19, told to put their clothes on, and forced into apartments. They had been given a blue package and toiletries, which they carefully aranged in their bathroom.
 
 After an uprising in City 19, which ultimately ended in the city being destroyed and the resistance crushed, Oliver and his father were taken to City 45, where they remained up until now.

7. What�s your most memorable quality RP experience?
I have two that are equal. My first and most memorable is when I went on a slums raid with the CCA (Then called MPF) on a server running rp_city18_v1. We caught three resistance members and it was great roleplay. My second is when I was taken hostage by an anti-citizen with a knife on this server. I was trying to catch him for the CCA and bring him in, I told him there was a supply drop in D2 and he was to take it. He pulled a knife when the units came out of the Change Shop, he then took me to the corner. The two units called in more units (Ended up being a total of 7 units, including an OfC, a DvL, and an EmU). The man dropped the knife and surrendered when the HC units came.

Lester Satrina arrived in City 45 directly out of City 17, after requesting to transfer under the false reason of participating in an experiment the City 45 Civil Administrator was doing. After he left the train, he went to District 6, where he met Daeny Morrison, an aspiring Resistance member with an insane plan to kidnap and murder a low-ranking CCA unit. Lester agreed to this after showing Daeny that he wasn't loyal to the Universal Union by assaulting a unit and being detained for it, as well as doing small errands for the local Resistance.

Before Daeny's plan could be carried out, however, Lester, Daeny, and another woman were arrested on contraband, audio violation, mobility violation, and conspiracy charges. They were put in a group cell, where Lester made his the last decision of his life. He told the units who were questioning him that the two women had nothing to do at all with contraband or the Resistance. He said that he would take all of their charges, so long as the two women were released. He was taken into the City 45 Nexus' torture chamber, where he was allowed to say his last words, which were "Let them go, tell them I am no more." The unit executing Lester nodded, flipped the switch, and looked away. Lester let out a terrible, bloodcurdling scream as the 1.91 Gigawatts of electricity surged through his body, stopping his heart after a full 30 seconds. He died with a single thought in his mind: Daeny's well being. He wanted her to live, and be able to carry out her plan. His mission in life was done. He had protected two women from his fate, and sacrificed himself for them. Daeny and the other woman ended up serving a single cycle in detainment on audio violations protesting Lester's execution

Not long after his death, his family in City 17, and his brother, Oliver Satrina, in City 45 were notified of his anti-civil involvement and his execution. His family notified his childhood friend, Sam Cruise, of his death. Cruise immediately took a train to City 45 to find answers regarding his death. His  brother remains a loyalist to the Universal Union regardless of his brother's death. Oliver rarely talks about his brother, but if you find him and ask him, he'll be likely to tell you this story.

Lesterwas also my shortest character ever on any RP server, his in-game life lasting a total of 20-30 minutes. He's now PK'd because of the execution.]

I have CCA units on other servers, I have an 03, a RCT, and a (deceased) EpU, all on other servers. Most of them barely get people to come anymore, or we're DDoSed and never came back.
